so i've been thinking about the seme/uke/seke thing & i'm quite confused. i wanted to know whether it's a structure of a relationship (which it could be) or just a role-play thing?

Those words are in Japanese.

uke- the submissive one and the one that is on the bottom most of the time or all of the time.

seke- Both submissive and dominant. They like being both on the bottom and on the top and often give good surprises to their lovers.

seme- The dominant one who is on the top most or all of the time.

These terms are for real life and is real in all gay relationships.
