Kaleb was seriously considering it. Well, not entirely seriously, but he was considering it. He had raided his mother's medicine cabinet; a small bottle of sleeping pills sat on his desk, he had a can of pepsi before him. His parents were out--Thali had had an unexpected need to hurry to the store, and of course, her husband obliged. They didn't know what had happened... No one knew. Not even his older brothers did, and Vincent and Joshua typically prided themselves on knowing everything that went on within the household.

Kaleb was facing Adelle's miscarriage alone. And the lust liberality spawn was not taking it at all well. The baby was gone, and there was nothing he could do about it. ...But the baby had been mostly angel, right? So it would be in Heaven. Could he join the baby? Sure, he was half demon, but even demons must have had had some place in Heaven. At least... the good ones probably did.

He knew he shouldn't have been bitter towards Adelle. He didn't even know how it had happened--but he was. And while logically he knew that these things happened and something might have been wrong with the baby so it wouldn't have survived even if it had gone full term--he wanted someone to blame. For some reason the liberality spawn could not bring the blame on himself--perhaps it was part of the angelic trait--he was giving the guilt away; technically. It was something he didn't want to deal with, when he already a weight on his chest that he didn't understand. He'd never felt anything like it. He felt as if his heart'd been torn out.

She was gone. The baby was gone. The fact that the Titanic was playing on the television screen didn't help. (Did Jack really have to die everytime the movie played? Really?)

Though normally the town would be filled with so many sounds, ones that would always captivate Mischa's attention, it sounded absolutely silent to him. The buzzing of the cars, the horns from them, the sounds of the birds, kids being let out of their after school programs.. It was all so silent.. So very silent.. It was the kinda silent that left one feeling empty, and with far too much time to think about things.

Being so high up above the city make it only worse, because the silence was even more evident.. Mischa was just a little afraid of going so high, but it wasn't the time to be scared.. No, not at all. If the rumors he had heard in the marketplace was true, there was someone who really needed him..

Oh the rumors.. They were horrible.. It was a tale of a girl whom he had hated for some time.. He hated her so much that she wished she had fallen off the face of the earth, that perhaps one day she would rot away like the scum that she was... She had been with child, you know? A tiny little seed born from a lusty encounter had been created.. And kids, even born in that way, couldn't be hated.. No, they were innocent... Somewhere in his heart, he had kinda hoped that that kid and him could have been friends... If the rumors were true.. That kid was gone.. That stupid, barely humanoid girl had done something that made the baby inside her vanish. He didn't understand what was going on, only that the one that he had wished so hard to see was hurting really badly because his baby was gone.

Despite as angry as he was that the whole thing started in the first place, he couldn't simply let someone hurt.. No matter who it was.. And by his knowledge, that stupid girl wasn't hurting at all... Just the thought of this made him angrier, his wings flapping harder to reach his destination. He silently thanked his own father for the goggles that covered his eyes, for without them, he would have been unable to see. Night was quickly approaching. Thanks to his older brother, Mischa was able to find the house he was looking for, the one that belonged to the boy who was hurting.

Letting his wings go limp, he began to fall, feet first into the ground, and right before he hit it, his wings spread out wide, letting him near float to the ground. He was finally getting good at the while landing thing.

With his still rather small fist, he knocked on the door, hoping with all he had that the boy with the silver sharp wings was still home.

A knock at the door alerted Kaleb of Mischa's presense. The lust spawn was reluctant to leave his room--he didn't want to see anyone. Besides, it was probably Lissy, or someone looking for Vincent or Joshua. They always had company. It was difficult to be jealous when you were a liberality spawn, but Kaleb had found that it wasn't entirely impossible. He wanted the attention they had... it wasn't fair. It wasn't fair.

It might have been the lust dna in him that made it possible to desire the love and attention they recieved and to be envious of them. Certainly he was still willing to give without expecting anything in return...but he wanted the happiness his brothers had. He opened the door, and stared for a moment before recognizing the boy. After all, the last time he had seen the black haired lust spawn, they had been toddlers.

And at a petting zoo. Why was he here? "Mischa?" the liberality spawn asked in amazement. "What brings you here?"

As soon as the door opened, Mischa flew over to the boy, hugging him as tightly as he could, his tentacles reaching up to pet the taller boys hair.

"Kaleb.. Kaleb are you okay..?" He asked, his lip quivering. The thought.. The jsimply idea that he created something with that witch, and she had the never to... To... A soft sob reeked through his small body, rubbing his cheek to the other's chest.

"Please say you're okay.. Please.."

Kaleb blinked in surprise, but slowly wrapped his arms around Mischa. He didn't know the boy very well; but the liberality in him made it hard to resist returning a hug. The boy wanted him to lie? Wait. Mischa was crying? Crying for him?

"I'm okay," the lust and liberality spawn assured the younger boy with a forced smile. He tightened his arms ever so slightly around the boy he'd met when they'd been toddlers. "Well, Mischa, you have good timing," Kaleb couldn't help being grateful, really. Mischa might have saved his life.

It was funny, really.. Why was he the one crying? Why did he, indeed, come here? Everything was so sad.. Everything, the baby that was gone, the sad father, the b**** of a mother, they all played a part in making this whole situation, one filled with tears..

"Do.. Do you need me to stay..? I'll stay if you want.. I'll take care of you until you smile for real, not this fake smile.." He poked the older boy's cheeked, showing that he could feel the tight muscles there that gave evidence to a lie.. "I can cook, and clean and do all sorts of things.. Just don't be sad.. That girl is just a.. A.. A 'floozy', that's what the ladies called her in the market... And.. And if there baby was still here, I woulda helped make the baby happy too, because everyone needs to be happy." He was ranting now, nervous, but trying to be strong

"That would be nice," Kaleb agreed, rather surprised that the boy was being so kind to him. "You can stay, if you want," he gave Mischa a small smile. "Thank you. I can cook and clean though, you don't have to."

He paused and stared at the younger boy. "Floozy?" he repeated, a ghost of a grin appearing on his face. "Is that what they called her? A floozy? I wish the baby still was..." Intense sadness replaced the ghostly smile; for once in the liberality spawn's life, he had been selfish. He had wanted to keep that baby.

"I agree," he said softly. "Everyone needs to be happy."

Mischa bit his lip, unsure of what to do now... He kinda just stood there, fidgeting with the edge of his shirt. What the hell was he doing here anyway! What could he have honestly done..? Nothing really.. Nothing at all..

"I.. Uh.. I'm not quite sure how babies are made.. I mean.. I have an idea, that you need two people but... Um... Maybe one day, I can give you another baby. Then you can be happy, right?" He had no idea what he was talking about.. But... Maybe that could take that sad expression off of his face..
