Tap tap tap, it could be heard from a great distance, then a long silence...
Tap tap tap! What was that sound!?
All that could be seen in the dense cluster of trees was a white and black pelt. The moon's rays reflected off the coat as well as the small pond a few feet away. A burley rabbit had been kicking at a log that had fallen beside the pond.
Charnette was attempting to kick the log into the water so that she may stand on it, for what reasoning or logic, there was none... Her blazened red eyes flickered back and forth between each set of kicks, checking for other intruding on her intentions.

Ugh! What was that noise! Akio had been trying to sleep in his shallow hutch until that wretched NOISE started. Muttering angrily to himself, he stood and cocked his ears to the wind, waiting for that horrid sound to come again, so he could investigate. Surely once the perpetrator knew they were disturbing the peace they would cease to make such noises.
There it was, a persistent tap tap tapping by the pond. His little pink noise sniffed at the air as he made his way to the water, and he saw who it was, and what she was doing.
"Excuse me! You, on the log. What is it you're doing? And do you know some of us are trying to sleep? It's terrible, that noise you're making!" he called out. Anyone who saw his very pink pelt, as well as the ribbon around his ear, would think him a female. But no, he'd had the blessing - curse? - of being born a very pink male. Any who called him female soon got a small earful of the angry little rabbit telling them of his correct gender.

Charnette swiftly glared in the direction of the male voice. Her eyes twitched slightly. She gave the log one more quick kick before hopping down.
"What am I doing...?! No.. What are you..." she paused before laughing hysterically. "Me....HA...wait..." she was besides herself. "Did you roll around in a pile of berries?!" Between her laughter, her words almost seemed to be shouts.
Her words echoed through the the trees. She stopped laughing and started kicking the log more.

He caught the glare she sent his way and watched as she kicked once more before coming down.
...and then she laughed. Akio's ears twitched, before laying back as he glared at her, a flush darkening his cheeks. "Hey! This is my natural pelt!" The echo of her words came back to hit him again as he watched in disbelief. She was really going to keep kicking that log!
"What's so funny about me being this color? And what do you need with that log anyway?! Can't it wait for morning?" he yelled as he hopped closer.

She turned around quickly before scoffing.
"Pink...Natural! You are joking, yes?" She quickly ran up to him and looked him over.
"Fine... It could be..." she turned back to the log and hopped back over to to it.
"Morning...this is my morning! And is it not obvious?! I want this to be in the pond over there." She looked back to the pond and chuckled. She had no logical reason. Charnette winced and turned back to the pink bunny.
"Who are you Pinkie??" she laughed once more.

He blushed harder still, hating at that moment that fact that he'd been born so very pink. "Not joking," he spat as she came closer, then sighed as she went back to the log. He looked confused as she answered him.
"How can this be your morning? It's dark outside! The moon is up." He blinked and tilted his head to the side, ears twitching a little. "My name's Akio. Who are you?"

Charnette giggled for a moment, perhaps it was true, but it didn't change the fact that she still found it funny that he was pink. She turned and tried to push the log with her shoulder before falling to the ground.
"Well you see... " she looked back to him, "I sleep during the day, and I am awake at night... You don't do the same..? "
She shook her head, she thought everyone did the same as her, but obviously she was oblivious to the fact that she hardly saw anyone when she was awake anyway. Charnette heard the name and smirked, it sounded like a pink name too.
"I see. I am Charnette, I would say it is nice to meet you, but so far you seem to not understand me, so I could not say that so far, now could I?" she questioned him as she tilted her head and glared at him.
"Aren't you going to help me? Or just stare?"
