Like the title said, I want to overhaul the entire look of my avatar. I would like to keep it an overall black color, but that's not necessary. It looks pretty bad now, so I am open to any and all suggestions (what items I could use, getting rid of some items, wearing this item a different way, etc.) on how to make it presentable since I am thinking of signing up for the Avatar Arena.
So...What does everybody think?

If you want to stick with dark, then do, but you could try some dark grey stuff to make the black of the other items stand out.
Try the outlaw biker shirt in coal, or ash, perhaps. It's cheap, and it'll be under the chestplate, so it might work...and make the chestplate stand out, too.
Or use an orange shirt to highlight your shoes...

I'm not really a fan of the Jack shoes myself...
I agree with Jiggy though, some other greys might help the black stand out. And it would still be relatively dark...

The pants should go. They rarely ever look good on anyone. I suggest maybe getting black shorts and then pairing them with red socks since you seem to be going for the black and red look. Maybe also put the joker wand in another position and change the shoes to all black shoes. Then get a red head item of some sort (sorry, not too good with male items) to cover your navy hair. Then maybe get a red vest and belt or even a new shirt all together. Or, if you're going for solely gray, as Jiggalicious said, get shades of gray to spice up the black.
It's a nice start, though.

I agree with Ted Logan in that those pants are very hard to co-ordinate for. I'd go for a decent pair of black jeans (or the black Aero pants), a red shirt with the black musketeer top over it, maybe a red pimp hat...
For shoes, I think that charred tundra boots are pretty cool, though they may not work with everything else I've suggested. Maybe the noir VOX sneakers?
