You'd probably be walking down a trail, minding your own business. . . and then you see a pair of shiny eyes staring back at you. A cold ball of ice falls into your stomach and you try to shake it off as a bird, but it's too big to be a bird. Maybe a cat? It isn't meowing or anything similar. In fact, it's sitting very, very still. Trying not to alarm it, you'd probably try to walk around it, make it move faster, but it watches you. If it moves, will you hear it? If it attacks, will it cry out, or will an eerie shuffle of leaves be its only warning?
