Huarang arrived in Sunhedge alone. His mother Marjarie had left him and his sibling alone. The young bat's sibling disappeared, gone when Huarang woke up from one a sob-induced sleep, following his realization that he was all but alone in the world, save his sibling. At any rate, he was old enough to be able to fly. Young bats learn to fly at only a few weeks old, and Huarang was had quite the time flying from Fangroot to Sunhedge. Truthfully he had no way of knowing where he was in reality, the ex-fangrooter had no concept of any tribe at all, or the punishment his desertion could earn him. Huarang simply wanted to put as much distance between the place of his mother's death as he physically could. Tired from the stop and go journey, Huarang settled down a plateau, closing his eyes for a quick nap.

Tenga had been in a whole mess of trouble lately. He had seen a wildcat enter his territory, been tricked by a stupid ladybug, and lately had been doused with a love potion and had fallen in love with the strangest looking mole he had ever laid eyes on. His heart still yearned a bit for his "Mew-mew". Hopefully this was just a side effect.
Tenga hardly had a moment to relax. His clan was so small but they had such big responsibility. They were the protectors of the Great Tree. Without them, who knows what manner of beast would try to harm the guardian they love. Tenga wished his clan could expand more but was also very suspicous of anyone who wanted to join. Why wouldn't they be satisfied with their own clan? If they weren't in a clan to start out with, why were they ever in that situation?

Huarang awoke from his nap. The sun hung high over head, but seemed closer than ever high in the mountains of Sunhedge. It was a glorious day, but a sadness still loomed over him, and Huarang couldn't help but wonder if it would ever go away. Shaking his head, in order to physically remove the sad thoughts, Huarang took off to fly again. The young bat flew up into the wild blue yonder, he was lonely, and eager to find someone, anyone.

A loud growl resonated through the air. Tenga rubbed his stomach tenderly and checked his cupboard for a quick snack. Empty. It was completely empty. Had he really eaten that much? No... it must have been something else. Maybe someone had ransacked his house while he was away at the play?
Wrapping his shawl around his shoulders, Tenga set out to collect some food. Maybe some berries or seeds or nuts. He wasn't picky. It was only the vegetables that didn't agree with him. Then again, vegetables only seemed to agree with rabbits.
Tenga had learned from keeping watch so often to be very aware of his surroundings. His eyes shifted from left to right, peering far into the depths of the foliage. Suddenly, his ears perked as the sound of faint weeping caught his attention. What could that possibly be? Tenga approached the bushes cautiously and slowly pushed them aside... Nothing. What was that sound? Tenga looked up towards the sky in wonder...

At the same moment that Tenga's eyes would look skyward, simultaneously, Huarang would fall toward the ground from the cumulative exhaustion of the last few days. The young bat lost consciousness. Suddenly his young eyelids grew heavy, and try as he might; they would not remain open a second longer.

Thud!
Tenga stared in bewilderment at the tiny dark figure falling out of the sky. Fortunately for it, it appeared to land in a cushioned patch of clovers. Tenga didn't appreciate strangers in his territory but felt that they may be a pretty good reason for it this time. Traveling to the clovers, he gazed upon a tiny mammal body unconcious in the weeds. The poor thing looked quite weak as if it had experienced things no one its age should and had traveled a very long distance. Although he was not completely... fond of children, Tenga's heart reached towards the creature with worry. Was it injured in the fall? Was it dead?!
Approaching the tiny body, Tenga felt for a pulse. A very unrhythmic pattern rapped at his paw. Good. At least it was still alive. Staring at the young bat for a while, Tenga cocked his head to the side and contemplated his next action. He probably shouldn't leave it in the cold of a forest... What if that Canker Blossom and her ladybug henchman discovered it? No... he couldn't allow that to happen. Lifting the bat in his arms, Tenga was surprised how light it was. Poor thing probably hadn't eaten yet. Come to think of it, neither had he. Oh well, he had to take it to his house first before it got dark and then maybe later he could find some more food.
