rolleyes Though to be honest, I've never actually played Dungeons and Dragons or Shadowrun. One of my friends made this homebrew game based on DnD though and I play occasionally though. I'm slowly breaking his system. twisted

Oh. I read the other poll and made the comment about The Settlers of Catan before I read this one. rofl
Anyway, I've never been much of a boardgame person. My sister would cheat or annoy me so I never wanted to play, and so that kind of carried over into adulthood...
There's this Malaysian restuarant in Melbourne, and each table has a different boardgame so you can play while you eat. It's pretty cool.

as a german i'm tired of settlers of catan, it's all over the place here. my favourite boardgame is "stratego" anyone know that? i would describe it as some kind of "blind chess" because your enemy units are hidden to you until you attacked 'em once. the only downside it has - just like chess, it is only suited for two players.
if that's okay to you, check it out.

i love killing innocent players with hidden poisonous slime.

and it had that roleplay stuff and was fun

Stratego is great. My grandma had it at her house, and when I was a little kid my brother and I used to 'play' it with made up rules. Basically the rule was I won and got to decide how that happened.
