~[THE BONE CLAN ~ OF LIFE AND DEATH]~
THE PACK OF WY'ZIOT AND HIS DEATH-TROOP

[[quest image]]

A dark shape passed over your eyes, quailing before the deep, black forest that you have heard belongs to the kind of creature only legends speak of. It is home to a beast of immeasurable power, for the beast within believes it has no end; no beginning. It is a creature that believes, should its life's breath be stolen from its lungs, it would be reincarnated in the exact form it holds now, and be allowed to return to the place it died to seek yet more revenge.

No end. No beginning. Just the here and now, and the blood coursing through those sweet veins.

You take a step, and the twig beneath your paw cracks, the echo ringing out through the trees, making them stir with a thousand eyes and moans. A whisper of a snarl is heard from within, and as you squint to make out the forms moving beyond your vision, you are startled by breath at the back of your neck. You turn.

Nothing.

You spin around and decide perhaps this is not for you after all, fear making you reek and bringing yet more hackling laughs and sighs from the trunks of those immense, black hearted trees. You twist one last time and halt, fear striking you powerless to move.

Before you, he stands. His lifeless black eyes, cowled by the bloodstained mask of bear-skull, measure you, and deem you possible meat. His teeth are pulled into a snarling grin, their strange pink tinged gleam telling of the masses of blood that has poured forth into that cavernous, deadly mouth. From the deep chest, you hear the stirrings of a manical laughter, and you cower from him, for you know, deep in your heart, here stands a beast that even the Balkar would find difficult to defeat. You know that this beast sees no difference between friend and foe, that he will devour the meat of either, with no recollection of his actions in the future, other then having eaten a good meal.

No end. No beginning.

You bow your head in acknowledgement to his power, but it is a grave mistake. You are thrown from your feet, teeth powering through your skin and muscle, striking bone in your neck. You lay, paralyzed with fear, knowing one false move and the Fierce of this Pack would paralyze you forever; feast on you whilst still alive.

"Brave. You show me your neck, so I take it. Death to you."

You cry out 'NO', as the Fierce tightens his grip, and scream your want to join the Pack. You state it is the only Pack that you dream of, that you want to be part of. You note that this evil being is listening intently, lifeless black eyes staring into your very soul. You hush, as he steps up, tail flickering with a promise of blood.

"Join my band? Why... What an idea! You may join, but you must bring me the head of a varg that causes you great grievence. Bring me his head, and I will grant you passage into my number..."

You ask how he will know and he turns to look at you, and you feel his power searching your very soul till he finds that face in your memory and rips it from you, devouring it into his own mind and grinning that putrid pink tinged grin once more.

"I know all about you, varg. Return to me with his head, and you will have your desire!"

~[LAWS AND RULES FOR BEING A BONE CLAN MEMBER]~

IN CHARACTER LAWS

You will obey the word of your God, Wy'Ziot. He is all that you live for.

Varg in Bone Clan ARE allowed to mate.
There are, however, regulations to Pack Breeding which must be understood (see below).

All Bone Clan members should hide their identity, thus incurring the Ritual of the Kill.
To succeed and be fully accepted, all potential members MUST bring back the head of a varg they despise, as 'seen' by their Dragga, clean the skull and leave it to bleach in the sun, before placing the top half of said skull over their face.

A Bone Clan member must NEVER reveal their name to anyone.
Their name is no longer meaningful. Only Wy'Ziot is named, for he is their God, and they must worship him, for he has granted them their life.

It is the job of the Bone Clan to kill any varg that are not of the Bone Clan.
Those that wish to join must find their own way into the center of the Black Circle, and are, until skulled, fair game. All varg outside our fold are potential sustenance for us and the Black Wolf. If potential members are unable to gain conference with our God, Wy'Ziot, they are to be our meal.

All Death-Troop members are identified by the four puncture wounds around their neck down to the bone, given to them by their God when they first arrived. They should be honoured by the pain that fills them.
This marking and also the skull upon their head mark Bone Clan members as varg that are not to be touched by our allies. Without these markings, you will be seen as fair game to their discrimination and usual treatment of others, including death.

The God's Word is final.
Should he decide something, there is no ignoring it. It must be followed to the utmost, and if lives are put at risk, you should be honoured it is for your God.

Lives are dispensable.
Do not value your life above anyone else's. It is set down that a Bone Clan member will be reincarnated in the exact state they are now after death, to seek revenge on those that ended his life.

Wy'Ziot alone has the power to change these laws as he pleases, and in accordance to the actions of others.
To break these rules is to be banished to the inner circle of Death; torn to shreds and left hanging in the trees where the branches will take you into themselves and trap the soul of the Bone Clan member forever in its black trunk, never to be reincarnated.

~~~~~~~~~~
OUT OF CHARACTER LAWS
YOU MUST RP!
If you are to join Bone Clan, you need to RP in order to remain as a member. Unlike the shop guidelines, you must make one post EVERY month! Just one, just to inform me you are still interested in being a member. I'm tired of giving out membership to people who then just disappear with either a free custom or free edit! The first time you do not post, if your character is a Ranked member, you will be demoted to a General Member or Sikla. If this does not spur action, and you go another month without posting, your character will be ousted from the Pack, never to have existed, and will just be an ordinary character to you.
RP as often as you can.
Just because Wy'Ziot may not be around much does not mean you can't go on to find things that will please him.
If your varg is of kind and pure heart, or does not believe in the causes of this Pack, do not try and become a member.
It will annoy me and anyone else here that is wanting to RP to have some do-gooder running around disagreeing with everything.
I cannot guarantee the safety of your varg.
If you want to be a part of this pack, you must understand that your Aershaa could very well die due to the situations that will arise in being such an aggressive Pack. Obviously, the other will need your permission, just as you will to kill off a certed character of another's, but there are some situations that you will be unable to escape, and you must accept that.
The Ranks here are set out in a way that makes it easy for me to keep track of who is new and who has been here for a fair while.
Every varg who joins starts as a Sikla. They have to fight their way through the ranks, and to become one of the Betas, you have to prove your worth to Wy'Ziot in a number of tasks.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE PM THEM TO ME, MALHYANTH, AND I WILL RESPOND TO THEM AND PLACE THEM HERE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
FAQ
Q : Can my varg challenge Wy'Ziot to the Dragga spot?
A : No. Is your varg a God-incarnate? No, no he's not, and nor is he likely to believe that he is one, so Wy'Ziot is unchallengable and undefeated.
Q : Can I be a part of this Pack?
A : Of course ^^ Just fill out the form to the best of your ability in the 'Members' section, and I will instruct you as to whether you are permitted to join or not.
Q : What do you mean 'or not'? Isn't this an open Pack?
A : Yes and no. I'm a stickler for pretty intense RPs, long posts and interesting and spell-binding stories, and I like to have people who can RP well within my evil little pack here, especially where Wy'Ziot is concerned. He is a character that, to me, deserves great characters and prowess surrounding him, so only the most creative, well written characters will be permitted with owners who can exhibit some initiative and uniqueness, as well as be willing to give up a lot of personal plotting. Characters in Bone Clan need to be blank slates that are devoted to Bone Clan, or there really isn't any point in joining. Sometimes, Bone Clan can provide a bit of a boost to RP plots, where a character seems to have come to their end. There are always going to be cannibalistic varg round here! There will be unending opportunities to terrorise the more peaceful, and even the warmongering. Bone Clan has no fear.
Q : I want to join, but don't know if I'm good enough...
A : Don't worry, fill out the form anyway and give it a shot, I am NOT a monster myself! If you have the ability, or a skill that just needs a bit of developing, I have the place for you, but you must try hard to get those word counts up, and the expressiveness of your writing to its max! I'm willing to allow people in who are willing to put in their all and get better at RPing and reach the level of their fellow experienced RPers, who are all willing to help you!
Q : I have (suchandsuch) an idea and he is going to mate with (soandso) and their offspring and going to do (thisandthat)!!
A : Lovely, what a great little plot, go ahead and do it, but you won't be getting into this Pack. A) Wy'Ziot and his Breeding Masters decide who breeds and who doesn't, B) Wy'Ziot is the only one with the 'plan' here and C) Wy'Ziot will decide if the offspring stay or die in the end, so don't get too excited. Wy'Ziot is word, and you have very little in the way of 'planning', unless it is approved by me if it is in conjunction with this Pack.
Q: How do I get the skull mask and scars that the Bone Clan have given my varg?
A: The Skull Masks and Pack Scars are edits to your character that can be claimed in the Colourist Workshop! You can just have hints of the scars through the mane, or, alternatively, you can have the mane 'Shredded', which some members of the Pack do. This simply means the mane is pulled out apart from along the top of the neck, giving the idea of a 'mohawk' type look, to reveal the full extent of the scars. To get the Skull Mask of the Bone Clan, you will need to describe how it looks to your chosen colourist? Are there deep gouges in the bone, or has your varg used blood to 'paint' designs on, or used their teeth and claws to make deep tribal rivets in it? These edits will then be added to your character, and dropped by the lovely staff here at The Sight!
Q : You're mean! Why are you so mean?
A : This is my baby and my idea, so get out if you don't like it. I don't have time for people that think because they've been RPing for decades that makes them 'literate and experienced', when what they actually provide may be a few lines and some dialogue. To me, being experienced and literate means a few paragraphs, usually a minimum of two paragraphs that cover AT LEAST 3-4 lines of text each, each post, preferably more. Now, I'm not so deluded to think that this can happen ALL of the time, but it can happen the majority of the time! If your RP is getting to the point where barely anything is being posted, you need to recognise you're coming to the end of that RP; its not going anywhere any more! Its not that I'm being horrible on purpose. My purpose is to try and create a little league of RPers that can feel accomplished after every post! That sense of satisfaction many strive for, but are never given the capability of fulfilling with short posts that reward you with a sense of disappointment. Not the aims of this Pack, and its literate status.
Q: This Pack is elitist. I don't think it should be! The Sight is supposed to be for everyone, isn't it?
Yes, it is, and you can feel that way if you want to, but I can assure you, I am not an elitist. I will work to my hardest for EVERY RP I EVER DO to give my opposite RPer enough substance to make fantastic posts that I can likewise replicate. When my efforts are thrown to the floor and trampled because they don't fancy posting a long post for whatever reason, then I feel despondent and I don't want to RP with you. Is that not fair? Bone Clan is my escape from the mundane that can sometimes arise from too many characters and not enough time to really get to know that character properly. It is not that I am elitist. Sure, I have a lot of my close online friends as members, but you have to think - why are they such close friends to me? Could it be that I have come to love their style and prowess with words? Take a look at RPs between myself and some of the people you always see me with. What do they have in common? That is what I want to achieve with EVERYONE that comes to Bone Clan; a band of people that whatever state real life may be in for me, I can come to them and feel like I am well liked, my characters adored, and my RP skills valued through the responses I get! If that is what people consider elitist, then so be it. I'm an elitist!
Q: So my varg can mate within Bone Clan?
A : YES! However, there are some very strict regulations set down regarding breeding in Bone Clan. These must be adhered to, else you run the risk of losing your character for defying the God. They may seem harsh, not really having the final decisions, but I don't want Bone Clan to have too many members that we start to lose our identity and point of being. If we have a high turn-over of pups, but a low level of deaths, then we're going to go over the reasonable number of members, and we're going to need to have people leave! Not fair in the long run if we just let members run free with their plans. If we say no, then its probably because of this reason over any other - sure, we'll make up some IC story; they're not strong enough as Bone Clan members, the Shaman speaks with the Rocks, and sees weak pups, something like that, but in actuality, its just a case that we can't sustain further members currently and you will be allowed your turn at a later stage.
Q : Why has my varg been demoted from (insert rank here)?
A : This is probably due to a number of things.
a) You have not posted. Though it is not necessarily an RP required position, if you are never heard of again after getting your Bone Clan member into such a good rank, then you are going to upset me, and I am going to demote you for not using your character appropriately, unless there are VERY good reasons for your disappearance, in which case, I'm not a monster, and will fully understand. There are probably many others raring for such a position, however, and you're creating a dead-space. If you are going to be gone for a long time, then it is better you be demoted, then leave a space that is needed filled with an unused character currently.
b) I do not feel that you are fully understanding the position, and thus, I have demoted you until you can show me that you do in fact understand what is required of such a position.
c) Your character simply does not suit the position, either through their in-character personalities and actions, or perhaps because I feel they are better suited to another.
d) You have acted above your station, and I feel that you have taken advantage of my generous nature OUT of character. This is especially true if you are setting up RPs with potential members that have not yet been assessed by myself. This is VERY much a 2 strikes and your out scenario. If you continue to take liberties with the rules, say to others they can join through a meeting with YOUR character, or generally have your character act as something they are not, I'm going to need to take this into my own hands and demote you, so you can understand that you are acting VERY untrustworthy as a member. If after your first warning, you continue to tweak the rules, draw in people without their knowing they need to send in an App and RP personally one-on-one with me, then I will remove you from Bone Clan. Its that simple.
~[JOINING THE PACK]~
So you like the sound of the cruelty that happens within these lands? Fine. You may apply, but that is not to say you will be accepted, and you should hope for your own sake you are swift of foot, for if you are not accepted, you will be torn piece from piece to feed the Pack.
To apply, please post the following application here in this thread. Once posted, await for your 'Introductory RP' to start if you are accepted. It will be posted to you in either the main thread, or through PMs.
VARG INFO
Name :
Age :
Despised Varg :
(The name and description of the Varg you deeply hate, with the reason behind this hate. It can be a real, owned Varg, or an NPC. Make sure you specify which it is, for if it is an owned Varg, you will have to get permission from the other owner to kill off that character so you can return with their head.)
Why do you want to join this Pack?
(Make this as detailed as you can. Talk about past experiences, possible banishment. Say how you came across the Bone Clan, whether it is from coming into contact with a Scout, or perhaps one of the massacred Packs they leave in their wake. Maybe you've heard of the great Wy'Ziot and wish to meet the Death Incarnate? What ever the reason, write it here. You can write it as an RP response, or as a Journal response, done from the point of view of the Varg. Just make sure you know that here, all RP is done in 3rd person prose, so you must be skilled. Also, this should also draw on the way you wish your Aershaa to meet with the Bone Clan in character. A well planned meeting may become reality if we like it.)
RP Prompts
(You MUST answer both prompts. One is just to assess your skill, the other is in association with your first encounter with Wy'Ziot and the Bone Clan, and whether you have the skill and stomach to cope with this Pack.)
[01]
You are a young Varg, just entering adulthood, and revelling in the joy of strength and speed it gives you, the power you have, exciting! However, something happens that breaks your world. You return to your Pack to find nothing but blood. Blood, death and prints in the mud made by the attackers leading into the Mountains.
What do you feel? Do you have any idea who could have done this, or are you too stunned to do anything about it? Do you dare follow those masses of prints to find your family's killers, or do you turn and run the other way, fear panicking your very soul? Write about the experience - remember, this is not actuality, but mere skill assessment.
[02]
He stands before you, nothing but a ghost of a Varg, disguised as he is by his bear skeleton. He no longer seems of varg-kind, no love in those lifeless eyes. This is the great Wy'Ziot, and he is looking at you with the kind of face that says you are not worthy. His Fierce are advancing on you, the powerful Guardians of these black lands that are prone to taking strays away and torturing them for many days before allowing them to slip into their Breathless Sleep.
How do you get Wy'Ziot to change his mind? Can you get him to turn his decision around, or are you subjected to the evil of his Bone Clan? Can you escape with your life, or do you manage to convince him to give you a chance, that you can take the life of another and enjoy it? Can you show him you are Bone Clan stuff? Write about the feelings your Varg has before Wy'Ziot, keeping power playing of Wy'Ziot to a bare minimum. Write about whether your Varg is attacked by the Fierce, or manages to get his fate changed. Again, remember that this is mere skill assessment, and what you write here may not become actuality in character, if you do not wish it. Extra points given for originality!
~[THE TERRITORY OF THE BONE CLAN]~
In a deep part of a forest the Bone Clan call the Blackskull Forest, within the ruins of what was once a bustling castle, on the shores of a vast lake, there is an area of black trunked trees, scarred to the core from years of life and the torment of years as home to the Bone Clan. They seem to have an energy all their own, holding on to the evil the world has fed them for many many years. Their black trunks are the epitome of evil stored, harnessed and used, and from these trees, Wy'Ziot arose.
He draws inspiration from these trees, and uses their darkness to shroud his being, using the the ruins within of a one time vast human population as a base of operations for his evil band, his Bone Clan. They house themselves here, denning amongst the tree roots, fallen walls and crumbling buildings, hunting the boarders, and further, for the lives of Varg and prey alike.
Their small, black forest in their home, but they travel throughout the world, hunting what is available and bringing it back for their Dragga, as well as scouting out the happenings of other packs in the area.
He is their God, and he is their salvation. They killed to be a part of his Pack, and they will never be accepted anywhere else...
~[THE CUSTOMS AND BELIEFS OF THE BONE CLAN]~
[[Image of Black Wolf Spirit]]
THE BLACK WOLF
His paws strike the earth with the sound of echoing waterdrops. His eyes glow with the last light you'll ever see.
He is the Black Wolf, and He comes for us all...
The Black Wolf; He is the deity Lord that the Bone Clan worship. In many ways, his is the Grim Reaper, Death given a form within the varg way of life. He is brother of Time, and Guide of Souls. Only, the Black Wolf is more real then the Bone Clan realise in their killing to His name.
The Black Wolf was once a Varg, born and alive on the world many thousands of years before. He is an old soul, but he is forever trapped on the plane of the Spirits, a grey world that He cannot escape. For centuries He wandered this grey prison, the prison He was put into by Fenrir, seeing his hate filled soul that would surpass all checks He had in place to remove worldly knowledge of previous lives. The Black Wolf, in his wanderings, came across a being on the other side that was perfect. A creature so coated in blood that He could see the colour through the grey barrier between worlds. In his weakened state, it was difficult to take the step required to enter onto the living plane, and he followed this being, waiting for the time when he could make his move.
The beings mind spoke of a Black Wolf of Death. The spirit formed His image into something the being would accept as this Deity he mumbled of on his wanderings. It did not take long for the blood soaked creature to find his prey. First a floundering Water, and then a pack of Airs. Within their midst, a beautiful creature of glowing markings and ornate, magically glowing wings. The follower of Death wanted her, and the Black Wolf's spirit also wanted her. She was radiant. The Follower killed. He, alone, killed them all, till only she was left, his glowing beauty. He offered her a place by his side. She rejected. He told her she had no choice. She rejected.
He took her beauty. He shredded her mind with his evil.
The Black Wolf slipped inside the damaged being, her will no longer strong enough to protect her soul. He wrapped himself around it, and started to feed. With every varg she killed in the name of the Black Wolf, He fed on their souls, some He helped to the stream of life, to seek Him in their next life, to seek the skulled beings. Some returned, some didn't. It was all a matter of time. He fed on those souls that were weak, becoming strong. He grew in power, and it began to become cramped, trapped within the core of the female of beauty, now so scarred she was beyond recognition from her former glory.
The time was coming close.
He had to be freed.
The varg pack that followed him was growing stronger, and they sent up their howls in His name. They killed to appease Him, to call on His aid when they too entered the Grey World. He would help them, when they came to His realm, and they saw Him to be true, and would seek him in their subsequent lives, remembering the yellow eyes, the death and the joy of the hunt. Once touched by the Black Wolf, it was hard to be free of Him; as hard as it was to be free of his disciple, the Death God's incarnated form.
Wy'Ziot was his name, and the Black Wolf seeks to one day find himself within that mind.
THE BLACK CIRCLE
A natural formation of trees, tightly packed, with only one entrance into its center. This is the Black Circle, tall, indomitable trees that are gnarled and twisted with the hate and pain that fills the world. Their black trunks are so, because they feed on the sorrow and the despair, or so the varg of Bone Clan believe.
This circle is a ritualistic place. It holds the bodies, in the highest branches the varg can reach, of traitorous individuals. Those that revealed their face to outsiders, told the secrets of this pack of nightmares, questioned the powers of their God and their Lord. When they are found, they are torn limb from limb, and to stop the soul from seeking the Black Wolf, or traversing to the other side, they are strung in their entirety from the branches of the Black Circle, their souls engorging the black twisted cores of those merciless trees.
It is not known fully whether the souls really are trapped by the trees, but the Bone Clan believe it to be the truth, and it keeps them in check. The threat of Death, and then not being aided by the Black Wolf to find their next life is a most disastrous consequence of life in servitude.
THE FACELESS; THE NAMELESS
So why the faceless killer, the nameless killer?
Wy'Ziot is the only named creature. He sees life in terms of Death and sweet relief. The Black Wolf came to him, and coated his paws in the immovable blood, stained his skull with the souls of the damned.
He preached redemption, and in so becoming as nameless as the meek pup, as faceless as the dead, and as strong as the claw that deals the death blow, the varg in his servitude praise their Lord, the Black Wolf. He sees them, in all they do, He knows their name, and will release it to them when they enter His domain. He will save them from the Grey World He was so trapped by the fake God, Fenrir, and take them to their next life, so that they may see His message and mission as truth, and seek out their God, the great Wy'Ziot, and see that his mission to rid the world of the believers of non-existent 'Gods' will save more then just themselves from the Black Circle and the Grey World.
Those that are released to the Black Wolf's grip will see that they were wrong in their lives to believe in 'fake Gods'. They do not exist. Only the the Black Wolf, Death's Messenger. Those He deems unworthy of the next life, he devours, gaining their strength.
Only those with the skull faces, with the nameless minds, are safe with Him. They serve Him, and He releases them from the prison of the Grey World. This is why the Bone Clan are the nameless and the faceless.
~[THE BREEDING RITES~]
So you are interested in breeding your Bone Clan member? Well, there are some very important matters that need to be addressed before you can continue. Some of these things HAVE to be done and thus, the thread shown to PROVE it to Malhyanth in order for he and the owner of the Drappa in charge of giving you the Breeding Rite to accept your request MUST be completed long before you wish to breed.
[[Image Here]]
In order to be permitted to breed your Bone Clan member, you need to make sure you adhere to the following regulations.
  • Your character will not mate for love.
    Death Troop do not love any but their God and their Lord, Wy'Ziot and the Black Wolf. To mate is to SOLELY increase the numbers of Bone Clan members.
  • Mating CAN occur within the Pack.
    If your character has taken a liking to one of the other members of the Pack, feel free to approach them and request a possible mating.
  • Mating CAN occur outside of the Pack.
    If your character has come across another outside of the Pack that they feel could create strong offspring with them, then feel free to beat the other into submission and force a mating!
  • ALL BONE CLAN MEMBERS MUST GET THE BREEDING RITE FROM THE DRAPPA.
    Torn Bane is the Drappa in charge of regulating numbers, and it is her right to deny a Bone Clan member their rite to breed if she feels that they are incapable of creating a strong brood. She will review each case, and then decide on the best course of action. This should be carried out as an RP in the main Guild. You will then be permitted to attempt a breeding.
  • NONE SHALL REQUEST BREEDING FROM WY'ZIOT!!!
    It is not your place to request a breeding from the God, and thus, you should never deem yourself eligible to breed with him. HOWEVER, should he approach you, then you are being chosen, and are unable to refuse his advance. His current mate and Drappa of the Clan is Torn Bane.
  • The majority of the pups MUST become Bone Clan.
    This is especially relevant if breeding outside of the Pack. If you chose to breed with a member of a different Pack, then you must make it clear that the other Pack will only be allowed to take a minimum of TWO pups to their pack; only one if there are only three pups born. If one pup is born, then the Bone Clan member will be entitled to it. In terms of OOC, MAKE SURE THE OTHER PERSON UNDERSTANDS THIS BEFORE GOING AHEAD WITH A BREEDING. They are entitled to a pup themselves, and that pup can either be in or out of Bone Clan, HOWEVER, the MAJORITY of the pups born MUST come into Bone Clan. If this is not acceptable with the other party, the breeding will not happen; you will NOT be granted your Breeding Rite.
  • Pups should not be seen until their adolescent years, as they will reveal their faces to the Pack should they be seen before this point.
    It is against Wy'Ziot's rule to reveal your face to the other members of the Pack. In their adolescent years, a Bone Clan pup must go out and hunt down an varg to wear his skull, alone. After this point, with their first kill crowned proudly on their heads, will the pups be true Bone Clan members and considered an adult.
If there are any questions regarding Bone Clan Breeding Regulations, feel free to PM Mal to clarify anything.
~[THE MEMBERS OF THE BONE CLAN ~ THE RUTHLESS AND THE COLD]~
Current Member Count : ---
Having entered the Pack of the Bone Clan, each varg starts right at the bottom and must prove their worth to work their way up.
When first entering the Pack, the varg is known as an Assessment, as the Dragga must see them prove their worth before the varg is allowed to join. The Pack then progresses as any other wolf pack, with Sikla, Member, Gamma, Beta and then Drappa, Dragga and Elder, though some of these areas are split into more then one area. Each of these is outlined below, with the name and image of the varg at each particular stage.
DRAGGA AND GOD
[[Quest Image : Wy'Ziot - Malhyanth]]
The only DRAGGA of this pack, and the only one there ever will be. The Dragga has the final say in all decisions, and it is his duty to do what is best for the Pack and the aims of their being. This means he will make decisions based on all circumstances, from the strength of the Pack's numbers, the 'enemy' in the circumstance and whether there are enough members to be expended should it come to that. He decides what goes on at any given time in the Pack; hunting, exploring, meetings, etc. He is the 'God' of these varg, and his word is Golden.
DRAPPA
[[Quest Image : Torn Bane - Aurrie]]
Reader Of The Stones
The DRAPPA of the Pack can vary in stature quite a lot, and her roles within the Pack can easily be measured by the freedom they are entitled to regarding their tasks. Generally, she ensures when any varg is wounded, they recover properly; she also watches over the older or ill wolves of the Pack, looking for signs of disease or dementia that would signal their Life's Breath should be struck from their bodies. The Drappa serves as a 'doctor', almost, and tries to keep the Pack strong. Other times, they are also seen as secondary 'Seers' for the pack, conversing with the Black Spirit through their chosen element.
At current, Torn Bane is mate and Drappa to Wy'Ziot, one that specialises in speaking to the Black Wolf through her chosen element of the Stones. She is also the Breeding Rite Master, and all vargs wishing to breed need her consent before doing so.
BETA
[[Quest Image : Hellebore - evilpirateduck]]
[[(Quest) Image : FREE POSITION]]
The BETAS in the Pack play a very similar role to the Betas of other packs - packs that don't have a God for a leader, at any rate. Betas are usually looked upon as 'second in command', taking over while the Dragga is not present, though in this pack, they also find themselves on less of a par then the Drappa. They are trusted to make some practical decisions, like when to send out emergency raids or hunting parties, and receive a lesser amount of respect then the Dragga, as they are only 'vargs', not 'Gods'. They also receive less respect then the Drappa, as Wy'ziot sees his Drappa as highly important in communicating with the Black Wolf, being a superstitious male. They answer to no one but their Dragga, however, but when they need to answer to him, it is often times not a good situation to be in.
GAMMAS
Split into three sectors, with varying jobs; GUARDIANS, HUNTERS and SCOUTS. These are the varg that have specific duties that the Dragga deems they excel at and are thus placed in charge of.
HUNTERS
SCOUTS
[[(Quest) Image : FREE POSITION]]
[[(Quest) Image : FREE POSITION]]
The GUARDIANS job is to watch over the Pack's home dens, and the vargs in it. They are usually the bigger, stronger, and more loyal vargs to the Dragga, but not quite so as the Beta. HUNTERS are very similar to the Guardians being the larger and stronger varg. These varg have been given the job of hunting for prey and non-Bone Clan to feed the Pack. Usually they bring along other Pack members acting as mentors, teaching and helping them to hunt. This is one of the most valuable positions, and grants them a high amount of respect from all members, and are greatly favoured by the Dragga when their job in hunting non-Pack members is successful. SCOUTS are rarely in the main body of the Pack, reporting any important changes to the Dragga. These include if a new Pack is formed and how closely to the denning site, and how strong their numbers are, or even if it is believed they could be converted. This also includes varg that may have been banished; Scouts are to find out if the Banished could be recruited. They must also keep the Dragga informed of possible threats.
PACK MEMBERS
[[(Quest) Image : FREE POSITION]]
PACK MEMBERS are varg that are relatively new to the Pack, but are fully accepted to the number and simply make up the bulk of the Pack, having no particular job but to help on hunts, listen to the Dragga and do his bidding as he sees fit. They may be upgraded to Gamma positions if they show promise. This is also generally the position of ALL females. They are rare within the Bone Clan, and are revered as potential Life Blood to the Pack, bringing forth pups that are considered 'Pure Followers'. Only if they are truly skilled at their job do they move on to any Gamma status.
SIKLA
[[(Quest) Image : FREE POSITION]]
[[(Quest) Image : FREE POSITION]]
SIKLAS are varg that have gone through the Ritual of the Kill and succeeded. They are in the process of learning the Ways of the Pack and cleaning their Skull. They are mistreated greatly, breaking down their spirit until they are fully accepting of the Dragga's Word, never questioning it. At this stage they are taught to forget their name, their past, their future. They are broken down to the 'bare bones' of their self, the varg that is malleable and compliant. They are given their 'identity marks' and left to fend for themselves mostly. However, some Siklas are members of the pack that have disobeyed the Dragga and been demoted, till they can learn their place.
OFFSPRING
[[(Quest) Image : FREE POSITION]]
[[(Quest) Image : FREE POSITION]]
The OFFSPRING of the Pack are those born into it, those that have not decided to be a part of it, nor were they stolen into it. They are 'Pure Follower' members. At this stage, they are not true members, their identities are not hidden, and they are unlikely to have found their place. At adolescent stage, they go out and make their first kill, and return with the skull upon their head, not to the Crèche, but to the main Pack area.
ASSESSMENTS
[[(Quest) Image : FREE POSITION]]
[[(Quest) Image : FREE POSITION]]
[[(Quest) Image : FREE POSITION]]
ASSESSMENTS are varg that have just arrived with the Pack, but have not completed the Ritual of the Kill. They are varg that are still not Bone Clan, and still open for the kill. They must hurry to secure their place, and if the Dragga deems them unsuitable, will not be permitted to live. To learn more on how to become an Assessment, see above in 'Joining The Pack'.
DECEASED/TRAITORS
-----
The DECEASED and TRAITOROUS are both in the same place; walking with the Black Wolf to their new bodies, unless hung from the black boughs of the Circle. There is only one reason a varg of Bone Clan may be in this spot, and that is through treachery or stupidity. Generally those recently initiated seem to be the most commonly deceased. Pity... it stops the numbers increasing as they should.
