11. If you've had a Pokemon for a week and it's done more than sit in a Daycare or a PC Box, it can evolve. If it can evolve again, you must wait two more weeks.

14. It is inevitable that your Pokemon will die. Sure, there will be some that will not, but a lot will. Remember rule 1.
