Gaia Enhancement Suite
Cross-browser mods to better your Gaia experience.
Current Version: 2.6
Released: 2014/03/27

This script will work on Firefox, Chrome, and Opera (if you're still using IE, I highly recommend you switch, even if you don't use GES).

To see what this gets you, read the Modules section on the next post.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Firefox users: First, you need to install the Greasemonkey extension, and restart your browser when required. Then, click here, and click the Install button. Follow the instructions on the dialog box that pops up.

Chrome users: Similar to Firefox, except replace Greasemonkey with Tampermonkey. Alternatively, install the beta ...

Opera users: You have the roughest time. First, you need to enable user scripts. Follow the directions here. I did not find a Tools menu in the latest version--it has apparently been renamed Settings. You can also go straight to Preferences with Ctrl+F12.

Once you specify a script folder, go to it (and make it if it doesn't yet exist). For example, I set my script folder to C:/operascripts.

Finally, click here, right click on the Install button, and save the file to the script folder you just configured.

How to Use

Once you have the script installed, you should see a new option, "GES", on the header. It will look something like this:

To open the GES Settings Window, click on that link.

The Settings Window contains a list of modules. Here, modules can be enabled/disabled, and their options changed (if they have any). If a module has options, the "Options" button will be clickable. Click it to reveal the options for that module.

Don't worry about saving any of the settings. They're all saved automatically.

Better Ignore (added in 1.0)
Hides threads created by users on your ignore list. Also, ignore users in a thread faster.
Thread Filter (added in 1.2)
Hides threads that have titles matching filters you configure.
Thread Highlighter (added in 1.0)
Highlights threads made by users on your friend list, or which have under a certain number of replies.
Quickbump (added in 1.0)
Allows you to quickly post in a thread with a prewritten message.
Quick Quote (added in 1.1)
Quick Reply, but with quoting.
Light Text Revealer (added in 1.2)
Reveals light text in posts.
QuickSell (added in 1.2)
List an item in the marketplace as a bid-only, 0g-starting auction for up to an hour (useful for getting rid of small items quickly).
Custom Emoticons (added in 1.3)
Allows you to quickly insert images into posts, using :keyword: syntax.
User Notes (added in 2.0)
Keep notes about users, for future reference.
Account Switcher (added in 2.0)
Switch between accounts easily.
Custom Tags (added in 2.0)
Define your own BBCode-like tags, for easier formatting.
Usability Tweaks (added in 2.1)
Small tweaks around the site, including the ability to select multiple PMs simultaneously through shift-clicking the check boxes, and fixing Captcha tab indexes.
Forum Sorter (added in 2.4)
Sort a forum by replies, thread title, or author.
