xxxxxxxxxxxx≻xPersonality: Kasumi is mainly a serious person when you first meet her. That's because she's not sure how to act to people she doesn't know. So, her seriousness is just her way of showing uncertainty towards a new person. Once getting over that awkward phase, she's actually a very easy person to talk to. Even though she's slightly quiet most of the time, she'll show a mischevious side for pranks or teases. When it comes to work, she's on her best, but when she's not doing anything important, she's most likely sprawling somewhere, not wanting to move a muscle due to her lack of concentration at the moment or from not having a goal in mind. but because she's slightly busy most of the time, you'll see her training with others or doing important 'paperwork.'

xxxxxxxxxxxxx≻xPhysical Description: Kasumi is a skinny, but not anerexic, girl with raven black hair that is usually tied up in two ponytails. Her skin is pale and her eyes are a sharp blue. When she's not wearing her regular shinigami outfit, she's wearing black/ dark blue jean shorts and boots that go up to her knees. She has a short top and a jacket that she ususally never takes off. Kasumi has a 'childish' like feature to her face and even though she may look fragile and weak, she can throw in mean punches and insane combat skills.

xxxxxxxxxxxxx≻xZanpakuto Name and Sealed Description: Fuyu Fenikkusu (Winter Phoenix). In the sealed form, Fuyu is a regular, long bladed Katana. The only thing that makes it Kasumis' is that the blade, even though it's sealed, seems to glow a bright silver. The sheath is pure black until it reaches where the sheath meets the hilt. On that part, it shows a bright white star on one side.

xxxxxxxxxxxxx≻xShikai: Kibou, Fuyu Fenikkusu (Trick, Winter Phoenix). In Shikai, the silver blade will glow brighter than before, then suddenly turn pitch black. Near the hilt, a bright white star will show and the Winter Phoenix will decieve the opponent by thinking that Kasumis' zanpakutou is different than what it really is. By saying that, I mean that you have to look through what's shown. You would see a pitch black sword with a white star on it and think nothing of the element of ice nor that the soul is called 'Winter Phoenix.' Even her attacks aren't really ice based, but the true meaning behind the ice is for the ice cold instincts of a true hunter... of course, they're still ice attacks hidden up Kasumis sleeve. Once in Shikai, a blue fire forms over Kasumis' eye. What is it? Well, it acts like her 'telescope.' And just like how I described it is just how it acts. It can zoom in and out of focus, locating things far away from her. How powerful is it? Powerful enough to match a telescope.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx≻xBankai: tou sono kokoro, Fuyu ousama (Freeze the heart, Winter King). In Bankai, the star on Kasumis' black blade will glow once more. This time, her own spiritual pressure will consume her in a 'transformation.' But the pressure is thickest on her right arm, which wields her sword. The sword soon becomes a part of her arm and can transform into an ice shooting bazooka. The sword, once part of her arm, is a thick, very massive sword that looks like it can kill in one swing if you're not careful, and it can. For her bazooka like arm, Fuyu concentrates his own ice powers into these attacks and shoots them out at high power. Also in bankai, her blue fire comes forth. An addition is added to that blue fire. In her left eye, the eye that has the blue fire over it, the pupil turns into a 'cat slit.' That slit of a pupil can also widen to cover almost her entire eye. With this, she can locate people who are giving off spiritual pressure. She'll see in gray at first, if she's using it, but then once locating others who are giving off the slightest of spiritual pressure, her eye catches it as a strong blue color. No matter how far, she can still see it.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx≻xSkills: Can use Shunpo at a pretty good level. Kasumi is great with close combat and just heading into battle and, almost all the time, win it by pure perserverance, hard work, showing no mercy, or just having a 'winning' mind on. What others don't know is that she would draw on her free time. She's really good at drawing, but is kind of shy to show others her artistic works. Another skill is that she's very acrobatic. Her flexibility is insanely good and that helps with hand to hand combat with bigger and weird opponents.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx≻xBio: Kasumi wasn't born in one of those filthy districts like most others; she was born in one of those slightly rich families. Her family wasn't insanely rich, and they weren't poor either, but they definately weren't middle class. They were somewhere to the 'rich leve' and high above the 'middle class' level, if that makes any sense. So, as Kasumi grew up, she grew up with manners and with private instructers. She was suppose to have the best manners in all of soul society. She was suppose to be the calmest and angelic girl you'll ever find in your whole life. She was suppose to be the perfect child. Suppose is a good word for Kasumi, since she broke all of those dreams from her parents when she turned six.

At six, she started to get bored of the sweet life. She would watch the combat tutors train her elder brother in close combat and she would always watch in interest. What they didn't know was that she was secretly training herself as well. One day, she was so bored that she went out of the safety of the mannor and went into a district and stole a few breads and sweets. As she was running away from the angry bakery man, disguised in black tatters, she came across a group of hungry children who didn't have any grown ups to help take care of them. Curious, and wanting to help them, Kasumi gave them what she stole. From then on, at a certain time of the day when no one payed attention to her, she would run out and help the group of kids in the street. Why didn't she just take them back to her house? Because her parents would definitely say 'N.O.'

Even though she proved to be a rebel towards the tutors, they did get a few things out of her: Her artistic abilities shined at an early age; that meant that she wasn't a hopeless cause after all. Another was that her fighting skills were unique and precise for a young girl who is almost turning 'eight.' So, the fighting tutor had her practice her fighting skills and found out that her first strategy was always 'rushing into battle.' If that didn't work, then she'd go for the weak points on people. And she quickly learned a few weak points on males, even if she didn't know what she was hitting. The tutor soon got her parents into letting her join the academy when they felt the time was right. Her brother had joined the academy already and was doing okay, so her parents said 'go ahead.'

Kasumi went through the academy and found it challenging, though, because of the hours she spent on the academy, she had less time with the kids on the street. But she would definitely see them now and then, since they were doing well without her. As she went through the academy, something terrible happened to her oldest brother. On a mission with a few squad members, he had died after a hollow suddenly over powered their group and killed all but one. That one wasn't her brother and she and her parents felt nothing but grief for the next few months.

Saddened by the loss of her brother, her scores suddenly went down in the academy. Startled by this and the emotions that ran through her, she tried to bring them back up by focusing on her training. The only thing that kept her going was if she imagined her big brother encouraging her to keep doing good, even if he was gone. After that, Kasumi graduated from the academy and joined squad eleven. The Eleventh squad fit her perfect and she stayed within that squad, going up seats and ranks, soon taking on the responsibility of a Captain.
