The sky is grey, looks like it’s going to rain…


Len held out his hand, palm up, toward the billowing clouds. A single drop hit his palm, and the water trickled down his arm. He hummed softly to himself.


It’s as cloudy as my mind…


He stood in the empty cobblestone street, alone. H e watched as the silver slashes of rain cut through the air and splashed onto the ground at his feet, until one of them struck his consciousness.

Len stumbled back a few steps, his eyes wild and frightened, his breathing sounding like one being strangled. “No! Not now!” He threw himself against a wall in the hopes of getting out of the rain. Choking out sobs, Len crumpled to the ground and curled up with his arms around his head, the roaring of the storm ringing in his ears. He struggled to sit up, his pale gold hair falling across his face and half-blinding him. Streams of water ran down Len’s cheeks, streams of both rain and tears, but it didn’t matter. If she didn’t care what was happening in his head right now, then he didn’t care either.
