Encyclopedia of the RuroKen Martial Arts
Ha-ha. Fear the Laziness that is Taiyo. Yes, I very much stole this from Sakabatou, but I sure as well wasn't going to type this up again. If you want to, be my guest. I sure as hell ain't looking all of this up again.
Ahem, onward. Are you ever in a battle and can't remember the names of the attacks or even the style? Well, that's alright because here is the directory of pretty much all the martial arts shown in the series. So now, you can use that super ultra double bladed Kentoryu Hirugamineko technique that you've been thinking of.
By the way, for those who have made-ups (this applies to myself as well), I know a lot of you may complain when I say this, but if you want to use the Original RuroKen techs, you have to talk to me and the user who is playing the founders or main users of the style. (I.E. Kaoru, Aoshi, Hiko, Kenshin, etc), and even then, the chances of your character learning a specific style may be slim. For example, Kenshin said that he would never teach the HMR style to anyone. On the other hand, Kaoru is looking for members for the KKR.
BUT You can, If your character practices a style not from the series, then that's just dandy. You can make up your own, or you can have a real style (like Jeet Kun Do Kung Fu, or Kenkokan Karatedo). Just remember... no powerplaying! Your "Hikaru no Akai" can't be the 'most powerful martial art in the world, even more strong than Hiten Mitsurugi'. No. That doesn't work. Try to remember that although you may want your character to be more powerful than Kenshin or Saitou, it doesn't work. I know it may sound unfair, but I'm just trying to make things run smoothly.
Okay, that's enough rambling for now. Onto the main attraction.
Sword Styles
Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu
A school of ancient swordsmanship created during the Sengoku jidai. This style made it so that the student would be able to attack multiple enemies at once and to cut them down in an instant. Those who practice this style must swear that they will only use this style to protect the weak and oppressed and to not any faction, so not to imbalence wars.

Kamiya Kasshin Ryu
This school was created by the father of Kaoru Kamiya, a man who believed in 'A sword that protects others', a different look then the other styles that are meant to kill. Therefore, the techniques of this school are mean to defend and prevent the opponent from continuing the fight (i.e. disarming, knocking out). Bokken and Shinai are used moreso than real swords.
Users- Kaoru Kamiya (Upcoming Sensei), Yahiko Myojin, Yutaro Tsukayama, Outa Higashidani (Later in Series)
Special Techniques- Tsuka no Gedan, Hizahishig, Hawatari/Hadome. Matsu Daitatari
Gatotsu
More of a technique then a style, it's still agressive none the less. To put it simply, Gatotsu has a series high-speed swordthrusts that can pierce through the strongest of enemies, almost impossible to dodge and survive. Many of the Shinsengumi used this techinque often.
