Maritsa was combing the long, tendrils of her hair. She was a bit self-conscious. Her body hadn't quite returned to normal yet after the pregnancy. It had been quite unexpected and quite unwanted. Her mother had consoled her, told her that things would be different after she gave birth.
But things very simply hadn't, she didn't enjoy being a mother. Maybe if she had loved Natalia that would have been different, maybe she would have wanted to have children and be a mother. But it had been something fleeting to pass the time.
She didn't hate them, she was fond of them in a way. But they didn't feel like hers. Pushing it from her mind, she combed her hair. It wouldn't be long and she'd be completely back to normal. All that was left was a very small amount of "fat", but she'd never really had any before so it made her uncomfortable.
Humming a low song, she kept coming her hair on the outcrop of rocks at the reef.

Dryll had been swimming along the reef, dodging in and out of the shadows as per usual, when he heard started hearing a strange noise. Determined to find the source, he swam off in search.
A few minutes later..
'That sound is driving me insane. I need to find whomever or whatever is making that noise and make it stop.'
The tide began to pull out for another large wave when he noticed her. Sitting on the outcropping was a lovely merpony. Something about her seemed strangely familiar, but Dryll shrugged it off as deja vu.
Realizing that he may come off creepy, he stole back into the shadows. His stealth was more than enough to hide him. 'I'm sure she didn't see me. But, who is she....'

Maritsa splashed water of herself and enjoyed the moist drops revitalizing her skin. She loved the feeling of the sun on her skin, but she hated how it dried her out so quickly. Stopping combing her hair, she leaned back and lifted her face to the sun.
Without moving, she could feel a surge in pheromones nearby. Someone was watching...a small smile spread across her face.

'That song she's humming is really getting on my nerves...' Dryll gritted his teeth, 'But it'd be weird of me to just wander up to her and tell her to shut up.'
'Its probably more weird to sit here and watch her though,' He grumbled to himself, swimming out from behind the rocks. "I'm sorry to intrude, but what in the world are you singing? I could hear it from quite a ways away."

Maritsa tossed her long hair and favoured the male with a coy smile. "I'm sorry, I hum terribly. It's a relief you didn't hear my singing voice--it's dreadful." She made herself blush flipping the water back up onto her body.

"I can almost assure you that I have probably heard worse," Dryll chuckled, remembering when Ty thought that she'd try to be a famous singer, "And I never said it was bad. I just can't place where I know it from. It feels very familiar..."

Maritsa smiled broadly, this song had been the doom of many a man and woman. All she had to do was get him close, touch him...and he would be hers. This song, it would help:

Her voice broke softly on the last part, she'd learned from experience that her conquests liked that as though the story held some meaning to her. She looked back at him now sadly, "Are you my jolly sailor bold?"
