So much to do so little time!
Slowly the large brown pelted male moved through the bushes by the looks of things..thinking he was a lot smaller than his real life size. Squirming slowly Mink peeked his head out watching a few creatures move by the nice sized stream. He had to watch out for predators..for those mean hungry wolves. He wasn't a wolf you see, oh no that was just a mistake a really common one but, a mistake non the less. When things looekd clear the large male moved from the bush his head leaning down to scoop up his tiny sleeping charge happily his tail wagging through the air. An onlooker might think Mink had killed the little bunny but, in fact Bijan felt rather relaxed in the large usually dangerous jaws of the wolf. He had drifted off long ago content and, happy that his 'daddy' Mink would carry him and, keep him safe. Padding quietly the brown male settled Bijan down then moved to lap at the fresh cool water his tail wagging with pleasure. Unlike most other wolves Mink rarely ate deer even the old, sick or young ones didn't usually make it onto his menu. Instead he prided himself in being a wonderful fishing mink! Fish and other water dwelling critters served as tasty meals, sure it took longer but, he happened to be am ink so what did it matter? Bijan had been perfectly content until he felt his body in soft grass and, his tiny furred ears picked up the sound of water. Yawning cutely the little male peeked about seeing Mink close by and, no others kept him at ease. Sure Mink might be a little crazy but, if it meant not having to walk, protection from predators and a warm place to sleep every night Bijan would stay with his new 'daddy' every day until the day he died of a most likely ripe old age. Wiggling his little nose the male hopped towards the stream carefully sipping the water, again showing no fear whatsoever around Mink. Life had truly never been better.

User ImageThe sun was pelting down on Berko's dark brown fur as he made his way along a small stream. His muzzle was low and following the fresh scent of prey. He stopped in his tracks when he caught the strong scent of another wolf. "This could be bad" He mumbled as he continued on. He wasn't too worried about the scent, seeing as it was only the scent of one other wolf. He picked up speed curious to see who he would run into. It was not often that he came across other wolves and he was hoping to make a friend. Soon the wolf Berko had smelt was visible a little ways off near the stream. He noticed the small rabbit laying near and grew even more excited. "He has food, how wonderful." The lone wolf didn't look intimidating at all, he was similar in size and color and didn't seem to be looking for a fight, or so he hoped. Berko slowed his pace and started to approach the wolf, he kept his tail low and ears flat not wanting to provoke a fight.

Sweets hopped along the edge of the stream quietly, her ears quivering and her whiskers twitching erratically as she moved along. She was still a young rabbit, one that had been too slow with her still-growing limbs to escape the jaws of the large brown male wolf near her. She had expected a quick, painful death when they had first met, but what she felt along the scruff of her neck was only a gentle bite, and she found herself carried away, unharmed.

Ever since, she had been with the male called Mink. Although her instinct prompted her to flee during their first moments together, she was always brought back, and never hurt. Eventually, being the young and impressionable rabbit that she was, she grew to regard him as her parental figure, and stuck close to his heels whenever they moved. It was something that delighted the male and, therefore, delighted her, too. It made her think that all wolves were kind, friendly beings and so when the new lone appeared, she looked at him with curious, fearless eyes as she washed her face beside the stream.

Mink who had been contemplating going fishing turned abruptly as a wolf's scent reached his nostril's. His babies! Mink always kept himself friendly but...other wanted to eat his babies! He couldn't let them do that! Turnign some he watched the male his own tail low before he settled down and scooped Bijan up plopping the now indignant bunny between his paws. "Sweets...come here little one..we don't know if that wolf is friendly." Bijan had been rather content until his daddy picked him up and flopped him between his feet. "Daddy Mink!" Huffing he fluffed his fur and peeked over at the other brown wolf shaking a bit fearfully, though he knew his daddy would take care of him. Puffing himself up mink moved his head to stare at the other brown male his eyes friendly but, wary. "Hello..I'm Mink! This is Bijan and Sweets..my babies." Giving a lopsided little smile he nuzzled, and licked the bunnies his tail wagging happily. "They are not food mister wolf..they are babies and I am a mink." Mink sounded completely serious because he was completely serious.

User ImageWhen Berko reached the group he noticed there was not one rabbit, but two. Mmmm two is better than one he thought to himself. He smiled as the other wolf spoke, but after taking in what he said his smile disappeared and was replaced by a look of confusion. "Wait a moment... you're telling me that you are a mink and those are your babies?" he chuckled uncomfortable and all hopes of food vanished from his mind. He sat down tilting his head and watching the rabbits. "I guess they are sorta cute when you aren't thinking about eating them..." Berko forces a smile and turns back to the brown wolf. "My name is Berko, what about yours?" He paused and then looked at the rabbits. "And your... babies'?" He could tell that it was gonna take a little getting use to referring to the rabbits as babies.

Sweets did as she was asked, hopping closer to the male one of her brethren called "daddy." She herself had grown to refer to him as such, and when she reached him, she fluffed up against Bijan and settled against Mink's paw, using it as both a pillow and a barrier between her and the newcomer. From there, she observed the response of the stranger, satisfied. His quick, easy acceptance of Mink's words assured her even more that Mink finding her had truly been for the best, and she began to groom the paw that was still before her as a sign of her affections.

It was good that the new male had been sincere with his intent to not eat the two, for she was not aware that others could lie for their own benefit and, now thoroughly convinced that both wolves were safe to be around, took little, hesitant hops towards the brown and cream male to graze around his paws.

Bijan burrowed farther against Mink not trusting others like Sweets did. He had been hurt by big wolves but, his daddy mink had never hurt him therefore all others were bad. The brown male relaxed slightly and, smiled his head bobbing in an odd nod as he spoke. "I never think of eating them..mink's don't eat bunnies after all. Fish taste very good really..or those large deer but, they try to trample Mink and that's no good. Who would take care of my babies if I became squished?" Tail wagging in a much more friendly manner now he stepped into the stream leaving a frightened Bijan behind. "I am Mink of course! Mink the mink. That's Bijan and Sweets..they are my pretty bunny babies." Smiling serenely Mink paused as he stepped deeper into the nice sized stream he could feel the fish swimming past his legs and, with a swift move he dunked his head under the water. After a moment his head rose a nice sized fighting fish hanging from his jaws."Hmjhhfkgrph!" Grumbling incoherent things while being slapped in the face by the fishes tail Mink hurried onto the grass again and dropped the creature growling faintly his sharp teeth quickly stopping it's movements for good. "Fish! You!..are you hungry?"
