RPC Name: Arturia Irongut
Rank: Trainee
Class: Paladin
Element: Earth
Weapon/Armor name: Hushmist
Type: Longsword
Description: A sword made entirely of wood with symbols etched into it that seems harmless when first encountered. It has no ability to cut a person and certainly could not be used for any purpose except training in this state. It is only when one comes close to the sword that it starts to react to their presence. The sword is, essentially, a sentient item and has no wishes to be held or used by any person unless they're judged to be its friend through some convoluted manner.
The sword is cut from an ancient, arguably, evil tree that lives in the deepest part of the forest and so resist being wielded by Paladins and Clerics fiercely as to be wielded by them it must first be subdued with their holy power. It resists even Necromancer and Shadowknights just not to the same level as their relationship is different. Subduing the sword is not the hardest part. That would be resisting it while it's subdued.
The sword has the ability to talk to people, particularly its wielder, and make jeering comments and general lies to them as to force them into taking drastic action and having themselves killed. Unless under stress it should be easy to ignore but its suggestions can sometimes negatively affect the wielder. The whispers also affect the people the person is fighting usually meaning they too must hear it whisper to them and tell them lies putting them on an equal psychological footing for the duration of the fight.
Another ability of the sword is to grow like any other plant. It must be sheathed in a special sheath designed for it or it will start to grow rapidly forming into a full forest over the course of a year. This would be most unsatisfactory because in theory it would lead to the sword consuming entire cities. It is unknown what actually happens when the full forest grows. The Paladins and Clerics who used to keep it under check presume it was bad however and so used to simply avoid letting it happen.
While this all makes the sword a difficult weapon to tame it does not detract from the fact that when used properly it is an incredibly dangerous holy weapon. When held in the hands of a Paladin or Cleric and properly activated the carvings in it give off a powerful glare of holy light and a blade of light envelops the blade giving it its strength. The blade is as strong as a Steel Weapon but automatically hits for holy damage when activated making the wounds deeper and harder to treat for Dark or Demonic entities.
The sword being wood can be set on fire but cannot be burnt away by flames. Instead it sets alight until deactivated and modifies its damage to Fire+Holy making the wounds burn as well as being the only thing that can keep the sword from whispering. The sword will stop talking when set on fire and this is the only way of keeping it quiet. There are sigils on the handle that stop it from setting alight which is the reason the entire sword doesn't go up in flames and disappear. This doesn't stop it from being very, very hot however. The sword is easily cooled off with a strong breeze or water however and should eventually go out anyway.
These are the skills listed in the body of text for those who do not wish to read it all. (Though it would be better if you did.)

Skill description: Activates the power of the sword turning it into a potent holy weapon. It hits for holy type damage making it a valuable asset against evil. It does not stop the weapon from talking however.
The ability does not require continuous energy. Only a one time sacrifice of one C Rank's worth of energy.
Type of skill: Special Weapon Ability
Skill name: Coat of Flames
Rank: C
If it uses ammo how much: None
Limits: Requires the sword to touch an open flame or some heat source.
Skill description: The sword sets alight making its damage of the fire type. When combined with the former ability this makes its damage holy and fire type. This skill doesn't have to be learned but rather discovered through luck or prior knowledge of the sword's abilities.
It is the only thing that can silence the blade though it cannot stop its encroachment. The sword can be put out by a strong gust or cold water.
Sample: Below Sample
Sample: Arturia looked down at the blade sheathed on her side and in turn it looked back at her she was sure but with far more malicious intent. The blade writhed and whispered inside its binding. A cacophony of voices came from it as she grasped at the handle whispering lies and dis-encouraging words to her. She would not tolerate it. She drew the blade from its sheath with a sudden burst of strength.
The blade looked dull and useless when it was drawn. It could hardly warrant the heavily bound and large sheath that held it through the eyes of any ordinary onlooker. It was at the moment that one would begin to wonder why anyone had such a useless weapon that it began to activate. The weapon writhed in Arturia's hand trying to escape as the carvings in it began to glow with holy light. A powerful bright golden colour against the dark black. A translucent blade of light formed around the edges. Blinding and burning.
"Your own body will betray you." The blade whispered to Arturia in her own voice. She ignored it as she had become used to doing. It rarely if ever told the truth and even when it did it was a skewed and manipulated version.
"I present to you your charges heretic." Arturia announced to the Necromancer before her. Cowering in the face of such overwhelming holy power. He was not the greatest Necromancer to ever have walked the planet yet neither the weakest. He would certainly put up a fight. "Four counts of murder, treason, attempted murder and necromancy." An easily felt hint of disgust in her words. The Necromancer did not want to die but he also didn't want to rot in prison.
"Guilty!" He screamed as he launched a fireball for the sword she held at her side. The stupid girl had forgot to bring any other weapons. He watched as her sword set alight while she looked at it with a smile. The whispers stopped in his head. Surely the thing was dead now.
"Then your punishment is death." Her eyes looked at him with the kind of pure hatred thought impossible of young woman of her age. The Necromancer put a skeleton in her way as she charged forward but it was no use. A mist obscured the blade from view and twisted and bent through the skeletons ribcage to go through it her sword ran him through the heart, destroying it in a torrent of fire and holy energy. He didn't have time to scream. His body was little more than ashes in a couple of seconds.
Arturia re sheathed her sword. She didn't enjoy using it at all. The flames died down inside the sheath and the sword lost its glow. The sword whispered again now to her. Slowly and small things. It could never be ignored just resisted.
The sample is outdated and includes the ability for the record. I can edit it if you want but I really don't see it as an issue. Also it isn't a weapon for immediately. It's just there for later depending on the rank this takes to use.
