Mai sat at her tea table, sipping her one o'clock tea. She was sitting in her garden, crimson eyes gazing off into space as birds fluttered about chirping to one another. She had ordered a slave not too long ago, she insisted she hardly cared who they were. Just as long as they were interesting. She tired of this day to day schedule, filled with nothingness.
"Sebastion," She calls in a bored monotone as a dark-haired man steps forward with a bow.
"Yes Mistress?" Mai glances over at the man before sipping at her tea.
"Put another kettle of tea on." Said man stepped forward and took the pot of tea, heading towards the inside but stops at the request of Mai.
"And Sebastion, we'll be having another join us soon. See to it that the girls mind their manners." With another bow, he responds.
"As you wish Mistress." She watched him leave silently before turning to a humming bird that was now pulling the sweet nectar from a flower in a vase on the table. Mai watched the bird in silent neutrality, briefly wondering where Carolina had gotten to; surely it wasn't an all day task to pick up the groceries from town.
