You can get a big student discount for Photoshop if you buy at the right time. I only paid 200 for mine, which is a MAJOR improvement over the usual price.

And...I hate to break it to you..but...it'll be in good interest for you to get photoshop, especially if you want to do art professionally. I've never seen a professional artist that uses Sai or Gimp.; So...either save up for the student discount...or pirate.

Yeah, what Sil said. =V I've taken several digital art classes in high school, and only the people who were really computer savvy and art geniuses could make gimp work, let alone make anything impressive. lol

I'd recommend giving dA's paint thingy a shot if you already have an account... I'm not very creative, so it seemed bunk to me, but you may be able to make something nice (I've seen others do it). ^_^

Well o.o I prefer Paint Tool Sai better than Photoshop,It don't has all the effects than photoshop can offer you but It's still a really good program,I have the full
