Yusaru axean I just relized, the Overlay units are like the Pok'e Mon Card games evolutions and energies. you just keep stacking them under the highest evolution. actually, from what i've heard, Duel Masters is the most popular card game in Japan

That's actually only in the U.S.; they've been popular in Japan.

That's actually only in the U.S.; they've been popular in Japan.
last time I saw any boosters was about two years ago at an anime con!! stare

Well it looks like some of the duel terminal archtypes will be continued with these exceed monsters because there's a vylon monster there. But, I don't see why they couldn't release the dark synchros the way they were if they released the exceed monsters with the exact same appearence

Mr_dragon Well it looks like some of the duel terminal archtypes will be continued with these exceed monsters because there's a vylon monster there. But, I don't see why they couldn't release the dark synchros the way they were if they released the exceed monsters with the exact same appearence Because Dark synchros were completely different. You subtracted the level of the tuner from the non tuner monster, to get what is still considered a synchro monster (still had a level), only emo. The new exceed monsters are a lot different. For synchros, you could have plenty of combinations of levels for tuner and non-tuner to make a monster with a high level (combined level). Exceed monsters need monsters with the exact same level, and have rank instead of levels of their own, making them immune to level cards like gravity bind, level limit area B, etc. They act not as powerful effect monsters with amazing stats, but a way to evolve the game without abusing the graveyard pool AND balancing effect with overlay units.

I will say this though, with their limited use of ability (maximum = 2), I'm thinking they'll soon come out with spells and traps that can reload the materials, as well as monsters that can place themselves beneath exceed monsters already out through effect.
