Cody chuckled softly, holding onto Edes carefully so as to not get him wet from the slight dampness of his skin. He didn't mind how clingy the spawn was being one bit. In fact, he kinda liked being held so closely as if he was truly needed and missed. Not to mention he missed the feeling of holding the spawn so protectively. "I noticed. Looks and smells amazing Edes. So, will you be eating with me as well?" he asked, flashing the boy a soft smile. "Cause I would hate to eat all of this wonderful food alone," he murmured, planting a soft kiss onto his forehead.

Cody allowed himself to be led to the table, sitting as closely as possible to the boy he had claimed as his lover. There was no way he would let the spawn out of his sight unless he had to for fear of losing him again. The pain at being separated from him was one he didn't intend on enduring anytime soon.

"Hm? Yeah... I can't believe my plan worked to be honest. I never expected to get out of those labs so soon or so easily. It was hell there Edes. Just absolute torture being-well, I won't spoil this amazing meal about that. I'm here, better mentally than before, and currently with someone who I love and that's all that matters to me right now," Cody replied, reaching over to lightly rest his hand on Edes' knee. "And I'm here to stay. Now... Back to the subject of food..." Laughing softly at his own hunger, he started adding a little bit of everything to his plate in an attempt to try it all before it got cold or he became full.

Cody smiled and nodded, piling more food onto his plate. "I'm glad to be back Edes. Truly I am. I really missed you," he murmured, stuffing food down his throat as fast as he could. God, he was starved and it tasted so good in comparison to the food at the facility. It was nice, yes, but it didn't beat home cooked food by the one you loved.

Swallowing, the spawn hesitated before flashing his blue-green eyes to Edes. How was he going to tell his lover this after finally coming back after so long? "Hey... Edes? Tomorrow, I was... uhm... hoping to go visit my family tomorrow and head over to a therapist. I know I just got back and all, but I need to settle those things first before things get crazy," he paused long enough to take another bite of his food. "I was also hoping that I could... Could move in with you. If that's alright with you." Wow, he was terrible at these speeches. If Edes said no off the bat, he was sure he wouldn't blame him.

Cody instantly saw the hurt in Edes' eyes and well, just about everything about him. It broke his heart to see his lover so upset at his little "announcement" at his plans for the next day or two. "Edes, I'm sorry. It's either settle that stuff first or have Shadai come after me with some of her voodoo magic and REALLY lock me up somewhere," he explained softly, the massive amount of fear felt towards said magic being made very clear in his tone and how he shuddered after merely mentioning it.

As Edes pulled him close, however, the greed spawn wrapped his arms around him and nuzzled into his cheek. Planting a soft kiss there, he sighed softly and nodded. "Of course. I'll be with you every night to kiss you and whisper goodnight in your ear," Cody murmured into his ear, squeezing the boy softly in their embrace before attempting to return to his meal. Already his stomach was beginning to complain softly at being denied substantial sustenance for so long. "I promise Edes, I swear on my life I'll be there and if I'm not... Well, I'm sure I'll have to have a pretty solid excuse as to why." He chuckled softly, pausing to ponder with some amusement at what could possibly keep himself from returning to the boy. Most likely death or a coma, but he wouldn't bother saying that aloud. Not now, anyways.

Cody simply nodded and smiled, a soft blush pinking his cheeks at the kiss. Blue-green eyes watched Edes as he made his way out of the kitchen and up the stairs. As soon as he vanished from view, the spawn tore into his food with reckless abandon. Nothing was spared in his rampage to stuff as much as he physically could into his mouth and then into his stomach. Thus it didn't take long for him to polish off most of the dishes that had been laid out for him.

Cleaning up and placing the dishes carefully into the dishwasher as instructed, putting the remaining food in the fridge, Cody made his way upstairs and to where he figured Edes' room was. "Hey love," he murmured, feeling nearly giddy at being able to be so close to his love was again. No longer were they simply boyfriends, but something a little more. Damn, he'd have to start saving up for a ring as soon as he got a job. So many things to do, so little time.

Cody smiled back, tugging off his shirt as quietly as he could before stepping over to the bed. Without moving the bed or sloth spawn too much, he climbed into the bed and pulled the covers up. How odd that only a year or so ago, the two had fallen asleep in a library as simply friends. Now... Now they were together in a bed, in an apartment he planned on moving into soon now that he had Edes' permission. So much had happened since then, and so much more was to occur. Yawning widely, exhaustion quickly consumed him and plummeted the spawn into a deep sleep.
