Hearing the giant being kind to the little boy made Brise's worries fade. Only someone with a good heart could do that, she had learned that well over the years.
Maverik pulsed at her side, feeling the change in his mistress.

After finishing the mead, Brise stood and started for the door, she had rested, and now needed to let Maverik stretch from his Weapon form. Maybe she could find somewhere no one would see them for about an hour.

"Head for the forest, Brise. That will at least give us cover for a time." Maverik sighed, aching to stand on his own instead of relying on Brise to carry him around.
Brise nodded, already daydreaming of time long gone.

Looking around, Chanoch was no where in sight. The little boy must have taken it with him... Natania concluded. She traveled further down the stairs and glanced inside the next room, looking for Gruun. He called out the name of his master as the giant offered him a seat on his leg. That must be Keto. Natania gave a curious stare seeing as how Chanoch was floating next to the little boy without her controlling her puppet at all. Not ending the show just yet, Natania continued to mimic the old man's voice as if he were still there, not making an appearance. "Hohoh. Why thank you, young lad. These legs of mine have become too nimble to be walking down such stairs. Youth is still so energetic nowadays," Chanoch chuckled. "Is this the man you were looking for? My, my. He is awfully big." Something had twitched in the back of Natania's mind. She looked confused at herself briefly before shaking it off and continued her performance.

Soddus stood on the landing that overlooked the tavern, his crimson eyes watching everything, a small smile played on his face. This was his home and he was rather proud of the people who also called this castle their home. So many things could go wrong when mixing the races in the outside world, but here things were peaceful. Lifting his great sword, Dragon’s Bane, to rest on his right shoulder Soddus stepped down the last few stairs.

Soddus walked through the tavern nodding to some and giving a smile to others as he made his way to the main entrance. The doors of the Abysmal Haven opened for their master on silent hinges. Soddus stood in the door way looking around at the courtyard of his home. The crimson gaze of the Astral Dragon Lord swept over the cherry blossom tree grove before turning to face the night sky. A smile played on the lips of the Astral Dragon Lord as his rather impressive wings unfurled from his back. Stretching his wings a little Soddus made sure he was ready to take flight and head to a place he had been searching for, another place he could call home.

Taking one last look around Soddus smiled, then with one powerful beat of his massive wings, Soddus shot into the air. Soddus soared above the castle that housed the Abysmal Haven. Looking around Soddus allowed his gaze to scan the trees of the Forgotten Forest, then over the crystal clear waters of the Moonless Lake. Turning his gaze north to the Shadow Mountains Soddus smile grew. He allowed himself to glide down till he stood on the battlements of the castle. “All dragons who call these lands their home, I Soddus Forsworn, descendant of Bahamut the father of our kind, and Lord of the Astral Dragons welcome you to join me and the Forsworn Family at Bahamut’s Mount where you will find a home befitting our kind!” Soddus called out, his voice echoing all throughout the lands that surrounded the Abysmal Haven. With this done the Lord of the Abysmal Haven turned to face the north, his wings propelled him from the battlements north towards Bahamut’s Mount and his new home.

Having yet to emerge from her hiding spot from Gruun and Keto, Natania kept her gaze in the direction of where the Demonic Cavern was still being created. Not knowing what it was, someone, or something, was calling for her to go to it. This was not the first time she felt this way; it was this same feeling that had brought her to this haven to begin with. For a brief time, she had also felt the need to head in the direction of where the Vampire lair was located, but no where near as strong as how her feet was willing to walk toward this unknown location blindly. Where does it want to lead me? How dark is this place? she pondered. Natania was not a fool; she knew how often she is attracted to a place with a strange aura about it. The weakness of this is that she never knew what it was or where it would even lead her. Should I go... Glancing back at her marionette, she manipulated him to land back on the ground, bowing his head slightly. Well then, I am glad to see that you are reunited with your friend, sonny. This may seem sudden for an old man like me, but I must be on my way.

Chanoch "walked" back toward the position Natania stood at as if planning on exiting the building entirely. He would continue to chuckle to himself and mutter words such as, "What a nice young boy" as an old man would think his thoughts out loud. After arriving at Natania's feet, she reached out her hands toward his strings as he fell limp. Opening up her case, she placed Chanoch inside and headed toward the doors of the haven. Her thoughts traced back to the conversation she had with the human named Incinerator and his offer about living with demons. Is it that place that calls me? Not hesitating in her steps, case by her side and other hand in her pocket jacket, she left on her mini journey.

"My nanny said it was my mother..."
"...my butler says it is my father..."
"...I say it is an annoying blue light that wont go away"

Violet Moonbeam

Violet Rode up to the castle with Orcus. "Well this looked like the place" she said getting off her horse. She was a little worried what the people here would be like but with her bow skills and Orcus by her side she knew they wouldnt be in any real danger.

Orcus dismounted his shire and patted it's mane. With this, Orcus took both horses and tied them up to a nearby post where they would have access to water, the shire looked tired and it was no doubt that carrying such a big man with so much armour would do that to a horse. He returned to the queen's side, a little bit less tense and ready for a fight, more hopeful for a feast or a warm, happy greeting. "I guess we knock now, don't we?" He jested and took a step forward, towards the door, making sure to wait for the queen's approval.

Violet Moonbeam

Violet nodded and walked up to the door. She knocked as hard as she could but she felt as though it was small and quiet compared to the big door. "I hope they can hear us" she said quietly to Orcus.

Orcus stepped next to the queen and cleared his throat. He tapped the ground with the butt of his halberd. "Announcing the presence of Queen Moonbeam of the Elven Domain, here to present herself, as an ally, to the monarch of the Abysmal Haven." His voice was amplified after the first few feet beyond his mouth and it echoed in the hall on the other side of the doors. He turned to the queen, his voice normal now. "We must be polite so let's consider ourselves as equals to the monarch here." A nod and a smile ended his part.

Violet Moonbeam

Violet rolled her eyes. Of course Orcus again was reviling who she was before they were sure she would be safe. "Ok... maybe next time wait till we're inside" she said looking at the big door. "Maybe they're not even home"

Orcus put his hand into his robes under his armour and pulled out a throwing knife between his fingers. "It's a common curtacy to announce one's presence, my queen. Besides, if there weren't any allies around, we would have been ambushed at the entrance. It's not logical to wait too long." Orcus srugged. "I've got the situation covered." He bent his legs slightly and took his halberd into his chest, slowly. His only open body part was his arm and it was thoughrouly covered in armour. "I honestly don't think there's anything to worry about though."

Violet sighed and turned around. "Well Orcus i guess know one is here" she said a little sadly. She walked back to her horse and said "Should we go?"

Orcus stepped beside his horse. "Aye. We don't want to stay here too long. Let's be on our way." He mounted his shire and began toward the elven domain, waiting only for the Queen to mount and follow close.

Violet nooded and got onto her horse. "Off we go" she said then started riding back home to her castle.

The shire kicked up some dirt as it began it's trot and then gallop besides Queen Moonbeam. If Orcus kept a steady hand on the reigns then the trip back to the Elven Domain shouldn't take any longer than a few hours.
