I'm not getting hired. I was fired from my stocking job at Target for being incompetent and slow. I quit Gandy after a week because I couldn't handle the stress of canvassing. Before that, I was fired from a job at a grocery store BAGGING GROCERIES because I didn't properly notify my employers I was going to be away for a week. Just recently, I applied to a number of different fast food restaurants. I've not heard from a single one since. In light of this, I must conclude I am too stupid to perform the following tasks.
1. Stock shelves
2. Canvas
3. Bag Groceries
4. Make fast food for fat idiots

You just haven't found the right job for you yet or the right job setting. Keep trying and i'm sure you'll eventually have a job you enjoy working at.

What can someone who couldn't even handle giving out coupons for free roofing estimates do for a living? Do you have any concept of how inept I am?

You sound a lot like me. I'm not good at too many things that I can get paid for, so working and job hunting can be a hassle. I have never been fired, but I don't think any of my bosses were ever sad to see me go either...

On the bright side, the grocery store sounded like it was a communication issue, not an issue of being bad at what you were doing. And not hearing back from a place doesn't mean that you're not good enough. It can mean that someone with more experience applied, or they're going to hire the manager's nephew, or they're not hiring right now, etc.

So don't beat yourself up over that. Keep trying. Are there any places that you might enjoy working a bit more? For example, maybe stocking shelves at the public library, or a pet store, or a health food store, or something else that you're interested in would be more fun than stocking shelves at just any old place?

Trust me there aren't many people in the world who can't relate to you. I have applied to over 50 places and got hired at one, but turned out all the management would do is give me s**t and gossip about how I would do nothing. Hell second day at work I got yelled at because, I wasn't restocking stuff. I was a bagger no body told me anything. After that just got worse so i had to leave. After that experience I almost don't wanna even bother trying to get a job. If that is how management acts. Wasn't just like one guy either it was like everyone.

It's pretty screwed up too since I am only 16 they expect me to be just some little s**t trying to make money for like weed or something. Which isn't true, I need money to go to GED classes. Let alone just the test.

I could go on about it but, it won't help me get it done. What I am saying is just keep trying eventually I am sure both of us will find jobs without a bunch of pompous power tripping assholes.

You're certainly not the only one who has issues with getting/keeping jobs. My husband has had quite a lot of issues getting and keeping jobs recently, and mostly through no fault of his own.

Either way, maybe you could look into locally owned businesses doing something you can do. Generally smaller businesses take on less employees but are more sympathetic toward people than big chains who don't care about anything but making money.

My boyfriend is the same age as you and has been trying for almost a year to get a job. Not one place has ever responded to him applying. We've pretty much given up. I was hoping by this time that both of us would have saved up some money and I could seriously consider looking at houses, but I'm beginning to think I'll be living with my parents forever.
