"I did," she said, impatiently, marching along behind him, thoroughly prepared to man-handle him into compliance if she had to. She sighed. She hadn't wanted to get into the issue of her companions if she could help it, but she supposed he'd be seeing for himself soon enough. "I've gathered some companions, along the way. Travel-mates, of a sort. You'll be meeting them all in good time."
She didn't sound very enthusiastic at the prospect.

He smirked, a little, then, starting to get an idea of what was going on here. "And did you tell them where you were headed?" He asked, noting mentally that she had come by herself on this potentially-risky venture -- and that nothing in her motives sounded like it was very likely to help anyone's desires but her own.
"Well, no," she muttered, looking anywhere but at him.
"I see." He kept an easy pace then, the rest of the walk back, secretly amused -- and a bit relieved -- that Kamiya was just as bad at maintaining friendships as he was. Perhaps they had much to learn from each other.
And, hey. Maybe this adventure wouldn't be so bad after all. What's the worst that could happen?
