London has existed in one form or another for about ten years, and is my first Harry Potter original character. She was originally intended as a blonde Ravenclaw, cheerfully saying very dark and awkward things, as a “gothic” spin on Luna Lovegood. She evolved into the deadpanned, sultry daughter of Severus Snape, girlfriend to Ginny Weasley and best friend to Dame Hellstorm. She has been a bad guy, a hero, a McDonalds manager, a Russian singer, and an unapologetic murdering vampire. And in her most recent rehashing, she has become the London you know today: the low-voiced, over-affectionate Head of Hufflepuff, a former member of the Coversluts and incapable of holding a relationship.
But in addition to being a hot mess, London has an affinity for style - not necessary high fashion, but quirky compilations of clothing that define her as moving a little to the left of everyone else. Close enough to match but not close enough to keep her from wearing a tie and bikini top at the same time.
