Happy Fanart Febuary everyone! This is the month in which we draw pictures of our favorite characters, from anywhere at all!

Our contest for this month requires you to draw one character in it's original style. Copying a great artist's style does not mean you should be trying to completely change your own style into theirs, but it gets you out of your comfort zone and flexing those drawing muscles. You might even learn something from this exercise, who knows!

Make sure you understand this is all about STYLE, one should never use another artist's work to learn ANATOMY.

RULES

Each entry must include:
-Image of the original character.
-Image of your fanart.
-An artist statement is always nice, but not necessarily necessary.

The contest ends on February 28th. Entries are to be posted in this thread. We will accept entries all month, and then a week after the deadline, but then we will close this thread and start judging.

Judging will be based on:
-Faithfulness to original style (how close is the style)
-Faithfulness to the original character (does it look like the character)
-Effort (how much time was put into a piece)
-Originality (is the character's pose copied or new)
-Popularity (picture with most votes*)

*Once all entries are in, I will open a poll and let you all vote for which entry you like best. You cannot vote for yourself.

I'd like to say that although one piece of fanart in the style of the original artist is required for this contest, that is not the entirety of Fanart Febuary. I encourage you to do as much fanart for this month as you wish, in any style you wish to do so in, simply for the fun of it.

Alternative contest
February 14th is Singles-Awareness day. Draw a comic about one of your characters who doesn't have a special someone and how they can enjoy Valentines day as well. Submission thread will be opened on Feb. 14 and will close on the 30th.

Of course! I forgot to mention, but there is a prize for the valentines day event. if you enter for both, you might could win two prizes (depending on how many people actually participate for each. if only one person does the valentines day one and you also do one, and you win the fanart one, i will give the prize to that person)

emmm... ok XD this is my entrie for the contest 3nodding i did a fan art of "Pokemon Special: Black and White arc" i tryed to copy the style the best i could >.< but also all the positions and idea for the wallpaper was mine, it was really funny and interesting to do 3nodding thnks for the month X3 !!
