True story? I think so.

It was a few years back. I believe I was at least.... 7? My mom used to work as a lady who cleaned up apartments or houses after people moved out to be presentable for the next customers.
Anyways, she had to clean a house, and brought me along. It was usually boring to go with her on her jobs, but this was a two story house, and it was huge. You could do a crap load of stuff... Well at least for a seven year old.
But seeing how I was a good child (kinda) and it was a big house, I decided to help my momma clean. The house still had furniture in it, but the people who left didnt want it. They left a radio with speakers, a tiny tv (no cable), a small table and a lawn chair.
The tiny tiny hall connecting the dinning room and the living room had a door. That door lead to the stairs to the basement. Next to that door was the stairs, then the room.
Anyways me and my mom were in the living room part, where the radio and the table where. I was sweeping, and she was cleaning the filth off the walls. What pigs the people who lived there where. Then, the radio turned on. First it was on the fizzy channel. Then the channels started to turn, back and forth hearing a lot of words but none that made sense. Weirded out, me and my momma turned it off. We decided to rub that off, and continue on the work so we can leave.
Then we heard foot steps as if they where walking down stairs. We looked at each other, then heard water dropping. Then a big crash coming from the basement stairs. I screamed, because I scream to loud noises, and my mom ran to the basement door. Opening it, she looked down there, and saw nothing. Nothing was broken, out of place or anything.
Now, that was good for her. She wanted to leave the house, and find out what was wrong with it.
Comes to find out a man that was walking down the steps a few year earlier, slipped on water that was leaking, and died on the bottom of the stairs. Funny thing is, is that I felt like I was being watched while in that house...

This is a story I heard on a Camp I went on once. It was a beach-side and the beach was like a 2 minute walk away from the camp. The camp itself was built on some old battlements from a war that ended about 30 years before the camp was built there. Anyways there was this one soldier who was working on the battlements, and he saw this submarine come up out of the water near the beach. They raised a white flag, the flag of surrender. The soldier turned to his commanding officer asking what he should do.

His commanding officer told him to shoot them. The soldier refused seeing as they had raised a white flag. The commanding officer told him once again to shoot them and once again the soldier refused. He was told one more time to shoot them and refused, so the commanding office took action. He told the soldiers mates to kill him. Seeing as it was their friend, they couldn't do it so what they did was they took him down into the catacombs of the battlements and bricked him into one of the dead end tunnels. They left him there and for four days and nights they heard scratching on the brick wall they'd made.

On the fith day there was no scratching. Thinking their mate was finally dead they un-bricked the wall and walked in. What they found surprised them. Inside there was blood everywhere, no surprises, but the body was no-where in sight. It had vanished into thin air. After that the war ended and the battlements where shut down. Then the camp was set up and built. During one of the camps a student went missing. He'd vanished without a trace and everyone was looking for him. His parents and all the camp staff, but he was nowhere to be found.

One night, a couple of the camp staff where sitting in the dining hall and they looked out the window, they could see the battlements from there, but that wasn't the strange thing. They could see this glowing light out on the battlements. Deciding to check it out, they made their way over to the battlements. Standing there was a man. He raised his arm and pointed out across the battlements. The camp staff followed the direction he was pointed and, surprise, surprise, they found the missing boy. They gave him a cup of hot chocolate and he was perfectly fine.

The man however was never seen again.
