“Azibo. Tau. Tabia. Azibo. Tau. Tabia. Azibo…” Akil repeated quickly under his breath, trying to quickly memorize the names and tasks of the news slaves. The girls would work together so that was easy enough. Azibo would carry the daily purchases and take over the market trips in the future. And… Tau? He’d take care of the heavier tasks which consisted mostly of removing the rubble outside to a more suitable location at the moment. Good, all set!
“Very well, miss. I’ll get acquainted with each of them as quickly as possible.” Akil said with a smile, leaning his head to the side to look at each slave in turn. “With your permission, I’ll get on it right away.” He sat very still, waiting patiently to be dismissed.

Haqikah was confident Akil would soon learn the new slaves' names, so she didn't really have to bother with that after she registered them all. Luckily she had managed to find slaves with short and uncomplicated names, so she might even learn a name or two down the line. She hadn't met many slaves with fancy names, or it could just be that she always shortened awkward slave names in her head and never bothered to remember the long ones.
"Excellent," she said and smiled, "you do that. And let me know if they give you any trouble."
She could test the slaves later when they had all settled in, and she was perfectly content with leaving the boring parts up to Akil. She'd have to take the lead if he couldn't handle the responsibility, but she hoped she wouldn't have to do that. If he learned to be a good head slave she would have more time for what she truly enjoyed. Oh, like shopping... Eating biscuits... The possibilities were endless!
"I'll be out real quick my little darlings," she said as she entered the big room again, "Akil will tell you what to do while I'm gone."
And with that she was off to register her new purchases. It wouldn't look good to have unregistered slaves running the house. Some of the neighbours seemed very lax with their slaves, but she was not going to lower herself to their level. And while she was out she could always see if there were any new wares for sale in her favourite stores...

“I’m sure they’ll do well.” Akil lowered his head even further as the mistress spoke.
He tried not to let his doubts and anxiety show. The patched slave hadn’t really expected to be suddenly in charge of other slaves but he saw it as a great sign of trust from Haqikah and hoped he could rise to the occasion. First things first, he would actually have to get to know all the slaves personally and he really should start right away.
“Have a nice walk, miss.” the young slave took one long, dep breath before turning away from the door and moving towards the nearest slave. - FIN! -
