Zassou is very easily distinged by his gray hair,his pale skin and his blindness. Unlike most sound-nin Zassou has his makings hidden, he wears his makings on his back and eyes. Zassou doesn't open his eyes very often but when he does there completely white with the symbol of sound in the center where his pupils should be.

Description: Flutes are known to be a common musical instrument, though, in the hands of one skilled in genjutsu it can become a deadly weapon. A well known example being Tatuya of the sound. This unique weapon holds many powerful techniques and with it a powerful summon. Indeed, one willing to take the time to learn and master this weapon, could hold quite a powerful force within their very hands.

Name: Harmonics Glove

Requirements: Sound Shinobi
Description: The harmonics glove appears as a single large arm guard. The interior is hollow, and the surface porous, designed in such a way as to promote the amplification and spread of sound waves for use in sound ninjutsu. The vibrations of air in the glove form into powerful sound waves that quickly reach to the opponent's eardrums, potentially causing nausea and disorientation.

Requirements: Sound Shinobi
The arm cannons, or Zankuuha cannons, are rather unique weapons. They consist of a pair of long barrels inserted into the arms, for the purpose of channeling air through chakra use. They are incredibly painful to install, since the arms must be cut open, and anesthetic is unavailable. However, the ninjutsu that they allow one to use are proportionally powerful. Due to low availability of parts to manufacture and maintain these weapons, as well as the grueling process of installing them, they are fairly rare.

Description: The Neko-te were usually used by the kunoichi (female ninja). The weapon is strong iron fingernails that were fastened into leather bands fitted on the fingers, and resembled claws and were also dipped in poisons. The eyes were a favorite spot for slashing.
Name: Lethal Poison

Description: As the name suggests this particular poison is made solely for killing. Even a small amount of this poison can be enough to kill a person, though the speed at which it works is greatly dependant on how much a person is exposed to. With a large degree of exposure (such as a poison coated kunai being shoved into your stomach), death can result in a matter of minutes if no help is recieved, but glancing strikes require substantially greater time to kill, often between two - five hours. This particular lethal poison is considered a good one for use in assasinations purely because the target will often fall unconcious before dying, and any trace of it quickly dissapears within six hours of the targets death, as such it can often make a persons death appear to be of natural causes. Additionally the poison may be introduced orally, though its efficacy is somewhat lessened, often requiring the users entire supply of poison (one small glass vial) be used, resulting in death between 5 minutes and 1 hour, the time varying between targets.
This poison can only be used once a thread. Permission from the victim's owner must also be given.

This stage in training is all about preparation, getting the basics down, and training in using the Midnight Hymn, basic speed and stamina-building exercises and the like.

Echoes: The Midnight Hymn is quite limited at this stage, and is more a supplement to the user’s other senses rather than an abject replacement. It’s range is only 50ft in a very narrow 90 degree field of vision and the user has a bit of trouble tracking moving object – or anything below the size of a beach ball for that matter.

Senses: While none of the user’s senses are noticeably beyond the human norm, they have learned to interpret the information they get from them to a higher degree than their sighted peers.

Directed Strikes: "Striking your opponent's vulnerable points" is little more than a sentence to users at this stage and while they might be able to conceive of kicking their opponent in the shin they’re not likely to do much more than that.

Description: The most basic Ninjutsu technique of the Echoes of Silence. This allows the user to perceive his surroundings without actually seeing them, as described above.

Chuunin level


At this stage, the user begins the real training. Firstly, they’re taught how to accurately counter attack an incoming enemy, in addition to dealing with the blow should they fail. Because the Midnight Hymn is still developing, grappling takes precedence here as the preferred form of combat as a method of keeping an enemy close and his location known at all times and a small number of grasping techniques or simple trips are taught to facilitate this.

Echoes: The user has progressed a bit further. The user can make out slightly more detail, and doesn't have much trouble picking out moving objects. The smallest noticeable item is about the size of a kunai, and their range has increased to 75ft. For the first time, the user’s Field of Vision (FOV) has increased ever so slightly to a 100 degree FOV.

Senses: While the user has gotten over the basic stage of adjustment, their senses still aren’t much sharper than a normal person’s. However, the user becomes proficient in Human Echolocation as a way of getting by in everyday life without their vision or the Chakra draining Midnight Hymn.

Directed Strikes: While still very basic, the directed strikes are improving. In combat, the user will go for kidneys, throats, stomachs and other areas where being struck is painful.

More of the same really. The user is taking the basics he learned and has begun applying them into a refined fighting style. Grappling maneuvers are more efficient and the user is slowly learning effective ways to keep his opponent pinned or at the very least unable to move for a vital second (more vital still if you have a knife in one hand). Dodging is becoming more intuitive – thanks in part to the fast improving Midnight Hymn and the sharpening of their other senses.

Echoes: The user can clearly make out the differences between different materials at this point in time such as wood and metal by the slightly different echoes they give off. Texture is still impossible to detect however, but the user can now detect small objects like shuriken accurately and their range has increased to 150ft in a 140 degree FOV.

Senses: Thanks to training, the senses are becoming more refined. Consequently, their reaction speed to attacks that they can hear or feel. Taste also gets a slight boost, and it isn’t uncommon for Echo Students to become notoriously picky eaters.

Directed Strikes: The idea is still the same - go for obvious weak points, but the technique is more refined, and the student learns exactly where to strike in order to cause more pain. Many users favor striking the throat or solar plexus, as this will often stun the opponent long enough to land another strike.



Oto Heki (Sound Burst)
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: By playing a few notes on their flute and infusing them with chakra the user of this technique is able to store up energy within the flute itself. It takes only a few seconds but when enough power has been collected in the flute the user quickly swings the flute out with one hand, releasing the accumulated power in a concentrated ball. Although constructed of sound waves the chakra infused ball is visible to normal eye sight. The force from the burst is sufficient to knock down a person, split wood, or crack stone.


Fukyouwaon: Wamekigoe (Dissonance: Yell)
Type:ninjutsu
Wamekigoe is much higher pitched then Unari, and is also sung in a minor key to give it a sense of discord. All beings within 10 feet of the user are affected by the force of this attack, whether it is friend or foe. The scream that is emitted is just below the human threshold for sound tolerance, and extreme discomfort is felt by all those who fall within the radius of affect. Those who hear this scream often cringe as they are stunned by the magnitude of the sound, and more often than not seek to find a way to block the noise from their ears.


Fukyouwaon: Kujiku (Dissonance: Crush)

Chakra control has moved a great deal since the genin levels. Now the user is able to control to a rather decent amount where the sound is traveling too. With this new power comes bold and painful new jutsu at their disposal. This sound is low pitched, and is controlled with chakra by the user. The sound waves target the abdomen of the opponent in an effort to bring about a sudden compression on the stomach of the foe. While the damage of this attack is only external, even the strongest of men will be brought to their knees by the sudden impact of this technique


Oto Taihou (Sound Cannon)
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: This is a much stronger version of the Oto Heki that is performed in the exact same way. The appearance of the attack is different, becoming a shrieking fireball-shaped blast of energy with a wider area of affect that the original blast song. The blast is now sufficient to shatter wood and rocks and leave a dent in sheets of metal.


Henge No Jutsu (Transformation Technique)
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: A user of this skill has the ability to transform their outer appearance to that of another form, which can be a person or object. However, due to the physical restrictions on the body, the user cannot transform into anything extremely smaller or larger than what they already are. Therefore one could not transform into a shuriken or a small animal. Neither can the user transform into an enlarged or distented form of anything (therefore no such thing as a small human-sized adult elephant, or a human-sized ant). Therefore the user must always be within the same proportions as the original form of the object. Also, the user does not gain any extra physical ability through Henge. (i.e. transforming into a cheetah will not give you a cheetah's speed) Henge is dispelled when the user is touched in an offensive matter. Thus after the user hits the target in their transformed state they revert.
System: The Transformation will last for a number of posts equal to the user's Control.


Kyou Masukingu No Jutsu (Sound Masking Technique)
Type: Ninjutsu
This ninjutsu helps to cover up any sounds the user makes if they are on a mission that requires stealth. The user sends some chakra to the target’s ears and performs the needed hand seals. Any natural sounds in the area (running water, crickets, wind, ect…) are magnified slightly to mask any soft sounds that the user may make.



Suimen Hokou no Gyou (The Art of Water Walking)
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: A technique that enables the user to walk on the surface of water by concentrating chakra into the feet. It is also used for training; it allows an individual to learn how to control the release of chakra.


Genjutsu:

Shouki Houmen (Sanity Release)
Type: Genjutsu
Description: This song dispels most genjutsu techniques. Its added benefit is that it will dispel a genjutsu used against anyone who can hear the song but with the downside of not discriminating against friend or foe in this regard. In the instance that the genjutsu has put a person in a state where they could not hear the song, then it will be ineffective. The Shouki Houmen cannot dispel all genjutsu, only those that can normally be dispelled by Kai are affected by it. This jutsu works the same way as Genjutsu Kai.

Meiryou Annon (Lucid Peace)
Type: Genjutsu
Description: A partly psychological technique helped along by chakra, the flutist plays a song for himself and his companions. By pulling those that hear the song into a state of meditation, the user can bring them to a heightened level of peace, and clear their minds of fears, concerns, anxieties, etc. Upon awakening from their trance, the listeners will be refreshed and ready to fight, all previous sensations of pain or discomfort pushed to a far, dark region of the mind. Injuries are not healed of course, but the song can imitate the effects of a painkiller. This jutsu is only useful outside of combat.

Kyouda no Kayou (Cowardice Song)
Type: Genjutsu
Description: This song fills the target with a sense of dread concerning the user. The target becomes convinced that the user of this technique is extremely powerful and that taking them on would be risky at best and foolish at worst. This song does not really cause any harm per se but the target will be extremely reluctant to engage the user of the technique in combat. This technique does not have to be focused on the user, it can create the false impression of power in any one person that the target can see.

Kodou Dousa (Beat Motion)
By subtly altering the way the target's brain interprets sound a ninja who uses this technique can cause their opponents to twitch or convulse at every sound they hear. Most sound at normal volume levels - footsteps, someone coughing - will cause slight and nearly unnoticeable twitches in the target. Louder sounds like clashing steel or someone shouting will cause a momentary spasm in usually the arm or leg muscles. Extremely loud sounds like an explosion or someone raking their nails down a chalkboard will cause the target to collapse and shudder momentarily. Anything in the upper echelons of human hearing - say 150 decibles - would cause violent and nearly bone breaking convulsions and if anything this loud was maintained for more than two posts the target would surely break their own back.

Sameru (Dampen)
A rather unique genjutsu, that focuses the illusion on the user rather than an opponent. This jutsu disrupts the user’s brain signals, causing the nerve endings of the user to become less effective. As a result, the user is able to block out pain much easier. However, this dampening of the nerve endings is a double edged sword, as it can make discerning the amount of damage one has taken very difficult, and also greatly hampers the user’s ability to grip his own weapon.

Fusenmei (Blur)
Type: Genjutsu
The user, by releasing chakra around himself, is able to slightly blur his own form. This can have several effects. If the user is wearing clohing of the proper color, he may hide himself effectively against a certain background. Secondly, this may make the user slightly more difficult to hit, especially when he or she moves. This jutsu may be held up as long as the user has the chakra to do so, but genin may not use any other jutsu while this is active.

Shihouhapou (All Directions)
Type: Genjutsu
This jutsu distorts the hearing of the opponent, causing the sounds of the user to appear to be coming from every direction. Commonly used to confuse the target concerning his foe’s location, or used to intimidate the one’s adversary by convincing him that he is surrounded.

Nagi Kashou (Lull Song)
Type: Genjutsu
Description: This melody is so beautiful that people feel almost compelled to listen to it. While hearing this song a person will start to lose some of their focus but they will be aware of it and understand that the melody is the cause. Listening to this melody makes concentration more difficult and may in some cases make listeners want to move away from it so they can think clearly. This technique can be used more effectively if the user poses as some sort of performer and people actually want to hear the song, when this happens listeners start to lose track of what’s going on around them.

Clothing: Zassou wears a gray kimono those are his only clothing, he tends to look more like a wandering blind beggar than a shinobi. Being from sound he doesn't wear a fore head protector. He carries his items concealed within the sleeves of his kimono. For shoes he wears the typical shinobi sandals, the only thing strange about his clothing is the flute he has tucked away in his belt. Witch is not to strange for a sound shinobi. His gray kimono is outlined by a white piece of cloth it goes around both the cuffs of the pants and shirt.

Personality: The first impression one gets of Zassou is that he is a gentle soul,but this is only on the surface. Zassou is a cold blooded killer he thirst for battle,he enjoys the killing of innocents more than he enjoys killing other shinobi. The only sound he enjoys more than the dieing screams of a victim is that of his own flute, having given his most precious gift up he has nothing left to lose. Though he is a monster at heart he is not foolish enough to go into battle alone, he prefers to support his allies from the middle ground.

Bio/History: Zassou was born as a sound shinobi,never having a home he had no attach ments to material things. he was only attached to one person, his father. Zasso's father was Senshi him and Zassou were sent on a mission together, to gather supplies for the village. the mission went bad and they were ambushed by nin from konoha they were in a battle when Zassou father was injured mortally. Zassou used all of his energy to help his father escape. They both knew that there was no hope of getting back to the camp. Zassou's father being higher ranking ordered Zassou to destroy his body. Zassou knew that he had to follow his fathers orders, he burned his fathers body and fled back to the camp.

When he returned to the camp Zassou could no longer bare to see his own reflection nor could he look anyone in the eyes again. late that night he waited until the camp was quiet and he branded his eyes with the symbol of sound.now blind Zassou could live with himself again,but he would be forever changed his out look on the world had changed. he had nothing left to lose devoting himself to his shinobi life and the destruction of konoha.

Zassou began training until he reached the rank of Senshi, his father would have been proud of his son.Zassou now had the strength he needed to avenge his father he now must simply wait until the time was right.he volunteered for every mission that went into fire country.

Zassou had never killed anyone before, he was sent on a mission into the village hidden within the clouds. he found a young child there his parents had been killed in the raid,the boy was standing with a sword in his hands, he attacked Zassou. Zassou without thinking Zassou slaughtered the boy, the boys scream echoed in Zassou's mind.the scream was the final straw that broke Zassou, sending him over the edge. Zassou smiled as the boys body dropped to the ground limp, his first kill was an innocent child and he had enjoyed it. He now knew that he was a monster and he accepted it.He enjoyed it.

Zassou returned to the village after the successful raid.the other Senshi greeted him warmly as he returned. He had finally found his place in the village once known as sound, he was a shinobi a tool used for death. From then on he had many more mission where he killed more than required.he was looked at as a success
