Role Playing Terms

Like pretty much anything else, Roleplaying has it's own vocabulary. To make sure that you understand what we are talking about, here is a short list of terms and abbreviation you will encounter. It would do you good to learn them all...

In-Character: Abbreviated as IC, this is when someone writes from a certain character point of view. This is the basic of basics of Role Playing. You should be careful to not take what someone says IC as what they believe. Remember, they are playing a character, not themselves.

Out-of-Character: Abbreviated as OOC. This is when someone writes from his own point of view. OOC chat should be kept to the OOC thread, or, in minimal amount inside Role Playing Threads, as long as it is clearly indicated that it's not the character speaking anymore, generally in brackets and after a OOC: mark.

Godmodding: To Godmod. This is one of the worst offence a Role Player can do. It means making your character invisible, perfect. Also, controls other player characters into actions they (the player) didn't agree too.

Puppettering: To control with, or without permission somebody else character.

Other will be added when I find the time~
