Biography:
Abandoned as a baby, Maia was left to the Town of Guiro in the care of the chief who ran the town. As the years passed, many wars were fought between Guiro and the Holy Empire and each war had left the Town of Guiro in near ruin. The Chief of Guiro thought it was time, when Maia was of the age of 10, that she started to learn to ride a dragon. The Chief had had Maia meet her dragon at the temple of Letariscei and Raiyu, the founders of the Town of Guiro. The dragon, now halfway through it's lifetime, was perched upon the top of the temple as it waited for its new riders' arrival. Once they had met, Maia and the dragon got along well at first hand. Not once had they fought throughout their years together. But as each day had ended, Maia's dragon had flown off to be alone, as it had been for most of it's life. When one day, the Chief of the Town of Guiro was ill and on his death-bed, he had placed Maia in charge of keeping the town safe. After his death, Maia was devastated and sought out her dragon for comfort. She ran to the temple that same night that the Chief had died and cried her heart out. By morning, she had fallen ill herself and her dragon, which she had finally named Kyro, had vowed to never leave her side and care for her as the Chief had done. At the age of 16, Maia began to return to the town and take over as leader and keep it safe from their enemies. Now, as the Holy Empire decides to make havoc amongst the land, Maia and Kyro took a vow to ensure that the Town of Guiro remain in one piece. However, they both have a feeling that something big will happen. A change that will either put a stop to the Holy Empire or completely demolish the Town of Guiro, the place they call home.
