It'd been a long day... a terribly long day. One in which the Team Rocket grunt could do without. He'd returned to the pound after a arduous day at work. Work... goddess how he hated it. When ever he was surrounded by those slimy, deceiving people, he felt as though he himself stepped into a new skin. His usual calm and smooth features hardened into a fierce scowl adorned with furrowed brows. Thankfully as he got closer to the safe haven of the pound, his body relaxed more and more. Face softening again, aside from his sharp eyes, and shoulders lowering to a normal stature. Kicking his boots at the side of the door as he strode in, he dusted some flakes of snow from his jacket before proceeding further through the hallway. A cup of warm tea would be nice right about now... and maybe an English muffin. Confirming such an idea in his mind, he set out for the kitchen to pursue a warm snack to warm up, and relax his mind.

It had been what seemed like a few minutes to Nu Wa, not months, but she longed to walk amongst her country's own soul again. She was no ordinary women in any means of the words.... She was the Empress of China - and the first one at that! Decades ago she ruled her people along side her much beloved brother and also husband but how she had managed to exist for so long was a strange mystery. She clearly hid secrets behind a well preserved facade if one would do so much as look up China's history. To her luck though no one had bothered to make such a connection. Then again someone could claim they were the Queen of England and they'd be believed.
All that aside... homesickness grew int the cat's heart. She had grown attached to the culture that seemed odd in today's standards, she missed the gardens that laid in the courtyard at her castle and the beautiful trees that lined the walkways leading to the village. She could close her eyes and see it so clearly...
"But I'm not there anymore...", Nu Wa whispered in sadness to herself as she opened her eyes. She at times believed everything was all a dream. Which part was beyond her though.
Getting up from her seat in the kitchen she walked over to the sink and placed her tea cup inside gently. It was beyond her to wash dishes - that was a peasant's job. They should be thankful enough that she at least brought it to its designated location. "...Perhaps I will look through the magazines and order some flowers..."
A smile graced her soft lips. "Yes. I'll bring a little bit of home here to me..."

On his way to the destined kitchen, he stored the dark black coat into a closet near the door. No use taking it all the way back up to his room... on the other side of the establishment. It felt good to be inside... the warm heat flowing through all the rooms evenly; aside for a few that were specifically for certain individuals. As he walked through the cozy and welcoming halls, his tail flicked at a leisurely tempo, grazing the ground ever so lightly from time to time. A hand rose to idly fiddle with his lip ring, his mind slowly drifting back to the unpleasantry of his day job. The screams, and cries of devastation and distress... the breaking of families, and bonds. It always made him follow back to how he'd gotten mixed up in the whole mess to begin with... which only brought upon unwanted memories.
Sighing, followed by a deep breath, he tried to clear his mind, rounding into the kitchen. Fierce turquoise eyes peeled open as he entered, immediately snapping to the other figure already there. Taking note of her briefly, he gave a polite nod of his head to the lovely female and lowered his hand from his lip as he walked to the cabinet to retrieve a mug. Placing it on the counter, he moved to the teapot to fill with water, and gave a quick turn to the knob on the stove. Perhaps she'd like some.. glancing back over to her, unaware that she'd already indulged in a refreshing cup, he asks lightly, "I'm making some tea, miss.. I can leave the water on the stove if you'd like some.."

Nu Wa turned to head out of the kitchen until the male's voice stopped her. A brow raised for a faint second before she gazed in his direction. Such a gaze was enough to stop most in their tracks for a second with a shiver down their spine. She was a cold beauty, one who wasn't afraid of getting blood on her hands if it meant the security or expansion of her country or whatever cause she fought for at the moment. "A little too late, sir." she icily snapped. but decided to humor the cold remark, "...but thank you none the less."
A smile flashed on her lips as she began to walk out of the kitchen. Her current goal had to be accomplished - she had to make that garden. But where to begin? Usually others tilled the ground, planted the seeds, watered them and she just reaped in the reward. Surely she must have seen the peasant farmers enough to understand how to plant a simple seed. But how to make it beautiful like the lavish gardens she remembered so well from home...? She paused in her tracks and frowned. This started to sound harder with each new thought she put into it.

The fox didn't give much thought to her tone of voice; quite used to the harsher words of others from his employment. A slight grin crooked at the corners of his lips, a light nod in return to her words, his eyes staying trained on the small mug he'd obtained. Walking along the side of the counters, moving to get the box of tea bags, his tail gently grazed the lower drawers, the tip curling along a few handles idly. Finding the box of choice, he pulled out a little packet, heading to the stove as well to start it up and set the filled teapot atop of it. Leaning back against the counter, waiting for the water to heat up, his mindset and thoughts weren't far from the royal feline. He planned to visit his garden in the green house once his tea was finished, and go about his daily routine of watering and tending to all the numerous and varied flora. In fact... he had brand new young orchids he'd just received... they were quite lovely. A new challenge as well.
Yes it seemed the the charm of vegetation was what comforted the two strangers, and what both held onto as a means of security. Those steel sharp eyes slowly closed as he listened to the faint steps of the female leaving, and of distant inhabitants going about their days. It didn't take long for the growing whistle of the teapot to bring him back from his idle state, eyes peeling back open. Hoisting himself from resting against the marble counter, he lifted the pot from the stove, and guided it over to his prepared mug, slowly pouring in the steaming water.

Shaking aside all doubt Nu Wa headed outside to go find a nice area to begin her garden. Although she wanted something extravagant she'd have to settle with something small first. Once outside she examined the yard, seeing various gardens and other things scattered about. "Hm... seems like gardening is rather popular here..."
A faint nod and she walked off further away from the pound. Perhaps she'd have better luck there. Finally she found a little spot that was big enough to ease her hunger for a flowerbed and to her surprise wasn't in anyone's way or to her knowledge claimed for something else. "I think here will do... there's plenty of sunlight." A soft content purr escaped her lips as she looked around. "Now... who can I borrow a shovel from...?"
Buying one might be a better idea...

Once his tea was in his possession, the fox took a leisurely stroll out of the kitchen, carefully sipping from the warm mug. Ah, it cleansed the senses and the soul. Closing his eyes briefly to enjoy the heat traveling along his throat, he murred deeply, tail giving a content little flicker. Now, time to see his 'babies'.
Walking along the outside of the pound to get towards his precious greenhouse, the Rocket observed the other gardens that lined the area. All holding different varieties of flora, and vegetation. Some for farming purposes, other's for pleasure. It always fascinated him to see what sort of plants others found interest in. He himself had a vast array of species... unable to chose just one. But there stood the building. His haven. To his surprise he also caught sight of the female from before. So she too was a member of the gardening society around here? How delightful. Walking casually along, he eyed the spot that she'd chosen. It had rich soil, even if it were a bit small. A beginners patch. "Are you planning a garden, miss?" perhaps she as in need of assistance. After all, he'd helped most of the garden dwellers around here, and started them off with their beginning seeds.

Nu Wa heard a voice and turned to locate the source. It was the fox from earlier in the kitchen. 'Just a coincidence' she thought. With a firm nod of her head she looked towards the patch she wished to begin her garden in. "Yes, however, it will be my first time starting one from scratch."
The white haired female glanced back to the fox, "Do you know if anyone has any plans for this area?". Not that it would detour her from her goal if someone had. She would simply find elsewhere. Even the poorest of soil will eventually bear beautiful flowers if tended to properly.

Watching her as she spoke, his eyes following down to the prepped flat of land, Broderic gave thought to her words. Most of the soil had been tiled and well kept in general, in case a newbie such as herself may want to start to road of a gardener. It was quite an exciting thing. Calmly giving a flick to his tail, the fox shook his head slightly, "That land is free for you to use, miss.. But might I ask what you have in mind to plant? Depending on what it is, I may be able to suggest you a more appropriate area." If she were to plant produce, such as vegetables or fruits, this was a perfect patch. But more exotic flora may need a more coddled area, rich in high nutrients, and in specific conditions that held more or less sunlight.
This made him think again. She was starting her first garden. Most likely she would be in need of the proper tools, and knowledge of how to begin making one, and to handle it's up keep. "If you would like, I may be of assistance to helping you get started.. I am quite an avid and seasoned gardener myself.."

"Hm..? Flowers. Plum flowers, Narcissus, Orchids..." Her voice trailed off. There was plenty of others but over time she could acquire them. Certain ones required a source of water which would mean needing a pond. That would take time and effort to build. She should just focus on one thing first.
So this man knew of gardening? He may be useful.... No. Nu Wa had told herself she would deal with this garden herself. All she needed were some tools and she could get to work. "Are you? Well that's quite thoughtful but all I need are some tools and I can get to work myself."
