Years ago, there were two brothers. Twins, perfectly matched to one another. The eldest was a fae named Jane. Jane: a child whose telepathic powers and empathy allowed him to feel and read the thoughts and emotions of others. The youngest was named James. James: a child whose telepathic powers and empathy allowed him to push his thoughts and emotions onto another. The brothers were perfect for one another, the perfect team.
They got along well for the first one thousand years of their lives. Then, the day came that their father, king of the fae, fell ill and perished. Who was to take the throne? All their lives, they had believed they were going to share it. They would split the kingdom in two, and make their rules for their own section. Two states.
The day came to settle the estate, and neither was pleased. It had been realized that only the eldest could take throne, the kingdom could not be split. The younger became upset, vengeful. His brother offered him some of the wealth, to no effect. He didn't want the money; he wanted to be a rightful ruler, he wanted to rightfully inherit the money.
The brothers separated, each trying to find their own solution to their dilemma. James was the first to find the solution. He could rightfully reign if he could successfully lay siege to the central castle. It wouldn't be easy, but he would try.
And try he did, over the next three thousand years. Current day, there was a small time of peace over the last decade, though both sides are getting antsy. Jane is still trying to come up with the solution, and James is still trying to storm his brother's castle.

There is a war going on amongst the fae. Everyone has to pick sides, well, almost everyone. There are some that remain neutral to the war, though no one knows how long that will last. There is separation between families even, just like the twins for power. Some want Jane to remain as ruler, some believe it is James' turn to rule. Either way, no one is safe.
This takes place in the slight future, when even humans know about the fae and other creatures. Not all creatures are fae, and fae have a large array of powers at their fingertips. They have their natural fae gifts, which are flight, and fae dust. The dust has healing qualities, and they can create it. Thus, they can heal anyone around them if they would like to. -I do not like god-modding, nor should there be any. Yes, this is a war, and you will get hit. You are NOT invincible. No auto-hitting, etc.
-This is a literate rp, and I expect a paragraph per post. No one liners.

He no longer acknowledged Jane, and he has been warring against his brother ever since.I'm an individual, though this is how I normally act.James is harsh, against anyone who disobeys him. He constantly refuses to admit he has family, although his brother visits almost once a week. Generally cruel, James is known for hurting people because he feels like it. He insists that there need not be a reason for punishment, he can give it whenever he wants to. He, of course, took pity on her and raised her. Slowly, she learned to cook, and she became the chef of the house, known by most of Jane's followers as a legendary chef.I'm an individual, though this is how I normally act.Chrissy tends to overreact- to everything. Especially flying apples. She is rather energetic, and known to spout off what is on her mind. One of the few servants that is allowed to randomly burst into meetings, she does that a fair bit, to double check menus. Frightened easily, she jumps and squeals every time something catches her off guard. Of course, she is just like any other teenage girl in the fact that she enjoys dressing up and all that stuff, and she will outright express her opinions. Basically, she is always different.I hold favoritesCooking, as long as nothing is flying. Um...Jane, of course- he did raise me, after all. But there are something I hate.Flying fruits. Believe me. Too many fruits fly out of the kitchen while I'm cooking and freak me out! I think they are ghosts, half the time. Then I found out that it is Jane's psychic friend. Again.Where did you get that? Get it away, now!Flying food items, ghosts...and the days when James comes to visit under invitation. He still sends a shiver down my spine. Human, bound to the life-force of an elder Fae's spirit That means I can do a lot of special things Meld into and emerge from stone, sand or soil And there are a couple of things that only I can do Works of prestidigitation, masterful powers of suggestion / 'silver tongue' If you have time, I think I will share some of my memories with you... Raised with the Fae war raging about him, Demetri lost most of his family to the collateral damage from skirmishes fought near his home. When all that was left was he and his younger sister, they journeyed away from their home to find a safer place to reside. But in time, even the young girl lost her life in the chaos around them. Alone and desperate, Demetri slumped in a cemetary, having all but given up. In a dream, a strange Fae's spirit approached him, and they struck a bargain - the spirit would prevent him from aging and grant him the power he'd need to stop the war, in return for housing the spirit within his body. I'm an individual, though this is how I normally act. Demetri despises the war, and though he doesn't entirely understand how the powers he's received will help him end it, he remains vigilant, and has formulated several of his own plans for ending this pointless conquest. Apart from this, Demetri is charismatic, eloquent, and tenacious in his diplomatic endeavors. He values knowledge and resolution over anything else, and does his best to avoid any actual conflict. I hold favorites Illusions, intellectual discussion, philosophy, peace But there are something I hate. Pointless statements or actions, inaction, apathy Where did you get that? Get it away, now!
