Story:
In Hell damned spirits group together every once in a while. This causes them to conglomerate to create Demons, monstrous beasts with little to no thinking abilities. The more spirits that merge the stronger it makes the Demon. The strongest Demons, which are usually created when a single Demon absorbs the powers of many others, are called Archdemons. On rare occasion when the damned spirits combine one of the spirits becomes dominate of the rest creating a Daemon. Daemons have intelligence and a more human appearance as well as the powers of a Demon. They can have any sort of personality, dependent on who the dominate spirit was when they were created. Also the new Daemon has no knowledge of who the dominate spirit was during its lifetime. The strongest Daemons are Devils. Devils are created when a Daemon, who is most of the time evil, becomes very powerful and merges with one of the twenty existing Devils, giving the Daemon all of its power. The Daemon will keep his personality and becomes the newest generation of that Devil taking its name as well.

Now, a few hundred years ago Daemons figured out a way to escape hell. It is a hard task because it is not easy to appear before a human soul before it is judged for the afterlife. But the method is, when a human who is not overtly good or overtly evil dies before their time, a Daemon will appear before it with a contract. The contract states that the human will come back to life at full health and the Daemon will be freed from hell and bonded with the human. The Daemons cannot take over the body of said person and can only be seen and felt by them, another person bonded to a Daemon, or any creature from Hell. If the person accepts this contract they come back to life and are referred to as a Medium, if they don't then said person dies completely. The Daemon usually does not have too much of an impact on the Medium's life.

Recently, The Seven strongest Devils: Lucifer III, Mammon XXV, Lilith Asmodeus (Previously Asmodeus XIV before the most recent Generation was a female Daemon who had previously merged with the lesser Devil, Lilith VII), Leviathan IX, Beelzebub XVIII, Amon XII, and Belphegor VI managed to do that which only the lesser Daemons and lesser Devils had done. Escape Hell via a contract with a Medium. This action allowed the twelve remaining lesser Devils and many Daemons to escape Hell through contracts as well without it being as nearly impossible as it was before. But this wave of escapes allowed a large group of Demons and Archdemons to escape from Hell but without Mediums they are more dangerous. After escaping all of these different beings are drawn to an enormous city located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Created by the seven strongest Devils shortly after their escape it was made by fusing all of the largest cities of the world. It was deemed Atlantis II due to its location. The Mediums now are learning or a hidden ability when they can combine with their Daemon or Devil to create an equal form that has special powers to battle. Each Medium gains their own specific abilities and needs them to survive on Atlantis II. Archdemons and Demons are trying to become the strongest they can become. The Devils mainly fight so they can rule the world. The Daemons mainly fight for survival. The Human Exorcists, who are sent to Atlantis II, fight to purge the world of these creatures from Hell.

Basic Idea(if you thought the story looked to long):
A creatures of varying types escaped from Hell some bound to specific humans some not. They are all drawn to an enormous city for their battle. The Demons, Archdemons, Devils, Other Daemons Human Exorcists are all fighting for their own reasons. Read the Full Story for more in depth explanation if you want it.


Rules:
1.Follow Gaia ToS
2. No Godmodding, this rule can be bent to an extent when it comes to stronger characters versus weaker ones.
3. Do not kill someone unless you ask permission first, and if you character is killed you will most likely be allowed to make another one.
4. No cybering. You can suggest you're going to do it then go to PM or some others means of doing it then comes back after it's over if you want.
5. Romance is NOT discouraged however.
6. Keep it somewhat PG-13 although I personally don't mind swearing or gratuitous violence.
7. Be as literate as possible and try not to use one liners although writer's block is understandable.
8. Stay Active.
9. Most important have fun.

Notes:
If you are a Medium then you RP the Medium and the Daemon/Devil unless you find someone who wants to play one of the roles opposite you. All mediums have a small amount of their power when not fused with their Daemon or Devil. All Mediums have advanced healing abilities so they can recover from fights quickly.

Bio: Was a normal guy. One day shortly after graduating from college, he got into a motorcycle accident when he accidentally drifted into the opposite lane and was hit by a semi truck and died. Beelzebub XVIII then appeared before him with a contract that he quickly signed and he was reborn with some slight physical differences.
Personality: Quiet. Not so much cold as he seems bored and uninterested in most things.
Description: Slightly tall, lean, athletic body, pale complexion, Shaggy black hair, piercing yellow eyes. He wears a black overcoat that only button down to his waist., black pants, with a belt, and black shoes.

Devil Powers: Can break himself apart and become a swarm of locust to attack or spy.
Devil Bio: One of the seven strongest Devils. He represents the sin of gluttony. Some think that he is not that big a threat and challenge him to a fight but are easily obliterated by his power.
Devil Personality: Not overtly evil, but not against it either. Doesn't care who his Medium is as long as he will still be able to eat. Still supports his Medium though and will help him when needed. A fan of the macabre an feasts.
Devil Description: over eight feet tall. He has a large gut and wheres black and gold colored garments like that of a royal. It is apparent that he wears armor underneath his clothing for the most part but some of the black armor is exterior such as pauldrons, shin guards, gauntlets, and a black metal mask that completely covers the front half and the entire top of his head. The back of his head is covered with long greasy black hait.He also wears a furry black cape.

Combined Powers: Can create multiple tridents at will and have them hover around himself. Can summon locust. Has superior control of electricity. Can fly at extreme speeds.
Combined Appearance: Maintains Vincent's basic appearance has black armor all over his body somewhat like an insects exoskeleton. Has locust wings. Has two horns on his head that are made from the same type of black armor. The lower half of his face is also covered with a black armor mask. He has Beelzebub's height and has red eyes.
