This one is for all the marbles, the battle between two of the NFL's most celebrated franchises, meeting for the first time in the Superbowl. And here's my pick.
Green Bay vs. Pittsburgh- The last time these two teams played each other was in the 2009/2010 regular season, Surprisingly for two Defensive power houses it was a shoot out which the Steelers won with a last minute touchdown by Roethlisberger 37-36. In that game the Steelers had home field advantage, and it was still going up against a young QB in Aaron Rodgers who was still developing his game only in his second season as a starter. This time the game will be played on a neutral field, indoor artificial turf in Dallas, not ideal for two northern teams who play out doors on grass. And second, with Rodgers another year in and another year more experienced, he seems to have more going for him than in their previous match up.
In the AFC championship game the Steelers jumped out to a huge 24-0 lead, but went scoreless in the second half and barely escaped to fight another day as the Jets rallied to make it a one score game. Could it have been from some team re-adjusting during half time? Maybe, but this is more about the Steelers offensive line. The Steelers offensive line is incredibly beat up, has been struggling to keep a healthy unit on the field. Well Sunday the unit took another blow as pro-bowl center Maurkice Pouncey was injured. After his injury the Steelers offense could not get anything going and struggled in the second half. As a result the offensive unit went scoreless, and with exception of two first down passes to seal the victory they couldn't get anything going at all. Pouncey hasn't been ruled out for the Superbowl, but is questionable to play, even if he does he will be playing injured and the offensive line will still struggle against a tough, blitz heavy Packers D.
On the other side of the ball the Steelers boast one of the toughest defensive units in the league. And are very difficult to run against. Green Bay is a pass first squad but have found some success running the ball behind Starks in their previous playoff games. IF the Packers win it will be because of Aaron Rodgers, he is that teams leader, their offensive weapon of mass destruction, and without him they don't stand a chance. (Look at their last game against Detroit) The Steelers are also good at bringing pressure and blitzing. The Packers offensive line needs to keep Rodgers on his feet, get into a rhythm early, and try to eat up time of possession to wear down Pittsburgh's defense so they can put up some late points to potentially win. Another key factor is Troy Polamalu, he was pretty quiet in the Steelers win over the Jets, he isn't playing at 100% either. If he plays at the same level against the Packers as he did against N.Y. the Pack will win this one. I know he's injured but he needs to step it up against Rodgers, who is a bigger threat than Sanchez ever will be.
In the end, the Packers are 2 and 1/2 point early favorites to win this game. Will this game be over or under the 73 combined points from their last meeting? Definitely under. It will be a close game, but one I think is justified in the Packers favor.
FINAL SCORE: GREEN BAY-27 Pittsburgh- 23

Steelers even though Packers gain momentum, the Steelers has experience from the other Super Bowls a couple of years ago. They know how it's like. My prediction is gonna be......30 - STEELERS 27 - PACKERS!

I will choose the Green Bay Packers to win
herre is why:
Of course everyone know that the Baltimore Ravens had the Steelers beat until the fumble by Ray Rice. If that fumble did not happen, the Ravens would have won.
Aaron Rogers is what I believe as the fastest arm that will be in the Super Bowl. They are a very bottom seed (No. 6 Seed) and they beat the odd and have made it to the championship. They have a great defense, heck they beat the Bears with basically their defense alone.
Now I know that the QB Ben for the Pittsburgh Steelers can escape out of the pocket, but Rogers is a lot quicker that Ben. Yeah the Steelers have won more rings, but The Packers came this far and will not let anyone beat them.
So that is a few reasons why I choose my pridiction, if you have any more info to why I think they will win, PM me.........
