The only one I've had a chance to play so far was shattered temple and I'd say it's a pretty good improvement on LT. It's more fair of a map all around now that the high grounds have been removed, and the islands have been replaced with blockaded entrances.
Also the big wide open middle gives zerg some room to manoeuvre which is nice.

I actually just saw that. Almost blew my mind, in fact. Haven't played any of them though, since I just got back to Japan. I've played ONE pub game, and I am... well... It's not pretty. emo

I played a TvZ on typhon peaks, seemed like an ok map though would have to play more games on it. The new ladder maps in general so far seem much better tho.
