God, I could cry...
And then I did....
Why can't the scientists talk to her? It might make her feel a little better...
... but I guess that would be assigning human emotions to a non-human, which, while I am wont to do, is unfair to the whale. Maybe she does have companions. Maybe she is unfriendly to other whales, so her songs are meant to ward them off. Still. Poor thing.

But she sings out of range for other whales to even HEAR.
so she's probably not even doing it intentionally.
I think if humans sent out a signal of a whale she could hear, it would probably just stress her out even more. I mean if she doesn't know any better, it might not be as bad as we think? which could explain why she isn't following the normal whale migration paths
either way it's depressing as ******** and interests me so much
my question is, what happens if she physically happens to meet another whale? do they ignore her because she's not saying anything back? or what
