〖Kōdo's Qυαʀтєʀs

The quarters of the 11th Division captain normally remain untouched except to be cleaned on a daily basis. The building itself is detached from any other standing structure and sits near the edge of a forest in the Seireitei, existing only as a drop-off point for Kōdo's belongings. Since Kōdo prefers to sleep outside on the ground or in a tree, he does not use his room for sleeping. He also does not use his kitchen because he does not know how to cook, instead preferring to eat in the mess hall for the 11th Division. The most action Kōdo's quarters sees is when he randomly pops in to drop something of his off or pick something up. Even this is rare because he has very few possessions aside from clothing.

Kenpachi Kōdo

11th Division Captain

As the rest of the Gotei 13 worked their fingers to the bone rebuilding the Seireitei following the two battles that had taken place there, Kōdo was busy doing other things, namely being in the company of a woman. Since he had done a favor for her and her friends by making a large slab of granite smaller in size so they could move it themselves, she was going to thank him with sexual favors, a payment he was happy to accept. Following his favor, he had led the girl away from her friends and walked the streets with her, chatting her up and getting the occasional grope in, as well as single peek at what he was in for. Eventually, because he had no real sense of direction, he shamelessly allowed her to lead the way and all the while had little idea Shiruba was following him as his Reiryoku sense was just as poor as his sense of direction. By the time they had arrived at his quarters, a quaint little, Japanese-styled house holed up in the forest surrounding most of the 11th Division Grounds, he was more than ready to tear the clothes from her body and do extremely naughty things to her before even making it to his bed. However, she had a few reservations about having sex on a floor, and instead made him wait until she was comfortably sitting on the futon, out of her belt, shoes, and top before he could do anything to her.

And do things he did, many things, and for quite a while to boot. He was raring to continue, but his focus was broken by the sound of someone's voice in his head, a voice he could not put a face too. Not that he cared, of course; well, he cared now, cared enough to want to hit him for interrupting this. Fully distracted, he shook his head at the quizzical girl and sent her on her way, flopping onto his futon on his stomach as she got dressed. He could tell, from experience, that she was sore and had a hard time getting dressed due to this; the idea made him smirk, it just meant he was damn good at doing what he did. Shortly afterward, he heard the sound of Shiruba entering his house and, assuming she had come back, looked over his shoulder to see if she was coming back in. When nothing happened, his confusion of the noise's origin was answered with Shiruba's voice. Kōdo slammed his head against his bed in annoyance. "This kid..." He muttered into the futon, thoroughly annoyed that everyone seemed to want to bother him today. If only to tell him off in person, Kōdo gathered his clothing and donned his uniform, sans the Haori, then strolled out from the back where his room was and into the main area, kicking up the dust of several years of neglect in the process. "Mendōkusai..." Koudo curled his lip upwards and rubbed the side of his neck with the opposite hand, and then looked down at the boy. "It normal for ya to walk into people's houses whenever ya feel like it? The ******** do you want? Make it quick, or just leave."

[Lol, he's such a d**k sometimes.]

Kōdo let his mind wander as Shiruba spoke to him and while thinking about anything other than the present moment, caught very few words of what the boy was saying. It was rude of him, yes, but it was not as though he valued niceties all that much to begin with. Discussion, words, none of that interested him in the slightest; he preferred to do something, not talk about it. There were a few instances in which discussion proved useful, especially for chatting women up to get them in bed, but even then his actions tended to work better. The loose women he chose to consort with out of his lack of desire for commitment seemed to value his body far more than his speaking skills, which was perfectly fine with him. Shiruba, on the other hand, seemed to value talking over doing something; Kōdo was disappointed in the fact that he chose to ask for his help rather than force him into giving it. It was only because he had that girl on his mind that he didn't cut him off during his first sentence, and instead waited until he was done before turning tail and slinking back down the dark hallway that had not been illuminated for quite a while. Kōdo appeared to have just left Shiruba standing there, as if he had annoyed him enough to completely ditch him. This was proven false a moment later when he returned and approached the younger man casually.

In an instant, Kōdo's body shifted, and with blurred movements, he flicked his left foot towards Shiruba, intent on kicking him through the not-so-sturdy wall and into the forest outside. His brutality towards his Lieutenant was meant to teach him a lesson, though arguably the captain did not have a lesson in mind when he did it. Kōdo let his gaze fall on the Shiruba-shaped hole he had created in the wall, and then walked towards it, grabbed onto the paneling and stepped out of the house. He was not concerned with the damage; he'd probably get that pansy-a** 4th Division Lieutenant to fix it for him. It shouldn't be too hard to scare him into fixing it. Grunting, Kōdo squinted when he was blinded by the sun peaking through the trees all around him, and waited before his eyes adjusted before scanning the area for Shiruba. "Discussion and focusing on what went wrong, those things are for weaklings. Wanna be under my command, fine. But take that whiny attitude and drown it in that river over there." He lazily made a motion towards the fast-moving river a couple yards away, then rubbed his chin. "If you want to get stronger, do it! I'm not interested in weaklings; if you don't come at me without the intent to kill, I will kill you." With this, he affixed his stare on the Lieutenant, showing no mercy as he projected an illusion, via his Reiatsu's phantom pain, of himself driving his sword through the Lieutenant's right eye.

[It's not technically an auto-hit, but since it's Captain vs Lieutenant training, I'm treating it as though it actually did hit. He didn't do it very quickly, so it's possible for Shiruba to have blocked the kick with his sword, but the force would still knock him outside. If it still bothers you, tell Taigaa because I don't check back here very often.]

Being far from the type of person to care about what other's thought of him, Shiruba's claims of him being immature rolled off Kōdo's shoulders as he eyed the kid. Kōdo watched him draw his sword, and the mere sight of it made him roll his eyes; it was absurdly long. Granted, his own Nodachi was considered to be over-sized and classified as unfit for combat that was typical for a man of his position, but Kōdo's frame also matched the weapon very well. Shiruba's was longer than his, but he was shorter than Kōdo; he did not match up with his weapon at all. The fit was so bad it was almost laughable, yet Kōdo managed to keep a handle on his statements, mostly because of the ruckus he was sensing across the Seireitei. Even while Shiruba was yelling at him about beating him up or something, Kōdo was doing his best to feel out the Seireitei for strong individuals; the clashes he was feeling in the city were abnormal since not many fights should have been taking place.

However, when he was unable to properly locate anyone that felt particularly strong, Kōdo gave up and returned his attention to Shiruba. "Your weapon is ridiculous; you'll lose because of that alone." Putting on a sterner face than usual, Kōdo took his right arm and pulled it through the sleeve of his Shihakusho, moving it inside to come to rest just above his belt. His dominate arm now tucked away, Kōdo cracked his neck and turned as he started to circle the young man. He only got a few feet before he suddenly vanished from sight kicking up earth at the spot he had been standing. "You can be a great swordsman..." Kōdo appeared little under a foot away from the boy in an instant, appearing to the naked eye as he moved to bury his knee into Shiruba's gut. He had positioned himself so that he was too close to reach by sword, especially not one so big. "But if your sword is that damn big, you won't be able to touch me if I get this close."

Despite not being all that smart, Koudo was, at the very least, highly perceptive when it came to combat as he focused most, if not all of his mind on fighting. Thus, he was able to figure out Shiruba's game just as soon as he had done it, granted it was a "fix" for having such a large sword, but it would only work on slow people and morons. Just as soon as he moved to slash at Koudo's knee, the captain upped his speed slightly and vanished from his current position, kicking up more earth which would do well to blind Shiruba with dust, then navigated himself around the blade to the Lieutenant's open backside. As soon as he was there, he dropped his left fist towards the Lieutenant's head, the force of his punch like a truck and sufficient enough to drop the young lad to the ground in an instant. "Same goes for me!"

Like Shiruba, he did not stop there. He increased the speed of his movements, deducing Shiruba was good at Hakuda. However, if he couldn't react in time, it was pointless. "Instead of wasting your time on magic tricks..." In an instant his foot left the ground, and in the same manner, her moved to knock the wind out of him by attempting the same maneuver of striking him in the gut. Only this time, he was moving faster than he had been the last two times. "Try working on your speed!" When the hit connected, however, he noticed that there was no resistance. Thinking he had knocked the kid out, he stopped his assault and waited for the Lieutenant to fall to the ground after his kick. Koudo used his foot to flip the kid onto his back, noticing then that his eyes were glazed over, staring at the sky while half-lidded. Leaning over, he did what he had been taught to do in the Rukongai, he felt Shiruba's neck for a pulse, and finding none, determined the young one to be dead.

"Feh, weakling died from a punch." Shrugging it off, Koudo slid his foot underneath his body and in a single swift move, flicked his corpse into the river and watched it sink to the bottom, then float back up and be carried down the river. No longer caring, not that he had done much of that to begin with, Koudo turned to his house and stepped back inside through the same hole. Once in, he took a quick look around, then raided the pantry for a bottle of liquor, which he tucked inside his robe. A moment later, he returned from his room, carrying his haori slung over his shoulder, and then left his house in search of something better to do. Even his Lieutenant dying from a single punch was not enough to amuse him. Maybe that girl was close by, she couldn't have gotten that far.
