Arthur

Race: Sand Shepard

Sex: Male

Age: 26

Weight: 175 lbs.

Height: 5'10"

Appearance: His body is covered from head to toe with shimmering golden fleece. Where it's a light coat on most of his body, it does grow out in curly lengths on top of his head, neck, and legs. His fur appears to be pain-painstakingly maintained and manicured. He wears very little clothing, only enough to preserve his modesty.

Orientation: Bisexual, but has a strong preference for females.

Abilities: Avoids combat due to pacifistic nature. Prefers pacifying hostiles with hypnotic eye contact, which produces a powerful soporific effect. Enemies that succumb to his gaze are vulnerable to post-hypnotic suggestion, but Arthur rarely engages in it, since he finds manipulating mortal minds against their will to be an abhorrent practice. If that fails and his attackers get close, Arthur can fall back on sleep dust, which has an instant effect. However, he can't produce a lot of dust magically, so he'll often attempt to run away after disorienting enemies. Can emit low-level telepathy through physical contact, and is capable of transmitting feelings and simple thoughts. Such an ability is required for Arthur to eat dreams, a process harmless to the sleeping mortal that simply produces a single dreamless night's sleep while nourishing Arthur.

Bio: Arthur was born into a benevolent cabal of sheep-like spirits called the Sand Shepards, a race tasked with bringing sleep to mortals troubled by insomnia. Once considered an elite in their group, he was suddenly forced to leave by unknown circumstances. He now ekes a modest living in the mortal realm as a traveling therapeutic hypnotist. Arthur's diet consists solely of mortal dreams, often taken as partial payment for curing mortals of their nighttime ails. While he can go months without eating dreams, he eats at least once a week to stave off hunger. However, nightmares are inedible. Arthur has a fondness for humans, preferring their dreams above all other sapient races.

Personality: Humble and somewhat shy, but can get fairly talkative around people he's comfortable with. Avoids eye contact, even with friends.
