According to a published report Monday in The Wrestling Observer, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Edge will likely leave World Wrestling Entertainment next year when his contract expires.
The Wrestling Observer adds that four other WWE superstars may similarly bolt at the end of their contracts next next.
While John Cena, The Undertaker, Christian, and John Morrison are rumored to be the most likely to leave WWE, only Edge is widely expected to join TNA after leaving WWE.
Edge apparently wants to wind down his in-ring career with a lighter schedule - something TNA can provide. Also, Edge has repeatedly hinted at wanting to help cultivate new talent - a goal TNA could arguably better provide than WWE.
It is important to note, however, that Edge has never publicly stated his plans to leave WWE or to join TNA.
Regardless, The Wrestling Observer - which did not mention Edge joining TNA - has stirred up a major pot of WWE rumors regarding where Edge will end up in 2012.

John Cena - WWE is so far up his a**, what guy in the right mind would leave.
Undertaker - No.. Simply no. Undertaker loves his position in WWE, and if he were to leave, he'd retire just like Shawn would, and never to wrestle again.
Christian - If TNA does accept Christian back, then that is just TNA showing that they'll take any decent wrestler. A sign of Desperation.
John Morrison - He's gimmick wouldn't work in TNA. They try and display a image of Wrestling. John Morrison shows, yes wrestling, but Glamour as well. TNA wouldn't be able to provide Morrison with a spotlight he deserves. If he even did manage to win the TNA Title, how impressive would it really be, compared to let's say he won the WWE Title.
Edge - Highly unlikely. If Edge wanted a lighter schedule then he could easily get it. He's gotten it before. Also if he is eager to find new talent, then WWE could just have Edge be a host or trainer of Tough Enough along with Austin, and kill too bird with one stone regarding Edge. His schedule is lightened and he gets to help with new talent.
I don't see anyone one of them heading to TNA.

Uhh.... I thought this was a wrestling guild not basketball. But I digress. I personally think if Edge left it would be a big mistake both for him and the WWE. I mean TNA ain't that great in the first place and they would probably just drag him down. I also think grandkinglink called it. Who knows if TNA will still even be around. As far as I can tell Hogan is gonna take the company down in flames. Just my personal feelings. I could be wrong, ya know.
