Unfortunately, I think that SasuNaru becoming canon could ruin the whole thing.
Not for me, obviously, but it would for a majority of Naruto fans.
Even if that's what we want to happen, we can't put our feelings about it before the feelings of the kids and non-yaoi fans that watch Naruto. It could destroy it for them. I think that's why Kishimoto is definitely not planning any actual yaoi.
Of course, that's not stopping us from liking it! It's our duty as fans to add on to Kishimoto's fanbase until we can unite all fans in a huge mass of anime love! Straight and gay, yaoi, yuri, and het, all coming together as one just because of their love for the show! We must see to it that Kishimoto-sama's glorious work is not torn in two by pairing rivalry! :rock lee pose:

I wish it were possible for Kishimoto-sama to make a separate piece, maybe a yaoi-ish version of this, but then, I'm dreaming. *joins in dream* crying *writes a document pleading with Kishimoto-san to make a separate Naruto yaoi series.* TTuTT

I mean i was convinced he was until we met karin! now i'm sad crying crying crying I know exactly what you mean, considering that SasuNaru is my OTP. I don't know what I'll do if that's true! crying I just don't get that Karin! But I don't think that she's much of a threat, it's more like their friends. which reminds me. that jerk! he goes on and on about not having any bonds and then goes and gets more! kishimoto-san is confusing me!

If a girl liking him were proof that he wasn't gay, he would have been declared hetero during all the Sakura fangirling. No, he even looked very disturbed that time Karin tried to come on to him.
