Wars come and go,

I love the army avvie, Giesta! It looks awesome! (I often wish that I was that creative.)

but my soldiers stay eternal.

Thanks for the complement JJ, I do like some army avis though I dont myself think I could be in the army for real because of both my moods and my aversion to the though of having to kill someone even if it was self-defense. sweatdrop

Its okay, JJ creativity is something everyone has it sometimes take a bit of gentle proding to get things going or started. biggrin
Wars come and go,

I didn't make the cut when it came to MEPS. I wanted to become a military man not because of the killing, but because it is a good way to make money hand-over-fist. I would have been third rank starting because of the scores that I made on my ASVAB if I had passed everything in the MEPS. Apparently, it just wasn't what I was supposed to be doing.

I do have creativity when it comes to the kitchen and when it comes to writing, but it just lacks in a lot of other places. I wish that I was more creative in my avatar creating. I tend to throw items together and ask myself if I would be caught dead dressing like that after I get finished throwing the items together. If they look horrid together then I change the items as quickly as possible.

3nodding It can be a very good paying Job being in the Army or Armed Forces and of course all of the benefits and such that comes with the Job.

There a lot of Army people here, or at least they either are Guard Members or a part of Reserves and such, other than what Vets. are still alive here. 3nodding

Yes, if it was meant to be you would be here to have fun and chat with us. 3nodding

See, you are creative in a number of ways though avi creation can be tricky and sometimes frustrating indeed it can be tough to come up with different avis when I do even when I use some itesm a bit more liberally than others though a lot of the reused items are the ones with the least notice attached to them. 3nodding

And your avi right now is pretty good, looks like he is hanging out with a blue buddy enjoying Summer-time. ^8^

I still want to join the military or something of that nature. I mean, my heart is still very much into serving to the point of being willing to lay down my life for the people of my country... not so much for the country itself, but for the protection of its people and for maintaining the peace of its people. (I guess that like most people need something to live for to make them feel like they are living their lives to the fullest, I need something to be able to fight for and possibly die for to live my life to the fullest.)

Oddly, my avatar really doesn't make sense in the least. The little blue friend is afraid of trees according to the description that Gaia put with him which makes things interesting. He isn't really a little blue friend in the least according to what my brain takes it as, but rather he is trying to steal my avatar's pie while standing on his head. (What kind of a monster tries to steal another man's pie? Friends don't steal their friends' pies.)

I understand, it is good to have something to strive for to fight and put your faith in that doing so would benefit or go to the benefit of our country and its people, as far as I know that is the way most if not all who have served in the army..ect. have felt.

A need to take care and fight for our countries freedoms and for the good of the country and its people seems to me to be a good way to have purpose in life.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, see little blue guy hates trees and wants to steal your pies does he?

We must stop this threat to pies everywhere immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Agreed, friends dont steal friends pies.) 3nodding

Some reason little blue guy makes me think of Sttich, from Lilo & Stitch cartoon movie.

Wars come and go,

I have known a fair share of people who served their country for nothing more than they had a desire to get something out of it aside from just the ability to serve their country. They did it for the women, money, or the ability to say that they had put their lives on the line for their country. These people, also, didn't stay in the military for more than one term because they found out that it wasn't as great or easy as they thought that it would be.

I don't really care about the money, the women, or the ability to brag about putting my life on the line for my country. I mean, I do need some sort of money just to pay the bills and to afford to eat, but I could deal without most of the rest of it. I don't need glory to make my life mean something... I was born to serve others.

I couldn't agree more... This pie-fiend needs to be stopped at all costs. Unfortunately, I don't think that it is possible to stop a pie-fiend when the fiend must be known by the person whose head he is on. I wouldn't let some strange creature that I have never met before set up post on my head. There is clearly a trust issue that needs to be addressed to this poor avatar when it comes to the creature that is on his head.

I know Lilo & Stitch quite well... Stitch is one of my favorite experiments from that whole thing. Of course, 626 is not nearly as awesome as 625 is. Who could ask for anything more from an experiment than the ability to make excellent sandwiches?

The soldiers that always impressed me with their loyalty to our country and their feeling of patriotism for the country and not so much for themselves was WW1 & WW2 vets. though I am sure there were some that were in it for money or perhaps women and ect.

But most of the vets I have know of WW2 were very brave and amazing people and well able to do what they needed to to fight for our country and for its freedoms even in the face of incredible odds.

People need money that is a given, but their is it seems a fine line between money for just a person's needs and money being all encompassing & excessive beyond what a person needs though I have heard the army pays well enough.

3nodding We will stage an intervention and capture the pie-fiend and help the avatar out thats what friends are for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^8^

3nodding Yes, excellent sandwiches is a must for many many activities.

Wars come and go,

One of my best friends when I was a young child was this Vietnam War vet who could tell war stories like you would never believe. I believe that things may have really happened the way that he told me that things happened with this one part of the war. He told me about how he and one other man who was his friend that he wished that I could have met were the only two survivors of this one attack against the Americans in one particular part of Vietnam and that the only thing that kept him alive was his training for what he was supposed to do in that position which was pretty much just play dead. I always loved the way that he told it because war stories captivated me when I was a child. (Ohhh... What I would do to be able to hear him tell it one more time, but that is impossible...)

Now, as to our little friend and his pie-fiend... I, personally, think that our little friend should be willing to share his pie seeing as how he has a lot of pies. I, also, think that our pie-fiend should be willing to ask for a piece of pie rather than just stealing the pie without asking. If you have an excess of something then you should be willing to share it with somebody else whether they are your friend or not. I kind of see both of them as being in the wrong, but I still think that they should be able to work through their differences even if it means admitting that they are in the wrong. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done... (and I see how this ties into my life not so subconsciously anymore).

Yes... Sandwiches are a very wonderful thing... especially when they are homemade foot-long turkey submarine sandwiches on whole wheat bread with fresh lettuce, home-grown tomatoes, cucumbers sliced oh so thinly, and some light mayonnaise or light ranch dressing. (My thoughts on this sandwich make my mouth water even though I am not hungry.)

Those war stories, are always amazing to me and how they trained so much that they were able to survive such awful and incredible situations and of course the stories about comrades with them and funny and unusual times.

Yes, he should be willing to share those pies and not so mean he cant give up a bit of the pie for the good of everyone who enjoys said pies, and yes if they can work threw those differences it would definately help out everyone with a equal spliting of pies and servings to everyone. (Its never that easy though.) sweatdrop

Indeed, a good sandwich is always amazing and hunger quenching. 3nodding

I think that my mentor back when I was a young child was the person who helped me to find such a desire to be part of the military. I always saw him as being one of my heroes and I wanted to be a hero just like him. It isn't the fame that I desire, it is the ability to finally feel like I have achieved something that draws me. I already have more than enough good reasons to live... I want to finally have something worth dying for. I can't lay down my life for my country because of medical reasons, so I have to find something else. (And no, I am not nearly as homicidal as I sound like I am; I just find that I feel more alive and free when I am serving a purpose worth dying for.)

Maybe he would be willing to share his pies with those who have none if those who had none would ask for some pie... Then again, maybe he wouldn't be willing to do so. I guess that all that one could do is either ask for some of his pies like a good creature would do or steal the pies like a bad creature would do. While pie is a wonderful thing that one might want to keep for themselves, I am sure that some people would be willing to share their pies with the rest of the world if they have an abundance of them.

A true thing for you to fight for that gives your life meaning and a purpose that you can fight for that means you have something to die for even though you dont intend to die anytime soon. 3nodding

I would hope the creature (Blue guy) would be willing to share pies for the greater good of everyone including all of us Spambox-ians of Gaia, but of course he or it could just as well say no or be unwilling to give us a share of pies, and yes I believe for the most part a person or people would share pies if their was a great number of amount of them. 3nodding
