I like them are they worth hoarding what do you think? I think they are adorable but they have limited positions... I'm not sure on this one. I'd also like your opinions on the KiKi/CoCo hats. I have hoarded them but I would still like your thoughts on them.

I'm no pro, but here's what I think.
In my opinion, I think that the cupcakes are going to be the "winners" of this year's anniversary items. Not because they're cuter, but because of supply. Everyone gets the links to the hats; not everyone realizes that you have to post to get the cupcake. Thus, there's going to be less of them. There is the chance that I'm wrong, but the cupcakes are higher than the hats in the MP right now--my prediction is that it will stay that way. Long-term hoard, yes. I think they're a good item to pick up for a long-term, low-cost hoard. The same goes for the hats, really. Because who knows what Coco/Kiki items Gaia comes out with later. They're coming out with scarves based on old MCs, who's to say they won't do this for the cats, as well? If they do introduce more Coco/Kiki items, I predict a boost in price for the hats. And look at the slippers. I think those are a good example of how the hats will do--as long as they're not overhoarded.
Make sense?

I think that I'm going to buy as many cupcakes as I can. =o I have plenty of hats. Thanks for posting!

While I agree with IDK about the relative rarity of the cupcakes, I don't think they're going to skyrocket in price because they're just not that useful as items go. What they have going for them is that they're a "Gaia" item in the traditional pink and blue, but unless you're doing a Gaia-themed avi, they just don't have that much general use.
I expect they'll rise some with time, most items do. But this isn't the kind of item people quest for.

IMO the hats will do okay as a hoard, the fact that they are classic character related and will still be relatively cheap will make them attractive to new users. I'm not going overboard on them though. maybe just 50 of each.

They've been 15k like forever, and when I hoarded them months ago I remember buying them under 20k, it was a loss in the end.

Is why they are called a long term hoard and not a quick hoard, if you want fast gold you should dabble in some rigs.

But I have my doubts about the RIGS, do people really buy the Love Charm I at 300k right now? O_O I myself can't afford buying such a risky item for opening it, not even at 100k now unless it's for selling later D: So do they really sell? It's safe to invest? O:

O: oh I'm not expecting huge profits i started out with events I know how they work.. anyway with regards to RIGs the longer you keep them the harder they are to sell, for quick profit look at 1-2 months or, if you get cold feet, dump them just before the next RIG, you'll still make a little profit. because the next RIG always makes the previous one dip slightly, but they do go back up. hope this helps.

I agree with purplewiz. I think more focus should be on the fleece hats instead of the cupcakes.
As for the kitty slippers they have raised significantly actually. Back then, I bought them around 1-3k. It took quite some time to get them around the 15-20k range but it was huge profit nonetheless. The only thing that matters is patience and a mindset to make it as a long-term hoard.

I bought like fifty cupcakes. And I have one hundred of each fleece hat.
I am happy with this although I might add on to that hoard just because I have the gold to do it.
