The continent of Rodicia is home to many people. As such, it has many different countries. Among these countries are the kingdoms of Gailor and Faren. These two countries were never exactly on "friendly" terms, but the last few centuries have only seen minor border skirmishes.
Suddenly, Gailor invaded Faren. Caught by surprise, the Faren army was ill prepared. Gailor marched towards the Faren capital and laid siege to it. However, the Faren army didn't last long and fell after only a few days. As soon as the enemy fell, Gailor entered the city. The king of Gailor and a few members of the army went to the castle and slew the nobles. Then King Gailor killed the entire royal family, with the exception of the prince, Akihiko, who managed to escape. With the death of the royal family also came the death of the kingdom of Faren, for it was now ruled by Gailor.
Two years later, a mercenary going by the name of Aki started to claim to be the missing Prince Akihiko. Not only do he and the prince share similar names, Aki also bears a striking resemblance to Akihiko. Aki is now raising an army to defeat Gailor and reclaim his country in the name of Faren.

 1. Romance is allowed and encouraged, but no cybering. It's disgusting and I don't want to read it.
2. I am God in this RP, so what I say goes.
3. No god moding.
4. No killing without permission from the person you are killing and then I'll want proof of agreement. You don't WANT to know what will happen if you defy this rule. TRUST ME.
5. You may have up to 4 characters, as long as you keep track of them.
6. I will play both King Gailor and Aki, for the sake of making my life easier when we get closer to the end.
7. Post at LEAST once every two or three days. I'm a high school student, so I understand if you have difficulty with your schedule, but I am sick and tired of getting people who send me profiles and then only post once. If you disappear without a word, you get only 3 warnings before you are simply kicked out. And do NOT only post once between disappearances, or you will be given the boot.
8. PM me with profiles under the tittle "Faren vs Gailor".
9. Put a dramallama in the bottom right hand corner of your PM and a heart in the upper left hand corner. This proves to me that you read all of my rules.
10. I have the right to add or change rules as I see fit, so check back often.
11. Have fun. biggrin
12. Oh, and one more thing. This is a literate role play. There will be no first person, no *text* for actions, no txt talk, and little to no one liners. I expect at least one paragraph each post. I understand writer's block, but too much is just ridiculous. Even in cases of extreme writer's block, aim for a full, 5 sentence paragraph, even if you have to type random things about their surroundings or something.

This is a map of the continent. I know it sucks. I can't draw in real life, much less on the computer, so you're going to have to deal with it. XD I kid, I kid. Anyway! Enough joking around. The only two countries that you need worry about in this RP are Faren and Gailor. The other three have their own problems and their own RP, which I will put up at a later date. This is a close up of Faren that shows the major cities. I figured it'd be easier to make a map of it than to try to describe it.

Personality: Aki is willing to fight to protect those he loves. He always puts the citizens of Faren before himself and rarely thinks about his own happiness or wishes. He is optimistic for the most part, and he usually seems cheerful, but that is just a mask hiding his real feelings of anger and grief.
Weapon: Aki has two swords. One is a silver blade his mother had made for him a year before the attack. The other is the treasure of House Faren, the sacred blade Rakurai. This blade has been passed down through the Faren bloodline since its founding centuries ago. An ancient magic surrounds it that prevents anyone from touching it unless they are from the Faren royal family.

Bio: Akihiko was born and raised in the castle at Sisnia. Five years after that his sister, Alice was born. His father was King Richard, his mother Queen Eliza. His childhood was...odd for one of the royal family. His father was too engrossed in his secret business that he would tell no one about, not even if family. He was close to his mother, however. As she had been a commoner before Richard had chosen her as his bride, Eliza often took her two children out to see the people in the city. Thus Akihiko and Alice grew to love the common people much more than Richard ever did.
When Akihiko came to be eight, his father ordered the best teachers from all across Faren to come and teach the young prince. He learned Faren's history, how to solve complicated mathematical problems, the science of the world as they knew it, and, eventually, sword fighting. They had attempted magic with the boy, but Akihiko had no luck with it. The only "magic" he was able to perform was controlling the lightning that streaked across Rakurai. What surprised his teachers most is the ease with which he learned it. Even his father was impressed. He was never truly able to control the lightning even after he became king. The only theory about what had happened was that the blade had chosen Akihiko, for reasons unknown.
Other than the odd experience with Rakurai, life passed smoothly for the Faren heir. When the boy turned fifteen, Akihiko started to learn about politics, as was the custom. Unfortunately, he was not very far along in his studies when disaster struck. Gailor invaded Faren. They were taken by surprise at the ferocity of the attack, and thus were ill prepared. Gailor advanced quickly. They reached Sisnia in no time flat. The city lasted no longer than a day before the army failed. King Gailor rushed into the castle, along with his elite. All the nobles were killed. In the throne room, Gailor had the royal family cornered. Akihiko watched helplessly as King Gailor killed his parents and Alice. Then Gailor turned on him. Before he could kill him, however, a Faren soldier named Hana burst into the throne room and protected the prince. With her aid, Akihiko managed to escape the castle with Rakurai. On that day, he swore that he would kill Gailor, avenge his parents, and reclaim Faren.
Two years after the attack, Aki was living as a mercenary on the Faren-Gailor border. He and Hana escorted merchant caravans, protected villages from bandits, and eradicated brigands for the small villages there, all the while avoiding Gailor's notice. Aki is, in reality, the missing Prince Akihiko, and he has been biding his time for the past two years, growing stronger and waiting for Gailor to let his guard down and believe that the boy was dead. When that happens, Aki will be ready to fight.
Other: During their two years as mercenaries, Aki and Hana formed a bond that only a brother and his sister can have.

Personality: Hana is kind and caring, protective, and she will always put Aki before anything else. If needed, she will sacrifice her own life to protect those she cares about. She doesn't seem to care about what others think about her.
Weapon: no physical weapon, but she used chi as a weapon(described below)
Side: Faren
Bio: Hana grew up in a small village about a day away from the capital of Sisnia. Ever since she was little, she had amazing talent in using her chi in various manners. Now, normally it would take a person half their lifetimes to master this ability, and even then they find it difficult to use it effectively. Thus Hana was labeled as a freak and avoided for her entire life. Even her own parents seemed to fear her. When she was sixteen, she decided to get away from the village, so she went to Sisnia to join the army. At first she was turned down simply for being a woman, but then the army found out about her special talent. Since chi masters were quite rare, they bent the rule and allowed her to join the Faren army.
Four years after joining, and Hana was still low in rank. No one wanted a woman in command, and thus she remained a low ranking foot soldier. During the attack on the castle, she was separated from the rest of her squad. She feared for the royal family and, rather than searching for her squad for orders, ran to the throne room. But she was almost too late to do anything. Almost. King Richard, Queen Eliza, and Princess Alice were already dead by the time she ran into the room. However, luck was on her side. Gailor had been just about to kill Prince Akihiko, but her running distracted him long enough to run to the prince and get him away from Gailor. She then assisted the prince in his escape from the castle.
For two year she protected the prince, who started going by Aki. During the two years they lived as common mercenaries, he became like a brother to her, and she like a sister to him. She knows that Aki is strong enough to fight Gailor, if only the chance will come.
Other: She manipulates chi into blasts of chi that she uses as an offense, chi barriers that she uses as a defense, and healing wounded allies with chi

Gender: male
Personality: Gailor cold to his enemies, yet treats his allies with loyalty and respect. He cares greatly for the Gailor citizens and, while it may not seem like it at times, puts them before everything else.

Side: Gailor
Bio: Emil Heiden Gailor was born in the castle at Gailor's capital. His childhood was full of both happy and sad times. Running around the gardens with the children of the noble houses, sneaking into the city, being scolded by his father for stealing sweets from the kitchens. And the death of his mother. He had been around ten years old at the time. His mother had fallen ill to a disease of unknown origin. The doctors couldn't do anything to help, and she passed away a month later.
By the time he was eighteen, he was a prince who was much loved by the Gailor citizens. He was always striving to be a prince and a king worthy of their devotion. He was a prince who cared about his people. He especially cared about a woman named Annalise. Though she was of common birth, Emil fell in love with her. He was overjoyed when he discovered that she returned his feelings. Emil informed his father of his intention to marry the girl. His father gave them both his blessing. Unfortunately, his father died of the same illness that claimed his mother eight years earlier before the two could marry and never got to see the wedding of his only son. His death took its toll on the young Gailor, but he only worked that much harder to be a king equal to his father. So when he and Annalise married and he ascended to the throne, he was one of the best kings in all of the country's history.
Emil and Annalise were happy together. They had a daughter who they named Lena. They were married for almost seventeen years before Emil's life was destroyed. Annalise was assassinated by Faren. The assassin had orders that came directly from King Richard of Faren himself. Emil was 35. Filled with grief and rage, he ordered his army to invade Faren. And he conquered it. He killed the man who had his wife assassinated, then his painted doll of a wife and the daughter that looked like her. He turned and raised his sword to kill the prince, who was a mirror image of his father, but a woman soldier entered the room and got the prince away.
Gailor claimed the Faren throne for his own. He sent squad after squad to find and kill the young Prince Faren, but he was nowhere to be found, as if he just vanished out of thin air. Gailor decided to waste no more time in this wild goose chase. He knew the boy would rise up and try to avenge his family sooner or later. When he does, Gailor will be ready.

Personality: Satoshi is a mysterious young man. He isn't too talkative, not even to his allies, and prefers to just listen in the background. He is cold hearted to his enemies, but he is immensely loyal to Gailor. He refuses to get close to anyone, but whether it is because he hates people or he's afraid of getting hurt is unknown.
Weapon: knives and daggers
Side: Gailor
Bio: Nothing at all is known about Satoshi's past. He seemed to appear out of nowhere just a year before the attack on Faren when he joined the army. His skills with knives and daggers were impressive and soon became the king's personal assassin.
