Leviathan
Leviathans are characterized by their long bodies, which are best described as crocodile-like. These monsters cannot fly, but instead most of them are well adapted for aquatic habitats, where as some are seen living in sand, lakebed the Tundra, and, incredibly, lava. All leviathans walk on land similarly to lizards and, having lungs, are occasionally seen out of water.

Ludroth
Nicknames: Ludy
Titles: Water Beasts
Size: Small
Status Inflictions: Waterblight
Weakness: Thunder
Habitat: Deserted Island and Forest
Ludroth are highly aggressive and territorial aquatic monsters of the Leviathan family. The females of the species are known simply as Ludroth, while the less common (and much larger) males are known as Royal Ludroth.
Female Ludroth are mostly yellow-green in coloration, with long sinewy bodies that enable swift and sweeping underwater movements to confuse their prey. Their claws are stubby but effective, and their tails taper into a thin, fan-like shape.
Ludroth are known for their aggressive and territorial nature, as mentioned, and females are often known to stake out breeding grounds and form "harems" around a single Royal Ludroth. Ludroth can be troublesome on land, using their snake-like forms to slither and pounce on hunters, and also spitting a corrosive solution that causes Waterblight, making stamina recovery slower. They emit a barking noise when threatened, and although dangerous on land, they are doubly so when confronted underwater. Notably more powerful, swifter, and with attacks that may disorient a hunter caught unaware, a Ludroth in her natural habitat can be a challenge; small crowds of Ludroth are also more often found underwater, and can quickly part even an experienced hunter from their health.

Royal Ludroth
Nicknames: R. Doth, Royal
Titles: None
Size: Medium
Status Inflictions: Waterblight
Weakness: Fire/Thunder
Habitat: Deserted Island and Forest
The Royal Ludroth is a medium sized Leviathan, and the alpha-male of the Ludroth. It has a crown-like crest as well as a large yellow mane; both of which can be broken. Its tail can also be cut off which if collected it can be worth alot. The Royal Ludroth uses a water-bomb charge attack bearing some resemblance to the Gypceros' "Drunken Charge". The creature has been seen wherever Ludroths, smaller females of the same species, have been spotted. The Royal Ludroth shows gender-dimorphism, as the male is much larger and stronger than the female.
The mane around its neck is a spongy material which it uses to store water while on land. Its spongy mane will shrink as it gets tired, causing its ability to use water attacks to be hindered. Usually when this happens, it will retreat back to water to recover stamina. It can also roll in puddles to rehydrate.
The Royal Ludroth subspecies has more vibrant pinks and purples than the main Royal.

Gobul
Nicknames: None
Titles: Abyssal Assassin
Size: Medium
Status Inflictions: Paralysis
Weakness: Fire/Thunder
Habitat: Deserted Island and Forest
Gobul is often relatively passive until attacked. It spends most of its time lying under the river bed, exposing only its whiskers, to disguise itself as a common plant. During this hidden state, hunters can gather from it, but should be cautious, as this is used as a trap to lure prey. It can also be attacked when in this state. Sonic bombs can be used, in the same fashion as Diablos, to bring it out of hiding only when not inflated, doing so will give a small window of opportunity in which to attack the Gobul. While it tends to stay in the water, it does sometimes climb up on land, even if not chasing after prey.

Lagiacrus
Nicknames: Lagi
Titles: Lord of the Seas
Size: Large
Status Inflictions: Paralysis/Waterblight
Weakness: Fire
Habitat: Deserted Island and Forest
Lagiacrus is a blue Leviathan that mostly dwells in the sea/deep bodies of water and comes onto beaches to sunbathe. It has a hood-like crest on its neck to aid in sunbathing. The dermal spikes on its back glow white when it is using strong thunder attacks, and its mouth gurgles with Thunder when it is enraged. Lagiacrus is found only at the Deserted Island and Flooded Forest. It is most at home in the water, but also is more than capable of fighting on land.
When a Lagiacrus is fully sunbathed, it turns a dry grayish-blue color and its dermal spikes turn a pale red. When it returns to the water, Lagiacrus regains a striking deep blue color and its spikes return to their original color of a very light beige.

Uroktor
Nicknames: Uro
Titles: None
Size: Small
Status Inflictions: Burn
Weakness: Water
Habitat: Volcano
Uroktor are the juvenile form of the Leviathan, Agnaktor. Just like their adult form, they have the remarkable ability to tunnel through solid volcanic rock. Uroktor are distinguished by their reddish-purple skin, which protects them from both the sweltering heat and volcanic predators. Uroktor are very similar to the water-dwelling Ludroth, aside from the obvious difference in habitat, and the frequent burrowing. Like their adult form and certain monsters that burrow, they can be unearthed by a Sonic Bomb. They attack in two main ways: they can tunnel underground then pop back up, or they can attack by spitting lava.

Agnaktor
Nicknames: Naktor
Titles: Fire Pyke Wyvern
Size: Large
Status Inflictions: Burn
Weakness: Water
Habitat: Volcano
Agnaktor resides in the Volcanic Region. Its body shape is relatively unique, although there are vague similarities to Lagiacrus. It is noted for its remarkable ability to swim through lava and tunnel through solid volcanic rock. Its fighting style is slightly similar to a Lagiacrus when on land. It can charge at a hunter, swim straight through solid rock in order to smash into them and produce a powerful orange beam, highly reminiscent of the one produced by Gravios. It has a younger form called Uroktor.
While fighting above ground, the lava on Agnaktor's skin will cool off and become hardened rock, causing weapon strikes to bounce. The head and chest alone remain soft enough to strike, though even these parts will harden if enough time has elapsed. Its body will become soft again as soon as any part of it touches lava. This means using a pitfall trap will get its body soft again. The lava armor can be broken off of any part of Agnaktor's body with enough damage, allowing a hunter to attack Agnaktor regardless of whether it has come into contact with lava or not
It seems that it needs to create a spark by clacking its teeth in order to start a flame. This produces a very noticeable warning before the fire beam. This beam also makes the chest and head soft enough to strike again, as if Agnaktor had burrowed into the lava.
The Agnaktor subspecies is the exact opposite of its counterpart; an Ice Agnaktor.

Hapurubokka
Nicknames: Bokka
Titles: The Cavernous Devourer, Latent Mouth Wyvern
Size: Large
Status Inflictions: Waterblight
Weakness: Ice
Habitat: Desert
They are capable of burrowing into the sand and of disguising themselves as sand dunes to ambush hunters. It shows superficial similarities to Gobul, and may be closely related. It can swim in the sand just like Piscine Wyverns. They are seen preying on Rhenoplos, using their powerful jaws to crush their shells.
If Hapurubokka is staggered while it is submerged, it will be trapped similar to the effect of a sonic bomb on Diablos. During this state, you can pull it out of the ground, causing him to flip over like Gobul when it is fished out. After this, Hapurubokka will use a spinning attack on the hunter and break out of the ground. While enraged, the Hapurubokka will huff sand from its nose.
Hapuburokka will devour bombs placed along its movement trail. Once it swallows the said bomb, it will be stunned by the bomb when it explodes inside the monster. While staggered, it can be fished out to give more time to attack. Failure to pull it out from the ground after a certain peroid of time will allow it to spin, striking nearby hunters and doing considerable damage in the process.
