The Rumor

There have been rumors passing around all around the world that the shinobi of Iwagakure have gained information pertaining to the location of Legendary Swords of the Mist Seven Swordsmen, weapons that were thought to have been lost for the rest of history to the shinobi world. It is upon any shinobi's discretion to search out one of these shinobi and persuade them to reveal further information on the said swords.

Notes:
Any rank member can join. There is no time limit on this mini-event and should be thought of as a type of side quest that can be started and finished at any time.

These swords are what are to be classified as Guild Items. This means that they do not belong specifically to any one member. They can be upgraded like normal items by any owner but at their own discretion. Do note these items can not be upgraded in a way that compromises their original build.

If these items are stolen by another player, they will not respawn back to you. Also they can not be sold to NPCs for half value, they can only be traded and sold(via the Auction Option in the Shop Thread) amongst players.

Stage 1
Upon arriving in the Earth Country it will take 2,000 Words to locate one of the shinobi that actually have the information on where the swords are located, however they are rather unwilling to part with the information for free and how unwilling they are is based off of how you approach them. How effective your approach is will be based off of a check of Int(2) + Int Stat Buff(2) vs 1250. Failure will result in them telling the location is in the East, Succeeding will result in the location being in the Central part of the world, Success by 20 or more will result in the West and Success by 40 or more will result in the North.

Due to their unwillingness you must find some way to make them reveal the location, you must get them to further reveal information. This can be done either through bribing, performing a task for them(whether it be miscellaneous, illicit, or just down right illegal), or simply threatening/intimidating them. This will take 1000 more words and once done a player must generate a number between 1 and 5 to reveal what location the NPC reveals.

North
1. Earth Country
2. Waterfall Village
3. Hidden Stone Village
4. Rain Country
5. XII. Path

East
1. Water Country
2. Lightning Country
3. Land of Frost
4. Lightning Country
5. Water Country

West
1. Wind Country
2. XI. Path
3. Tea Country
4. River Country
5. Hidden Vally Village

Central
1. Fire Country
2. Rice Field Country
3. The Valley Of The End
4. Hidden Whirlpool
5. Hidden Heat Haze Village

Stage 2

As you travel to your destination and after asking around for information, it becomes painfully obvious that you are not the only person asking around. In fact there have been many others that had already arrived in the area before and still are swarming in at this very moment, and just as you have noticed them, they have surely taken note of you and are beginning to hustle to gather information. It will take 4000 Words to gather enough information to find out your next destination however one may make a flee check(Agix2 + Stat Buffx2 + Flee Buffs) vs 2000, succeeding means your word count has been cut down in half, however failure will double your words... This is optional.

(The second check must be at your destination)
As your race for information ends you discover that the location of the sword is privileged to an elderly man that lives on the edge of the village. However you know that you have the attention of the other shinobi trying to obtain the sword and must now find some way to get from your present location to the old man without having them follow you. You can do 1500 Wordss of idly pretending to know nothing until the others stop watching you or make a Stealth Check of 400. If succeeded you have successfully tricked, lost, confused, whatever have you, your followers. However, if you fail the check you will have to do 3000 Words of losing them before continuing on normally... as they are now more keenly watching you.

Stage 3

You have finally arrived at the elderly man's home, losing all your unwanted followers in the process. The home is a rather small cottage with the putrid stench of garlic filling it to the brim. Within awaits an elderly man sipping his tea with a glazed look in his eyes and a mischievous grin on his face. He is well aware of what you are hear for and he has no intention of being easy about it. Before he tells you the location of the sword, he wants you to listen to a story(This is not required to read, just if you are need of something to respond with). If you wish to listen to the story then you may make a Will Power Check vs 500. Whether you succeed or not, you gain a +1 to Chance, and for every increment of 20 you succeed by increase that by another +1.
However you may choose not to listen to the story and can intimidate or simply attack the old man until he talks, however this will require a check of Str(x5) + Stat buff(x5) vs 1000, success means you have crushed the old fella's spirit and he will tell you everything you want to hear; This gives you a +3 to Chance. However if you fail you will receive -2 to Chance.

This whole interaction will take 2000 Words before your check if you choose to listen and 1000 Words only if you wish to force it out of the man...

Once you have gotten the final information about where the sword is hidden(Your discretion on where in that country it is.) You may RP out 1000 Words to go to that location before Generating a number between 1 and 7. Your chances of success are initially 1 to 3, however based on your previous actions they may have been increased or decreased. If you have a chance of 1 to 7, you do not have to Generate a number as you will automatically find a sword. At this point please PM a mod(ssAntonio, Ele360, or Dark Bunny Lord) with a link to your post so they can issue out your reward. HOWEVER, if you have a chance of 1 to 8, you can choose which of the remaining 7 Swords that you wish to obtain.
