Shimada is quiet and soft spoken, he rarely talks when it is not necessary but possesses great intellect when he does speak. Shimada hate arrogance and distances himself when around these types of people. He can't help but snub the undeserving. However, Shimada can still act like a small boy. He loves to snuggle under blankets that are four times as large as the normal one might be, and sits and sips tea and looks out the window when its raining. He has a tendency to swing his legs when sitting on a bench or chair that is too large for him. Shimada is obsessed with reading the Kojiki and the Nihon Shoki, as he finds myths fun and enthralling. He keeps a copy of either locked away in a small glass compartment in his office.
Bio:
Shimada's real life was one of abuse and abandoment, and as such, he has used his own abilities and the assistance of the twelfth division to erase his memories, though from his inverted personality, it appears something still haunts him, and even his powers can't let him escape the pain. His true life is actually known only to the twelfth division, with this he no longer has the thoughts of his past destroying him. His most recent memories start from his time when he came to Seireitei. These memories however are meaningless and consist of his simple life in Seireitei before being picked up by the court guard squads.

しんれいげんしょう (Shinreigenshou) Psychic Phenomenon
- Zanpakutō Element: Psychic/Physical Protection
Sealed Appearance: Shinreigenshou's sealed appearance is very unique to all other Zanpakutō. His sword materialized into a star shape scar that is present on his forehead. It appears as a very dangerous wound when sealed, and can sometimes scare others that he is around. When summoning into his Bankai or Shikai his allows his palm to graze over the scar which it transforms into a single body of power, then proceeds to either form. The process is the same if he is transforming from Bankai or Shikai when in his normal state. However, Shimada does still posses a modified sword that hangs on his left side. A very ordinary looking Katana, a kodachi, small enough for him to carry around easily. Its coloring is black from tip to tip with small Ryūjin carved on the sheath as asked by Shimada, it bares no significant meaning.

- Released by the command むそう Musou 'Blank Mind' The star shaped scar on his forehead releases as he gently passes his hand over this forehead, transforming his head back to a normal look. The energy released wraps itself around his entire body, creating markings all over his skin that aren't readable to to most everyone, only Shimada, even the most intelligent person in Seireitei has no clue what they are, and no ability thus far has been discovered to be able to unravel their mystery. Each marking changes in appearance over short periods of time, making it look as if his body is moving, the markings also glow every so often then fade, each one out of sync with the next. The significance of these markings are unknown to anyone except Shimada, it would suggest that they in someway absorb mental strength from lower lifeforms around him, such as plants and insects and the earth itself, as all things are living.
Shikai Special Ability: His Shikai abilities are focused around certain psychic techniques, though not possessing traits such as mind control or the distortion of large areas. He is able to redirect or destroy powerful attacks that target his person or inflict massive damage to ones mind and body through psychic waves. His Shikai also has the capabilities of casting protective barriers around him and others.

- せいしんは Seishinha Psychic Wave
Looking similar to a Cero technique of a hollow, Shimada casts his index finger (or any other finger, though the index is most often used) towards a available target and releases a colorful beam of energy. This attack is incredibly hard to block even for strong opponents as it has no physical properties and can directly through solid objects. However, it is not incredibly fast, so when someone is away from Shimada when casting the attack, avoiding the attack takes next to no effort. However, when it does hit an attacker (as the affects of this attack work only on living targets) the life form will feel their body freeze and find it nearly impossible to think/see/speak/move (in any way shape or form, including basic functions such as blinking) The waves of this attack affect the brain to an extent that it temporarily destroys someone's normal functioning pattern, and for a three minuets, they are 'brain-dead' When locked into this attack, the person must posses mental strength that goes beyond even highly skilled users in order to escape the technique, mental strength not having anything to do with intelligence.
あんぜんばりあ Anzenbaria Safety Barrier
A pinkish energy field falls around Shimada. This barrier is capable of blocking most all physical and non-zan attacks, such as Kido. Me-lee attacks are quite useless against the barrier unless the person possesses a physical strength that far surpasses a captain level. This barrier however is not defensively strong against Zan-attacks or special reiatsu based techniques, while it can withstand them for a while, Shimada receives a small amount of damage to a random area of his body. When a Zan attack hits the barrier, Shimada can transform it into an invisible field around him which he then uses to distort the direction of the attacks, however, it is limited to weak attacks, it is able to merely slightly redirect other Captains Shikai abilities, it is able to fully work however on Lt class and below. Shimada is subject to more damage when in this state. The power of this barrier would allow Shimada to overcome many natural elements, from protecting him in deep waters to destroying falling rocks that would aim to crush him, it's most often used against these sorts of things rather than in fights, though fully capable to do so.
サイキック Saikikku Psychic
A greenish outline appears around Shimada's body, it allows for better control of attacks targeted at him. This power in a way act as his sword in Shikai. While the power engulfs his entire body, it centers mostly on either hand, to which he is able to fight against other weapons, such as other swords, without receiving damage, them being far more powerful than his normal sword. His entire body receives slight augmentation for physical damage, however, it is highly susceptible to reiatsu based attacks in this form, though highly resistant to me-lee attacks or power-enhanced attacks, in some cases able to deflect the attack before it can touch his body. Considered his weakest ability in Shikai, though most often used.
せいきたいコネ Seikitai-Kone Astral Connection
This ability allows Shimada to connect up to 60 minds to his own, allowing them to see and witness as he is. The minds in which he can connect do not have to be known to him, though they do have to be within a certain area, though it is quite large, he is able to connect minds within the entire circumference of Seireitei. This ability does not allow the minds to feel as he feels, but only see. He is also able to connect the minds to each other and not his own, which allows for conversation via Telekinesis. While Shimada has non-zan telekinesis communication abilities, they are not as strong as this.

Bankai
- Released by the command てんとうむそう Tentou-Musou 'Invert the Blank Mind' When released, if transforming from his normal state, the star shaped scary lifts from his forehead, it rises into the air horizontally, it slams down on Shimada, making him vanish. Soon after, he arises from the center for the star, his body once again covered in the same markings as when in Shikai, however, they change at such a rapid rate that it is almost impossible to keep track of them, they however do not glow. Aside from this change, he does not undergo any massive alterations different from his Shikai.
Bankai Special Ability: Similar to his Shikai, his abilities in his Bankai are the same, however, the power has increased by a large magnitude.

- ツイン Tsuin Twin
Shimada channels powerful amounts of psychic energy into either of his hands, which forms two powerful blade type objects. These blades are actually unable to be broken like normal swords, and will only fade away if Shimada is injured or too weak to sustain them, however, he is able to use this technique combined with others in his Bankai. While the main purpose of this attack is to have a tangible weapon, if Shimada finds his position compromised by a powerful attacker, he can release either one or both of the swords which sends off a powerful psywave to the appropriate target, confusing them and ultimately completely distorting their senses for a time, though the regain speed is slow depending on the individuals strengths.

While an actual separate ability in his Bankai, he is able to utilize Tsuin with Nami to create a faster and slightly more powerful wave. However, the height of Nami is reduce by 3/4 of of it's original measurement. He can send out Nami from the tips of either sword.
- こくえい Kokuei Dark Shadow
Notably the second most powerful technique in Shimada's Bankai. Dead center on his forehead his skin rips apart, revealing a glass like orb resembling an eye. His neck snaps and hangs loosely at his left side. Either hand dislocates as they bend back to touch his wrist, flat. Upon the disfiguring of his body, a large deep purple yet transparent enclosure appears around Shimada and an vast expanse of area, he is more than capable of covering half of Seireitei. This ability offers near perfect protection, as it is durable even under attacks from someone stronger than himself. It is resistant to absorbing type abilities and a near complete defense against any and all physical attacks. During this ability Shimada is completely vulnerable and cannot execute any other attacks, but due to the immensely powerful nature of this ability, he has little to worry about for some extended period of time. The barrier is not weak to any specific type of power/ability. Because of the amount of power that Shimada must use to sustain the barrier, its life expectancy cannot last for long, and afterwards usually suffers from from extreme energy loss. However, this ability takes different levels of power to operate depending on how large the area is he's covering, so the smaller the area, the less power consumption.
ないてきいんめつ Naiteki-Inmetsu Inner-Destruction
The most powerful technique in either form of his swords release known at this time, and the most destructive to both the surrounding area and Shimada himself. This ability is akin to cero ability though the difference is the power and the formation. Spreading his hands to either side of his body, he allows his head to hang down just for his chin to touch his chest. He levitates into the air slightly, as he does, five Hazurefurasshu 'Shadow Flashes' appear around him in a star shape. The markings on his body leave him and form around each of these purple spheres. They posses both destructive and telekinetic abilities, which means that for the instance they are released, they are able to deflect anything away from them that is of equal power, meaning that another power that is on par with Shimada's Bankai, anything weaker is unable to touch them. If something does come into contact with them however, they will still act on the force and detonate. Upon hitting the intended target, they unleash a devastating power that can wipe out vast areas that span nearly 1/4 of Seireitei. However, upon the release and execution of this attack, Shimada is nearly completely drained of all his strength and reverts back to his normal state. He cannot release any sword state after this attack for nearly two days, and is unconscious for several hours. This is due to the fact that he has not fully mastered the ability yet.

なみ Nami Wave
By the wave of his hand, Shimada can send out powerful and awfully destructive waves of physic energy. Capable of ripping apart buildings or even mountains, the ability is sent out at a moderate speed which means it is not unavoidable and its destructive path is not measured in width by actually in height, reaching approx 60ft in the air. This attack can be sent out in two streams at a time from either hand, and can be sent out in succession from one another, however not rapidly, as it takes a recovery time for power and mental strength to regain the ability to use the technique.

- Master Swordsmanship
While being a meek looking individual, Shimada is amazingly masterful in swordsmanship, being more than capable of executing swift and deadly attacks in the blink of an eye.

Shimada uses Kido often and has been shown to be quite capable of executing complex spells with little problem.

Being of Captain level, Shimada is more than capable of executing speed techniques with little problem. Easily able to keep up with others on par with him.
Hakuda Master
Shimada is an expert in Hakuda and is one of the most skillful users in all of Serieitei. He is able to be on par with others that may be of greater strength than him. Combining his abnormal physical strength and his mastery in Hakuda, Shimada is a very dangerous opponent, and is able to fight against powerful opponents using these two combined skills alone.

- Foresight
Due to his over exposure to psychic powers, Shimada has gained an ability known as foresight, however its true power is awfully limited. He is able to foresee certain events in his own life and/or predict things. He is able to see visions when concentrating enough though not all of them clear. This ability can be used on others, such as palm reading and/or other telepathic techniques, though when used on another it is not nearly as strong nor is it always right. However, Shimada is the only true classified psychic in all of Seireitei or the human world, none can actually match his abilities. The results of his over exposure can be seen in his right eye as it has been severely morphed, the whites in his eyes are black, while his iris and pupil are purple.
Distortion
Using the power that is embeded in his right eye, Shimada is able to see through certain objects, such as ordinary walls/floors/ceilings. This ability however is not able to be used on special spiritually enhanced objects.
