Of course it was food that caught his attention. That had been the whole reason he had chomped on Subira's tail in the first place and brought himself into their little group. That energy would go a long way towards helping him with the Players. Not all of them would appreciate it, but Hamu knew several players who would love the cub for his enthusiasm. Subira wouldn't lack for babysitters as long as there wasn't a play to rehearse for.
The teal lion grinned as Subira shook her head, inviting him to share in her exasperation, and he followed her at an easy run as Kayode led the way out of the forest without the cub having any idea where he was actually going.

Parisette smiled when the cub picked someone to protect him. She was glad he had found someone worth his approval and nodded her head, returning her gaze to Kunstig and Moilik, her new friends from the forest. "Lots of drama today," she remarked, sounding pleased. She nudged the girl at her side, encouraging her to start walking again as she walked from the forest, knowing that Kunstig would steer her into the right direction if she wandered too far off of the track.
The young girl who had been clinging to Parisette's side almost desperately, risked a step or two away once they left the outer ring of trees, free from the dark and creepy forest. She began to beam, and Parisette beamed back, pleased to see the girl look happy, rather than afraid.
"Thank you for escorting us out," Parisette said to the sibling pair, her smile warm, but one eye was kept on the young girl who was now staring at everything with those wide eyes. Parisette knew she should take the juvenile to a nurse, and then home to rest. Unconsciously, Parisette scanned the area outside of the forest for her father, as her thoughts of her cubs reminded her of family. Her brother and sister were around somewhere too, she remembered and hoped they were all safe somewhere, whether they were in the forest or not.
