IN THE EVENT THAT FOR SOME REASON A BOY HAD SEX WITH ONE OF THEM WHILE WE'RE YOUNG, i doubt any of them could handle a baby. it's weird to think of any of them pregnant under the age of, like, 32.

Ohhh I had no idea it was free in Canada. It's hundreds of dollars here.
And yes even then it's not comparable to the price of a baby, but I'm just saying at first a baby is pretty cheap. After a while it gets more pricey but assuming the parent(s) don't stay lazy asses forever and actually get jobs and everything, it's still not bad all in all.

I'd probably try to make them look at all their options. I'm pro choice, but it's not a choice I could make, although I considered it with my last because we were that destitute at the time (that was right after Craig was kicked out of the church, I was in the middle of a nervous breakdown, we had no money to feed the kids we did have and I had no insurance at the time). I would probably ask if she had support systems in place if she wanted to keep it, offer to help find suitable adoptive parents, or interview adoption agencies, and if she ultimately decided on an abortion, I'd go with her and ask tons of questions to make sure she would be o.k. medically. Then follow her around in the days after to make sure she's o.k. It's the last option on my list, and I don't really take the "it's my body" statement that seriously, because the baby isn't my body either so I struggle with the "do I have the right to harm that body" mentality. However, I also know that until you walk a mile in another woman's shoes, it's impossible to judge them. And babies are kind of like parasites so...
Regarding age of not telling mom you're getting an abortion being 12? Eeesh. I don't agree with any laws like that until I am no longer responsible for them. What if something goes wrong, there's an allergic reaction to medication (I've had delayed reactions) and I don't know what happened to get her care? Given my kid would probably tell me (I hope) anyway, but if she didn't and something went wrong, I'd be devistated. I'm still her mom and have to know her medical history.

If my best friend was pregnant I would tell her her best choice would be to abort it. She has way too many family problems, depression problems, money problems, etc. I'm not going to explain her life story but the drugs she is on would probably kill it, and if she doesn't take them she'd probably kill herself. I care more about her. And to be fair she would agree. She knows she is in no way fit to carry or raise a child. She is my best friend and I care about her more than pretty much anyone and everything else. Her life is more valuable to me.
