I really want to start another RPG.
But the problem is that I have no idea if anyone would be willing to join at this point. I mean, I think a few would - and I'm totally not staring straight at Izzy as I say this - but I'm sort of insecure, because, as per usual, the base plot would be a spin-off from the Original World of Alagaesia RPG that took place way too many years ago. It wouldn't be anything too complex, so people wouldn't feel awkward jumping into it. (Unlike the million other times we tried to do a spin-off and had it end horribly wrong.)
If I see that enough people are interested, I'll give you a quick summary of what the base plot would be like, and we could just run with it from thereon out. Also, I haven't read Brisingr, so I may be tempted to disregard the last half of the book and completely make up the rest of the story as I go. However, I'm willing to change my plan of action if you so will it; I'm just easygoing like that.
So.
Who's up for it?

*pokes poll*
I am so unused to gaia polls now. For the record, minae, I haven't voted in the poll (and I won't unless you want me to. *shrug*). I'm assuming you did...so there's ONE MYSTERY PERSON willing to RP with our insanity.

Well, no, because I figured you'd already agree no matter what the subject-matter was, and even more so if we're just basing the plot on an old overused plot. c:

doublelifegirl357 I would LOVE to, but until April I'm gonna be pretty busy. I've been cast in a play... mrgreen Congrats! This is great news! : D I think we can wait three months before something's done. I don't think we're going to have the necessary amount of active members until then anyways.

YOU MUST LEAVE A COMMENT, SILLY VOTER. Oops. Got distracted by other threads. I used to do a lot of RP a few years ago but everything has since disbanded.

Thaliat Everwood Oops. Got distracted by other threads. I used to do a lot of RP a few years ago but everything has since disbanded. Wheee! Mystery voter is solved!! biggrin I used to RP ages ago too. But everything then pared back until it was just two people going back and forth. I'm not even talking about just the ones here, but there was this other long epic thing too that ended up being collaborative story writing between me and a friend... You guys are making me excited now. razz I think waiting the three months is a good idea. Who knows, maybe people will come back and we'll have more to play with! biggrin doublelifegirl357 Thanks! I have an ensemble role in my favorite stage show... Phantom of the Opera! Wow! Phantom! Congrats! Have you done much theatre stuff before? P.S Minae, I voted. Figured since it's beyond just the two of us now, an ongoing headcount is better. razz

The thing is, now we know exactly who the four voters are. There's no mystery in it at all and it's sort of boring this way. Ah well. /sigh
You can't get everything you want, I s'pose.
I am excited though! I'm going to have to come up with a plot that incorporates everything I want to put in it. It's going to be a long, hard, tedious task. So Izzy you'd better help me with it because otherwise I may just go mad. Like the hatter. Speaking of which, I do love Burton's movie. Loads. I think I'll go watch it now.
because there is no chance in hell that i am ever rewatching that horrible movie they dared call eragon.

There is really no pleasing you, is there?
And of course I'll help you plan it. Now that we've actually worked out which times we're both online, it should be easy.
It kinda feels like Tim Burton never really changes. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing though...

Thanks Isisdar, and yes, I've done theater before. In fact, my fist show was another Andrew Lloyd Webber creation: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Yay! Dreamcoat!
I'm working on a production of Annie in March. And beyond that, I'm considering Little Shop Of Horrors...but I've done it before so I'm not so enthusiastic about it. Okay, admittedly "done it before" was emergency-filling-in-for-one-night but still...
I really want to work on a production of Les Mis at some point...and while a professional production of it is coming next year, there's no way I'll have enough qualifications by then to even be considered for it.

I actually have a cousin who's auditioning for a professional production of Annie! Hey, you seen the poem I posted in the Menoa Tree?

Okay, sorry it took me forever to reply. My cousin made it to the top 4 potential Annies but didn't make it. She perked back up really quickly, though. And we just had our first performance weekend. We've been getting a lot of praise. We have another show Wednesday for some grade-school kids (I get out of half of school, WOOHOO!) and one more performance weekend (which equals 3 performances).
