We are moving to Florida (the bf, pets, and I) and now that we'll have our own place and stuff, we're getting into healthier household items. Already we've ordered the cat a better food and now we're looking into Home-made organic soaps and Free trade coffee. We've looked on etsy, but these soaps are really expensive! ($5+ for 1 bar!). Does anyone know of cheaper, better for you soaps? What do you guys think of Dr. Bronners?

I find that burts bees is really good. You still have to read the ingredients, but atleast you know everything it food grade. I use Their rosemary mint shampoo bar and their peppermint body bar.

I bought this amazing smelling soap from Lush. It was $10.

It lasted a week.

I've never bought soap from them again.

I don't typically use soap myself. Maybe on my pits if I'm extra pungently but that's pretty much it. It's a glycerine soap from the organic section of the grocery store. I've had it for six months now and probably get another six months out of it.

Nature Clean has soap now and that's what my other half uses:

Going back to not using soap:

Update: We ended up getting 5 bars of home made goatmilk soap. It had the best list of ingredients we could find and the price was $15 with free shipping on ebay. We also ordered some Dr. Bronner's liquid soap and a bottle of their conditioner. Price was $20 with free shipping as well on their website.

you can try making your own soap, i dont know the level of hardness that is but its possible.

you want to improve your household items...get rid of using kitty litter, worst thing ever, you can potty train your cats!

I love Dr. Bronner's. I personally like the peppermint, it's so tingly and refreshing but my fiance loves the Lavender.

Another good brand to look up is Sappo Hill.
https://www.sappohillorders.com/order.html
It has an option to search for retailers. A local natural food grocer in my area sells them but you can order them online. Shipping I believe is $5.95 and they require a $15 minimum order but it's good to stock up so you don't have to order very often. You can purchase them in packs of 3, or you can purchase them individually. They also sell soaps that are fragrance and color-free. My favorite soap is Oatmeal - although if you have sensitive skin it might be TOO exfoliating. It contains organic oats & smells just like an oatmeal cookie! The bars last quite a long time - they don't just dissolve right up like a lot of natural soaps and I find them to be on the cheaper end! Finding a local natural food grocer is usually your best bet, I know mine has a large range of natural / organic soaps that range from fairly cheap to quite expensive! 3nodding
